I worked from home this week and it is definitely harder on my eating control. I don't really want to be back in the office full time - that'll come - but I must continue to work on home based strategies. Baking bread is NOT one of them. Well, that's wrong, I should be able to bake a loaf of 100% whole wheat bread but I should be able to stop myself from going back and back to it for one more slice. It is not hunger. It's not wanting to start what I should be doing.
I had a bit of catching up to do on this thread (not as bad as @Kali225 but nearly) and loved seeing all the photos @PlaneMonkey, @Terytha @DD265. I will say that I read all the posts last evening, and immediately put on my sneakers and went for a walk (even broke into a run a couple times) - I hadn't done that for a month and it was all of you inspiring me. @jugar you seem on the fast track for healing and that's awesome (& the trip to visit your daughter!)
The days are definitely getting longer, the birds are singing like they know spring is coming, and getting busy outdoors in the garden and more active will help I am sure.3 -

I thought about you the other day when we took a short snowy walk. I should’ve had the snowshoes on but alas, they were safe and sound at home! Every few steps, my foot would break through the crusty layer and threaten to dump me over.
I can’t believe it’s already the last Thursday of the month. Sorry to make it a red mark.
Maybe March will be easier to get moving a little more and eating less, or something. I’m feeling out of sorts. OH was offered a cook position (with or without the culinary course) in Jackson Hole (6/4-10/4)...hard to feel supportive when everything seems to be in limbo for me.
I’ll try to keep an even keel and not eat my feelings, as it were. Tempting, though!3 -
Happy Thursday!
Beautiful snowstorm here, and all is quiet.
@eggfreak
Yes, the yoyo phase is horrible. It beats the constant gaining alternative, though. I'll be happy to put you on support for March, but please continue to weigh in and come by for your dose of inspiration to get those sneakers, boots, sandals, or whatever onto the feet and outside to sail around on those feet. When you come in, do a few lunges or something, and you'll feel so much better than after eating that extra piece of delicious toast. Yeah, we already know all that when we're eating the toast, and we know it isn't hunger, but it happens. Get that one perfect day in whenever needed and hang in there!
@EvMakesChanges
You too! No dumping over in the snow! Stick to the little roads when the snow is like this, ok? Eating those feelings can sometimes be useful, if the eaten items are taking good care of you. Stock up on things you can eat that aren't going to leave you in a worse place than you are now - grapefruits, raw veg with veggie paté or hummous, apples with a light smear of almond butter (or sunflower butter - my personal fave). Hugs!!!!!
@micki48
So warm out! Wow. That must feel nice to stroll outside in no jacket, no boots, no scarf, no mittens. I'm not complaining - winter can last as long as it wants to as far as I'm concerned, but it still sounds kind of delicious. You're building up some great green check marks there, too. WTG!3 -
yall I am on some kind of bender. Part of it is coming off vacation, and part is work frustration, and part is the totally transitory nature of this week - I am packing up my whole apartment as we speak, so I can move on Saturday with the help of my parents and 2 kind friends. Lots of different stressors at work. Although at least I am making progress on all the packing. The living room is starting to look insane.
Still getting my steps but man, was I lazy about it on Mon & Tues. I did get 2 miles ran in yesterday, while video chatting with my sister and ranting and raving about our shared job place frustrations. (Conclusion: everyone is moron, the end.)
But I have been eating terribly! Just terrible. And I cooked up a frozen eggplant parmesan on Monday night to warm for the rest of the week and I haven't even tried it because I have just been snacking! I even ordered a (small) pizza for lunch on Tuesday! Earth to brain, knock it off!!
I haven't worked out since last thursday, but luckily I am not want to miss my friend's yoga sculpt class tonight. At least that is a given.
I didn't want to keep hiding from chat since I tend to do that when I am not doing well. Here's the accountability check-on. Send me some good vibes and motivation!!
@jugar glad you are recuperating!! And it will be so nice to get a visit in with your daughter.
@eggfreak frustrating with the yo-yo, but good for you for letting the urge to run free take over during your walk!
@micki48 I don't know if I have mentioned this, but my oldest sister also lives in NC and she was sharing the beautiful weather this week. I like winter and the Northeast, but ooo.... 70 degrees sounds pretty dang nice right now.2 -
Greetings friends!
Well I'm just jumping on to do some spontaneous cleansing - I have been very bad today. Don't know what I was thinking 🤔
Line drawn and I am going to bed. I will be so good tomorrow.
Night all!4 -
@Kali225 and @YinxFed
Accountability check-in received! Spontaneous cleansing from bad day - check!
As soon as possible, it is deep deep breath time. Moving is crazy, life is crazy - these kinds of days happen and are nothing to beat yourself up about. BUT. You have to take those deep breaths, think about what you're going to do for food before the day gets all wound around you and pulls the string. I always hated that saying "failing to plan is planning to fail", but sometimes it is way too true. So you can just have a day that will be like that, get past it, and go on. Or you can plan how to avoid the stuff that make your day very bad. You've got this!3 -

Ana and Sarah! I hope you're doing all right - please submit your weigh-ins for this week if you can, or let me know if you need the week off. Hugs to you!

I tried on everything in my closet this week. I’m at that point where “I have nothing to wear”... because my clothes feel and look different on me.
I’m happy to say that I finally fit the dress I’ve had for at least ten years (with the tag still on it) that I was determined to fit in! Funny how I kept it forever and how great it felt to zip it up so easily!4 -
Had a busy few days work wise, and have been working late. It's coming into my customer's peak trading period which means I get busier helping them. In 2019 I took the extra hours as overtime, in 2020, and 2021, I am taking it as TOIL to try and avoid burnout.
We've got a week off in April but can't go away due to lockdown regulations (which might be reduced the week after) so I've pushed that to June, but we're keeping the original time off work too. Then last night we booked a lovely Airbnb on the south coast for a few nights in September with my mum and sister, which I'm really looking forward to. I don't think either of these trips will change my approach to weight loss (some people try to rush it for a holiday), but I'm looking forward to getting some nice photographs where I hopefully look at myself and think I'm looking good.
I went on the mini trampoline for 30 mins on Wednesday and my knees didn't thank me, so I've just walked since. Going for a longer walk with a friend this afternoon if I can finish work in time. With working the extra hours I've not gotten round to creating a targeted exercise plan yet - but it's on my list for the weekend along with more DIY. I also feel like spring cleaning and decluttering; it might not be warm, but it's beautifully sunny outside and I'm getting triggered4 -

Happy Friday y’all, I totally missed checking in and saying heyyyy this week but iv been here watching.. we had a few things to do for the new house, they pushed our closing date back from March 6th to April 9th because they are behind schedule which FYI is only because they messed up multiple things when we went in to do a walk through so very frustrating and time consuming when the process goes all bad lol anyways.. This week I was able to get my cousin out with me a couple times to walk it’s been in the 60s and beautiful outside the past couple days... we are supposed to have a decent weekend so fingers crossed 🤞🏻 that the weekend stays the same we do have rain for today but I need some outdoor activities with the kids in my life ASAP .. plus I’ll be out there selling Girl Scout cookies with my daughter 🤦🏻♀️
Ok ok enough of my rambling.. hope you all have a fantastic weekend!!!4 -
Hi everyone! Just a quick jump in. My internet has been out going on the third day. Hope you are all well. Hopefully this get fixed today. Using a hotspot, but that's extra $$.4

Fireworks! I had one of those dresses I kept for a long time and when it finally zipped, well, I know just how you feel! It is amazing. Finally I had to give that dress away because it became too big! Well done Steph! AND to make it even sweeter, your previous weight was 158.5 - you really had a great week4 -
Happy Friday!
Beautiful weigh-ins here this morning - great job @steph1498 and @SMcFall0215
I have just had a somewhat startling weigh-in as well. Even though I'm on maintenance, I weigh in every Friday. I am at the lowest in ages - 112.8 - and I'm eating like crazy and not getting as much exercise as usual! I think the giant hematoma weighed a lot more than I thought it did. It is still draining, and the weight just keeps slowly going down. Easy way to lose, and if it keeps going, I'll have to work on eating more I worry that I'm losing muscle, though, so will slowly have to get back to some strength work. I'm having dreams every night of getting back onto my beautiful horse. He's going to need some work after this year off too His life has been way too boring, right?
I'm trying to think up a really good challenge for next week. I'm waffling between a few:- 3 magic numbers (one of the old stand-bys) - daily report on any 3 numbers (fibre, water, sleep, minutes of ex. etc)
- one week commitment - pick something you're having trouble sticking to and do it every single day without fail.
- affirmation - every day write "I used to ___. Now I ___." (kind of like #2)
- something to do with working from home?
Please let me know if you have any ideas that would help you! It does not have to be one of these. Anything will do. Thanks!2 -
Happy Friday, Folks!
So I will be following the British Heart Foundation's 25k Trek training plan from next week. It is for 16 weeks so that gives me some contingency as my London Bridges Challenge is 26 weeks away.
And one of my good friends has agreed to coach me once a week too!
Love it when a plan comes together!3 -

I did not eat any of the Buster Bars in the lunchroom despite wanting sugar more than I wanted air. It was hard, I was exhausted and stressed, but I did it. 450 calories for ice cream was just too many.
My employee review today was an hour long and left me feeling like a boiled potato, all hot and mushy. But it was positive, I'd say. Quite positive. So I'll take it as a win at work and a win at calories, get a little exercise tonight and hopefully sleep well.
@YinxFed that sounds amazing, hope its really fun!
@jugar The weekly challenge we're doing on another board is a "pick three challenges" in the categories of nutrition, physical fitness and personal growth. Maybe that would be good here?4 -

Hi everyone! Internet is back up. I did my pilates this am (16 minutes) and a 39 minute walk. It was a little chilly today. Got my walk in early because it was going to rain. Pouring now.
This has been a good week logging, exercising, being under calories, but I'm not sure how the scale will be tomorrow. It was not great this morning. Hopefully, it's inflammation from using those muscles. I have been good sore this week. My steps are over 11K today.
Glad to see nice losses, people finding motivation and people looking for it. It's all part of the journey. I also cannot believe that Monday is March. Time flies. We are almost at the one year mark for social distancing and this pandemic. It is hard to believe.
@kali225 Wishing you a smooth move this weekend. Cut yourself a break. Moving is a big stressor. You know once you get settled, you get back to being focused.
So yesterday as I was taking my granddaughter to the car along with her backpack, a bag of food, my purse, I put her in and then realized I didn't have my keys. Asked to borrow my husband's. Went to my daughter's for dinner. When we got home, I checked the basket where I keep my keys--no keys. Once I was in bed and starting to get all cozy warm, I realized I put my keys on top of the car when I was putting Juliet in. So at 12:30am, I went outside in my pjs and robe with a lantern looking for those keys. LOL No keys. But, I knew it was likely they were on the busier road from when I turned. This morning my husband found my keys on the busy road...well what was left of them. They had been run over a number of times. Thankfully, my car keys, though battered, still work. There is just no way to attach them to a ring anymore. I even found this medallion my daughter made for me years ago. That was an adventure! I can't believe I had NO recollection of putting my keys on the roof, but I do remember Juliet kept looking up through the sun roof.

No change in weight but have non scale victories so I'm happy. My jeans are to big and so are some of my tops. My feet aren't swollen and I am able to do more without getting extremely tired. Loving it 🥰!. Sometimes you feel like you haven't lost anything because the changes can seem small or you still see yourself at your heaviest so I was glad to see that even though the scale hasn't moved my body is changing and getting healthier and thats very important to me.
Hope everyone stays safe this weekend.5 -
Well done on finding your keys @micki48 ! Putting things on the car roof is a dangerous habit. I knew a flutist in Boston who put his instrument case on top of the car and drove off. Luckily, a young boy picked it up and was happy to take the reward for its safe return! It was worth a lot of $$$$... Glad you found them!
So, a couple more Friday weigh-ins are due, and here is the list for Saturday as well -

So happy to see that number and finally get under 160, still a way to go to get to my target but things seem on track at the moment. My starting weight was 183lb, and when I look back on those photos last year, I feel ashamed. I was sick of yo-yo- ing with my weight, I'd be really focused for 2 weeks then I'd crash for 2 weeks and couldn't get a consistent routine going 😒
I started using the beachbody app in January and doing the MBF rounds🥵, it just clicked with my body, got me focused on my nutrition and I feel so much fitter and stronger💪, although I've currently got a shoulder injury, im still calorie counting and getting on my treadmill🏃♀️ every other day for a 5 k run and I'm challenging myself to 14k steps every day. 🚶♀️
I cant tell you how much happier and healthier I feel at the moment, I don't want it to stop 🙏🙏🙏 we had a horrid Yr in 2020 and lost many family members to covid, as did many. I just pray that this happiness can continue 🙏 and that 2021 can be happy for many of us! ❤❤❤❤7 -

I have not been very active in the chat this month. It has definitely been a challenging month. I plan on changing that in March. I really need to focus on finding balance in my life, which includes healthy eating and working out. I have seen a lot of positve posts in here and it sounds like you all are doing amazing things.
The baby is still making morning workouts a challenge, but I have found 2 solutions. I can do Barre upstairs, since it only involves a set of light weights and bands. I am also committed to either walking or getting on elliptical 4 days a week. I live the MBF workouts that I was doing when I was teaching from home. I am going to commit to those on the Weekend and Wednesdays.
As for eating, I feel like I have a solid meal plan, that keeps me full during the day and allows me some flexibility in the evening.
I hope you all have a great weekend. @micki48 I will check in with my steps tomorrow. I know I missed that last week.6
