Happy Saturday!
Welcome to you @riagalgate - it sounds like you are on a great track, and I hope we can help you stay there and to get over the humps in the road that are probably going to happen from time to time. When you have a minute, tell us a bit about yourself - where you live, and whatever you are comfortable sharing.
@kiay131982 great job! Go, Mel, go!
@KellyBgetsfit so good to hear from you Hang in there - that baby is going to have a great role model after watching you do barre and getting that balance as right as it is possible to get with little ones around. You are amazing.
I'm off for a walk with a friend today for the first time in ages! It will be so good to talk to someone other than the tall guy and people on telephones. I hope we can have a really long walk - but snow is starting. We'll see!
Have a good one everybody - the March threads will open this afternoon when I get back, and we can start a new round of intros.2 -
@jugar Hey... I will be back for March if you could use 163.2 as a starting weight that was my weight this morning... Thanks, see you all in the new thread...5

Hello everyone!
@jugar I will stay on support for March. The reverse diet is going well and I have increased my calories from 1250 to 1500 and only gained 3 lbs. I have been really inconsistent with working out. Focus for March is definitely lifting weights consistently. I'm hoping by getting my workouts under control I will see the scale hold still while I increase my calories 😅.
@steph1498 Amazing job on fitting into the dress!
I know there was someone else who had a clothing victory. If I scroll back it will delete my post. Anyway, congrats on the clothing fitting and having more energy!
I found a cool clothing company that makes 5 pieces capsule wardrobes and the 5 pieces can combine into 30 different outfits! I ordered a set so I will let you know if they are worth it. The company is called Vetta Capsule. A nice idea when you need clothes but aren't at your goal weight.3 -

For those of you who know me (and those that are newer), that is a HUGE loss for me. I haven't seen a pound loss in...I can't remember how long. That 196 was holding on with a death grip.
What have I done differently this week? Logged my food. Exercised just about every day. For me that means 10 or 15 minutes ish on the mat doing Pilates and taking a 2 mile walk, generally. Including 15 minutes of Pilates this morning.
So, I am VERY happy with that loss of a pound. Now, to tackle my next issue...consistency. I will often have a great week step wise and then the next week is a bust. I am confident I will keep it up though (weather permitting) as I have my Pilates challenge and I am REALLY seeing the benefit of getting on my mat regularly. This has been one of the best months I've had in a while. Even 15 minutes 3x a week, builds strength and flexibility. Love it! I know one of the differences is that I am not watching my granddaughter everyday starting at 7:45am so I can get up, start my coffee, get my mat out and get going. She usually doesn't come until around 11:30 now. Once my daughter finds a new job, that will probably change again, but I will still need to work out a way to fit it in for ME then too.
In regards to feeling disgusted with oneself that I read a friend mention, I know and understand that feeling, but I want to say to you and to anyone of us who needs it, we should NEVER feel disgusted with ourselves. It makes me sad that something in our society makes us believe we are not worthy when we are "heavy". We are precious and not perfect. We all have moments (and years) that we are not where we would like to be, but we are still valuable, fabulous, wonderful people with kindness and love and caring and so many other gifts. One thing I have learned in life is to appreciate your whole self where ever you are. Do what you can to make the changes that you want to see, but give yourself grace when you "mess up." It is a journey and we all know what it feels like. That's why we are here. For many of us, the heavy stage came when we are/were raising families, juggling a home, career, making moves, starting relationships. All those things happen in life. I just want to remind you that at each stage we are in we are still valuable and wonderful. Fat or thin does not define our value. We are all worthy of love and kindness. You are FABULOUS!!! Enjoy your day.8 -

Everything about this post is wonderful.- First of all, YES YES YES you lost a pound and know why/how. The death grip is loosening!
- Second - you know what you need to keep this going - consistency. Right now the energy is high, and you will do this! Let's all help build consistency tools to be able to keep it going when energy flags a bit, or life happens.
- Third - your exercise plan fits you perfectly. This is a good time to note any other things you like to do as exercise for any days you need something different. Feeling a bit stale is not a reason to skip it altogether!
- Fourth - you are absolutely right about feeling disgusted. Everyone please re-read this paragraph often. Copy it and tuck it away somewhere for when you are feeling bad. Let's lay on lashes of love and kindness - thank you Michele!
