Well, it does look healthy, although you probably got a good dose of sodium from the onion soup mix - but that stuff is so easy and tasty. I read that you got 4 "mice" servings out of it. 😯 Then I got it! Wade really likes soup but me, not so much. I like thick and creamy stuff, not as good for me as the other kind, but I just don't like the thinner soups. We recently made pea soup and it was super thick. We refrigerated some of it and had to add water to it for it to be soup again! LOL! Loved it.

Lunch will be left-over salmon patties. Wade had those last night but since I'd had my pizza for lunch I didn't want another big meal so had some yogurt and granola.

Wow, my left and right shoulder are doing a job on me, especially the left last night - it was really hard to get comfortable. I did the three extra-strength acetaminophen this morning and that took off the edge. Phew. Not sure what is going on with that. I see the arthritis doc in less than a week, so he should be able to help. I don't know, give me lots of shots and I'll be fine! Gonna have to rest today with the pain in the shoulders and lower back.

How are you doing today? I love when I see you on, it means you aren't debilitated at least! Love you.

I love both….a sippy soup or the thick ones. I had one of my containers of soup for lunch and it was wonderful today! Yes….the sodium is rather high but compared to a can of Progresso, I'm about even and get way more veggies and yummy stuff with mine…the boatload of veggies especially!

I guess the spices melded well overnight as it was even better today. AND….I am using my rice cooker for the first time! I'm cooking baby Lima beans with boneless ham hock and some of the mirepoix. I love the ready to use frozen blends! Cuts way down on the hacking/dicing/chopping and slicing! I like the soup veggies with okra in them but the bag I have doesn't. Oh well….I set out a box of Jiffy cornbread mix to make to use with the beans. I love how that little cooker is going to town!

I've pushed myself a bit this morning…got the dishwasher dealt with, vacuumed some, cleaned the stove, decluttered my table and am staying alert…no nap while the beans are cooking. I figure they will be done by 2….and I can go down then if need be.

Ouch! So sorry the pain is rearing up today! I hope you can get some encouragement/help with your upcoming appointment.

Here's my cute little rice cooker….Now that I know how well it works…I'll use it for sure! I have rice and veggies in mind.

Oh, it's so cute! Wade has been doing pintos in our Insta-pot. He cooks them in the pressure cooker mode and then sautés them in that mode afterwards. They are very good, and I'm not much of a pinto eater!

I had a porkchop for lunch today and have another one for tomorrow. It will be yogurt and grapes and granola for dinner. I might see if I can mix a scoop of protein mix into it so I can get the added nutrients as well. I'm getting more of the vitamins and minerals from my powders than I would get if I ate all of those fruits and veggies; and none of them a synthesized in a lab; made from real stuff! Hopefully that means something! LOL!

Well, I'm going to go and rest for a bit and then eat my yogurt. Love you

After my great day Thursday (work wise), I had a full rest day yesterday….my back is squealing this morning but I'm still doing some chores…using the timer, list at hand.

I have 508 responses to my post about wasted produce. LOL…My goal is to STOP doing that….for 2026….and will start practicing now…after I sort the fridge again. Feels good to have good company on the journey.

Wade's pintos do sound good! I have assorted bags in there to play with…pinto, black eyed pea, 15 bean, another bag and a half of the baby lima beans (a favorite) and a bag of lentils. I love lentil soup!

Makes sense for those of you who use the powders! You want as real as you can get. I'm one on the other side who likes eating (or wasting) my produce. LOL…I have lots of lovely things to choose from in my freezer but am working on using my fresh stuff up. I'm trying to cut down on my orders…so putting more thought into what I drop into my virtual cart.

You mentioned strong hair back a few posts….Mine is really thin and I lose more each time I comb it…and it seems to be mostly on the grey side and I don't care! I do appreciate the hair other ladies are blessed with….My nails have done well after a 2 year healing time after getting acrylics for 4 years. they were horrid! I found a nice product that helped so much, with calcium in it. Can't find it anymore tho. My nails do grow fast….the hair…not so much but I do hack off about 3 inches, twice a year. I just do it up in a clip, comb or scrunchie. this was me on my hospital ride back last year. The EMT's grabbed my phone and wallet but no comb. LOL

Wishing all a blessed weekend…stay safe, cozy and close to Jesus. Love you!

I don't know, I think you are kinda cute in that picture! LOL! 🤣 Thanks for the laugh!

I've been taking my beet root for hair, skin, and nails every day (gummies) and I can see a difference in my skin. That is one I will keep getting. I also take a beet root capsule for my circulation, it's slow in my legs, possibly because of the lymphedema and lipedema!

There is no way that I could eat enough fruits and veggies (even if I liked the veggies) to get the nutrition that I get in the powders and pills. I just can't eat that much. I guess if every meal was a fruit and veggie smoothie I could figure out a way to do it, but I still don't think I could shove that many in a smoothie that wouldn't need two cups! LOL!

I hope that you have a wonderful and restful weekend. Love you.

Oh, I did get around 720 steps today in a walk outside! Yippee!

Thank you! I was kinda cute!

I had a bit of a rambling night last night, got up once and watched a bit of a movie with Liam Neeson in it. I always liked him, as an actor…along with about 6 others I can't name at the moment. Brain fog is getting more pronounced. I'll remember another name randomly, I am sure. I might need to play some brain games or something? Denzel Washington….see there?

I love beets….LOL…I have a can in my pantry….I do know you can't/won't eat a lot of veggies/fruit and there are many who have the same dislike…Sharon for example. I've mentioned before how she's see my lunch from home, say "That looks/smells so good. I wouldn't eat it but it looks good." LOL. I remember Missy and I offering to eat all the kale that you wouldn't eat.

I made up some pea salad yesterday. It was good. I had it with some jalapeno cheddar smoked sausages. Yummy. Today, I think I'll put on some 15 bean soup so I can use the rest of the boneless hock I have thawed.

After my rambling/reading time…I slept until 10:30 this morning so no coffee. I'm going to go play in the kitchen and see what I can tap off my ever present chore list today. Love you lots and hope you have a really good day at your spot. It's lovely and sunny here today with an expected high of 58. It's 55 at the moment and I love it! Be blessed!

Tomorrow is my visit to the arthritis PA. I hope he can tell me more than "Give it four more weeks". 😭 By God's grace I can handle anything, especially if I know it's going to end! It's just hard because functioning basically stops! I did do the dishes one day and cooked up some taco meat for Wade. I'm going to get outside and walk again this afternoon too - whenever the temps reach into the 60's! It's supposed to go up to 68 today, but it's only 56 at quarter to 2 - I don't think we are going get too much higher than where we are though because it's only supposed to get colder today! Hmmm???

I am so grateful to the Lord that I do sleep fairly well, other than the once or twice to the bathroom - I go right back to sleep. I did get up at 6:45 this morning after falling asleep around 12:45 last night. Big yawn! I actually feel less sleepy today than I do most days!

Have a blessed day! Love you
