My weigh in day's are Friday and have been posted in case you didn't see this one
Sorry, Friday! And I the people I am referring to as not weighing in were at the bottom, not the group that you were in at the top.1 -
Exercise: 8k steps, arms
Calories: nope, went out to a bar for the first time in over a year! Didn't go TOTALLY wild, but ate lots of fries, etc...it was so fun!

@cindyk4919 - nice job on being the fun grandma! And killing your Fitbit in the process! That’s hilarious! So glad you were able to do all that and make those memories with your grands! I have a Fitbit Alta, and I love it. I had a lot of skin reactions to the big square step counters and the Alta is thinner and less bulky. It doesn’t have all the features of the others, but all that I wanted.
@Keepingtrack1234 - out?! With people?! Isn’t it amazing how good that feels after the past year? I’m definitely a big introvert, but even I’m enjoying doing some of the old “normal” things around people!0 -

Tuesday Check in
Did great with the calories yesterday, reasonably well with the exercise, need to focus on drinking a little more water! Hope everyone is doing OK!1 -
Check in!
Exercise 13k steps!
Calories under!0 -
Yesterday I got in my swimming AND had more than 10000 steps. Calories was over normal budget but still a thousand less than I burned ( according to my fancy new Fitbit)
Scale finally moved a smidgen.1 -
Check In!
Recovery going well. Just got my staples out!
Still must wait for the incisions to heal completely before I resume swimming.
Calories: under or close to my calorie goal.
Activities: no swimming, no walking, no cycling, no weight lifting...
So I'm doing some other things:- moved my junk drawer from the kitchen to a side table with drawers in my living room, to make more room in the kitchen for all the kitchen gadgets.
- sorting through old financial papers, discarding what I no longer need.
- sorting through clothes that no longer fit, to donate to charity. (I don't plan on ever needing those sizes again!)
- now that my staples are out, I'll start playing the guitar again.
- got a list of books I can read!

Hi team! I will be out of town for the next 12 days; I will still be able to log weights (we will not be off the grid this time!) but won't be as active on check in's...my focus is on overall calories while not depriving myself at all. I anticipate lots of hiking as we are headed to an area in very close proximity to a National Park (but also a lot of breweries, so...)
Please remember to weigh in on your day so I can add it to the spreadsheet-thanks!1 -
Thought of the day, from scientist/poet Piet Hein:
Of drink and victuals and such like stuff,
A little too little is just enough.Piet Hein was a Danish polymath who invented the Soma Cube and Super Egg, among other things. As part of the Danish WWII resistance, he began writing what he called Gruks/Grooks (short poems accompanied by a simple sketch). His grooks are characterized by irony, paradox and satire.1 -

Today was measure day for me ( monthly). Very interesting
June was month one and the biggest loser was my hips. -1”. Waist only lost about 1/4”
July was month two and those losses flipped. -1” on waist and the hips only lost 1/4”.
My exercise has been primarily swimming.
I am going to attempt to add some abdominal calisthenics now. Wish me luck because these guys will think that it’s all about them if I get down on the floor.2 -

OMG Your dogs are SO CUTE!!!
I love the idea of a monthly measuring; I should really do that. I bet it's REALLY helpful...any suggestions on a particular measuring tape, or just a flexible one?
You are doing so well! I am really proud of you!0 -
