Good morning team! Back on track for a whole day yay! Let’s hope I can keep this up lol. I’ve been working out with a friend of mine and I’m loving it so much. She takes her workouts as seriously as I do and we help each other and give each other tips etc. I enjoy doing it on my own but I also love spending this time with her. We are so likeminded and love to push each other and always promise to go all the way to the end. No quitting.
I’ve also been enjoying making my own bagels here at home with a skinnytaste recipe. So easy to make and my whole family loves them. I’ll post a photo and link here if you are interested.
Those bagels look so good!!!!3 -

No increase this week...woohoo!! I returned to working in the office on monday...short lived as we were sent back home within a couple of hours. But I had already preplanned & made our lunches & dinner as I figured the first week back would be exhausting. So it's been great to just grab stuff & warm it up this week. I might have to keep this going. Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!5 -

Good Evening my friends... 😋
Chest, Triceps and Shoulders.... 💪
The rehab plan seems to be working, I'm able to do more work successfully at generally lower weight but I'm hitting higher reps counts hopefully still building strength and endurance. And with some luck giving whatever busted in my shoulder/arm a chance to fix itself.
Oh and no more 1 arm workout business... Two hands on deck for everything starting today.
And as long as the pain stays away, I'm just going to keep going up 5 pounds a week on bench till I get back to where I was, and just go to failure hitting as many reps as I can.... And a similar story with fly's but only going up by 2.5 per week...
I also found what does hurt today... I decided to add Ez Bar Skull Crushers back to the roster today, but lucky for me I decided add a warmup set at just 40 pounds... And thank goodness I did because that turned out to be uncomfortable, so I decided to stay at 40 and do 2 more work sets. (It did feel better with each set though). 👍
Overall, I feel like I'm still progressing and growing stronger. So, Yahoo.... lol
The workout...
DB Flat Bench Press (Till I can't do anymore)
37.5LB x 25 (Warm up Set)
45LB x 20
45LB x 20
45LB x 19 (Going up to 50LB next week) 👍
No pain... Great!
Seated Overhead DB Shoulder Press (3 x 8-12)
37.5LB x 11
37.5LB x 12
37.5LB x 11 (Going up to 40lb next week) 👍
The shoulder press is the at full weight, no slacking off here as it just feels almost normal. 🙂
Incline DB Fly's (Till I can't do anymore)
25LB x 20
25LB x 22
25LB x 20 (Going up to 27.5LB next week)
Not much discomfort... Good!
Flat Bench EZ Bar Skull Crushers
40LB x 15 (This was very uncomfortable)
40LB x 20 (More comfortable)
40LB x 20 (Even more comfortable) (Going up to 45lb Next week)
Seems the first set loosened me up a lot and I was much more comfortable after that... Great burn on the triceps too. But I do need to be mindful of moving up to quickly as it does hurt a bit. Still a good way away from 57.5LB where I was. 😛
Standing Ez Bar Overhead Extensions
37.5LB x 20
37.5LB x 22 (40 next week)
DB Lateral Raises - Front, side and Back
15lb x 15 front
15lb x 15 side
15lb x 15 back
Honestly, I'm not sure I like this lateral front / side / back business..... Any expert advice? erg.
And that is that.... Another 2000 Calorie Exercise burn day in the books.
We hung the Heavy Bag at the end of the session, and I'll be hitting the bag in the morning. (That's the highest spike in heart rate of the entire session... Just take a peak for yourself. lol)
Unfortunately, I don't know if my Fitbit has enough batterie power to capture the event... I guess we will find out. But I should have a new charger in my hands by tomorrow afternoon, so not to bad. 😄
Kay I better get going it's already 8:45 and I got dishes to do yet... Sheesh!
Good night everyone! 🤗🤗🤗

Checking in...
Good day yesterday. I took the kids to see Jungle Cruise, and was a little worried about the popcorn. I’ve found if I don’t let myself have treats then I tend to binge. We got the smallest size popcorn and shared it. Good weigh in this morning—whew!
8/3 steps: 11,285.
Do I need to do anything to join the step challenge?4 -

Just back from a week long vacation. Did a lot of hikes and ate some junk. We had long, active days. Went white water rafting, hiking, swimming in freezing cold swimming holes, saw waterfalls, went horseback riding, kids went zip lining, etc. We also saw six bears including a baby bear on a hiking trail at dusk. It was a great trip.
Now, back at home, I'm feeling overwhelmed and stressed with lots to do. I'm exhausted. My mom did well taking care of herself while I was gone. Unfortunately, she had a fall last night and hurt her hip, knee and ankle. Covid numbers have surged here lately, so she is staying away from people as much as possible, so we'll see if she starts to feel better in the next few days. If not, I'll have to take her for x-rays.
It is scary to know that the scale goes up so easily. When I am home and things are fairly routine, I do so well. When I am super busy, out of town, taking care of others away from my house, etc. it is incredibly difficult. I will never give up though! That's the difference now. So, as always, thanks to all of you for being here and keep on keepin' on!6 -

8/3 steps 11,394 (will post 8/4 tomorrow)
Stayed in my calorie goal for today (8/4) which is a big success since I woke up in the middle of the night last night starving and ate two cookies. Luckily, no more cookies in the house now... I was going to go to the gym but had to take a call after work instead. Work is stressing me out. Any one else struggle with balancing ambition with work/life balance?
For dinner I made Migas -- my first time making it. Turned out amazing with lots of tomatoes, hot sauce, and some goat cheese on top with a side of black beans.
Tomorrow I am hoping to get to Body Pump class... Fingers crossed I can get to the gym in time after a doc appt.6 -
Good evening everyone. Glad to see most of you survived chocolate chip cookie day. I hope you have started getting ready for water balloon day.
Check in for 8/4:
Steps - 2993 plus 23 minutes recumbent bike moderate effort. 6 miles level 10 interval training mode. Sweated up a storm.
Calories - 1707. Happy with that number, not happy with my snacking.
Exercise - gym. Thank you all for getting me out there today. 6 machines - legs, abs, back extensions. Bike 20 min plus 3 cooldown. Last 3:45 was at 80 rpm.
Went to see jungle cruise tonight. Everyone crowded into 3 rows so daughter and I moved. Just had soda, 12 runts and having unsalted pistachios as I type this.3 -

Good morning team! Day 3 of being back on track!
I was able to hit the Gym early this morning with my workout buddy. It was a great upper body session. We are discussing setting up a weekly schedule for our workouts and what body parts we will be working each time.
Today is going to be an easy day here at home. We’ve got people working in our back garden which at the moment is just a bunch of rock but it’s finally starting to take shape. We are having a pool put in which is super exciting. I do hope we can use it before the summer ends.
I got on the scale this morning and was shocked to see a spike. I don’t know why these still surprise me. I’ve started strength training again and I know muscle repair can cause this. I’ll just keep going and won’t let this discourage me.
Blessed day team 💪🏻♥️👍🏻

A Great Thursday morning to you all!!! 😃
Not sure what I did, sleep score was okay at 71... But my stress management is doing great at 81 this morning. I actually woke up 30 seconds before the alarm, and I best my Fiancé to the washroom this morning. (highly unusual). 😋
Why was I raring to go this morning you ask? BOXING! That's why. No time to waste, every minute wasted is a minute I'm not boxing. And boxing is pretty damn fun. So down stairs I go, wrap the hands, sling the almost dead Fitbit around my forearm. Get the Interval time in position on my phone. Play music. And then the hard part of getting the gloves on. Whew (I am getting better at it). Oh, and then start the interval timer with my nose. lol
End result.. Sweat, Sweat and MORE SWEAT! Managed a full 10 round with a quick deglove and trip 2 up flights of stairs to my bedroom. Incidentally 2 fingers on each hand still fall asleep in the gloves by round 7 or 8. lol 😲😆😃😛👍
How did I do? Well glad you asked, because I did fantastic... And not only that, my Fitbit is holding on, and still going. Must be some energizer bunny in that Fitbit line. With any luck my new charger will arrive and I won't miss a freakin beat. (Literally heart beat, cause that is where my love of the Fitbit comes in).
Oh, and speaking of beat... I've now hit yet another new low Resting Heart Rate for 2 of the last 3 Days.... It is now 68. LOVE IT!!!! Yes LOVE... Mmmmmmmm
Okay I'm feeling good... Who's with me?
Love yourself guys, and all the special people in your life! (Like I love you guys. Granted some of you more than others) 😋🤗🤗🤗😍

Glad your shoulder is getting better. Awesome workout last night and boxing session this morning. Do you find you get extra hungry with these big burns? Since I stepped up my exercise there are some days I am starving. In the past when I dipped into exercise calories I gain and that is proving to be true this week. Any thoughts?
@Shannonsto
I am the same. I have a small treat every night or I will binge. I figure we have to do what works. Nice steps.

Walks are so much better with a walking partner! Nice steps!

Sounds like a great vacation! Sorry your mom fell. You are perfectly right, the key is never giving up.
@Jpedno
Nice steps! I am retired so I don’t have to balance work. Hopefully, a few teammates can offer suggestions.
@rwood566
Look at you motivated to get to the gym. Way to go!
@mari_moulin
A pool! How exciting! I think the weight spikes will always shock me. We just have to make sure they don’t derail us.

Walked, swam and did a water workout yesterday. It was rough yesterday evening and last night for pain with my back. That’s why my sleep sucked. I think the walking from the last couple of days didn’t help. I have no other choice but to walk to physio this morning but no more walks for a few days after that.
I am going swimming in a few minutes, physio later this morning and a dentist appointment this afternoon. I have a ton of housework to get caught up on the next few days.
Have a great day!

@lindamtuck2018 On the days that both kids have school I will have about 3 hours. I plan on walking while the weather is nice. My husband and I are also considering joining the gym where the kids do swim lessons. I'd love to be able to swim laps at least once a week. They also have classes that don't cost anything extra after getting the membership. The only day my daughter will be home with me is Thursdays. The only variable is going to be watching my nieces. I'm not sure of the schedule with my brother changing jobs.4 -
