Crikeys! Is it a new month already?!?!?
Hi everyone, my name is Sue and I'm 61 years old. 🙋♀️ I live in Southern Maryland with my husband of 33 years. We have two kids a daughter/SIL/grandson in Virginia, a son in Seattle, WA, and one fur baby.
I lost some weight last year, after initially gaining the COVID 15, but have held steady or crept up slightly since. I've heard rumors that my gym is reopened after 16 months. I haven't been going back at all though as I usually went at 5:30 AM on my way to work and I'm still teleworking. No point driving there just to turn around and drive home. To that end I took the plunge on Saturday and purchased a Peloton bike! I've been using the online app for the last year on a cheap generic spin bike from Amazon. Not that there's anything wrong with Amazon, my son works there. But I am super excited and can't wait for it to arrive. 🥳
Welcome to all the newbies, and I hope everyone has a great month!3 -

@ashleymullo6195 I agree. Depending on one's height and age, 1200 daily calories can be very hard to adhere to. Do you eat back your exercise calories?1 -

Somtimes I eat back my excersize calories yes but I only excersize like 30 min and only gives me 175 extra calories for that 30 minutes

Getting back in the swing of things. I sort of slept through August. I guess that's why they call it the lazy days of summer. 😂 We should follow Europe and close down for the month and everyone go to the store.
Happy Tuesday!1 -

@rawrxamberx Fall is my favorite season also. Pumpkin spice lattes ☕, cooler temperatures, pumpkin spice lattes, bonfires 🔥, pumpkin spice lattes, cozy sweaters, pumpkin spice lattes 🎃, leaves changing color 🍂🍁, and did I mention pumpkin spice lattes? 😂0 -
An interesting article for those of us who sometimes get caught up in scale fluctuations. And by that I mean ALL OF US, https://physiqonomics.com/the-weird-and-highly-annoying-world-of-scale-weight-and-fluctuations1

LOL!! Fall is my favourite season, too! (I got married in September and my bridesmaids had orange flowers and copper dresses, just like the trees. Okay, it was 30 years ago, so don't judge!!) For me, it is the cooler temperatures and of course the leaves changing colour, and even though nature is preparing to wind down for the winter, it feels like a new beginning to me. I guess it is because lots of things, like school and football and hockey and Girl Guides, or whatever, do begin in the fall, not wind down. Although, Sue, I don't believe I have ever had a pumpkin spice latte, and if I have, I have no real memory of it. So, apparently, I DO need to have one this fall!! Where do you suggest? Or is it something you make at home?1 -

@DaffyGirl88 I read this article, and he is good! And funny! And accurate, which is the most important part. Do you subscribe to his emails? I thought about it when I got to the end.0 -

@kristiekay1962 A pretty good day with some good habits...logging your food, drinking your water, and exercising...that you can build on. And you can catch your weigh-in tomorrow, no worries!0 -
Monday the 30th
I blew it big time today. The first day in three weeks that it was "back to a normal schedule" for me, and I didn't have a firm grasp on what that should look like. So, I reverted to old, bad ways of sitting at my computer too long and eating lots and lots of garbage!
Today is a new day and I will just carry on and leave Monday behind.1 -

Happy Tuesday 🐕😷1 -
@HASWLRS For the PSL they are a Starbuck's original but can now be found anywhere and everywhere. I haven't had one at Tim Horton's yet but you MUST have one by you?? I'll be in Buffalo (again) this weekend so may check his out if you want to wait for my review. LOL
I am not a coffee snob, nor am I one to spend $4-$5 on a cup of coffee, so usually get them at the gas station or make them at home. I buy pounds of pumpkin coffee or k-cups (made by every coffee company) so I have pumpkin coffee all year. I rarely drink non-flavored coffee BTW. I also buy cases of SF Coffeemate PS creamer (that stuff lasts for months as I don't think there's any dairy in it) or I buy SF pumpkin syrup. I've even been known to put pumpkin Bailey's in my coffee (don't judge me). I drink other fall / holiday flavors also like apple crumb cake and gingerbread.
I don't subscribe to his emails. I've found that if I subscribe I get overloaded and never read them so end up unsubscribing anyway. LOL It just struck a chord with me because of what @annabananamc had said and thought some might find it interesting.
Edit: I just reread this and realize that sending you into a donut shop is a dangerous proposition. Try to limit yourself to one or two Timbits. Which also come in pumpkin BTW.1 -
@DaffyGirl88 Thank you for the public service announcement!! Yes, there are three Tim Horton's within the town limits and one just on the edge. Tillsonburg has a population of 16,000 people! I rarely go into a Tim Horton's unless travelling somewhere and the past year and a half has pretty much kiboshed all of that. I don't own a K-cup type of coffee maker, and I ALWAYS drink flavoured coffee as well, Folger's French Vanilla, which we make at home. I will have to look for SF PS coffee creamer, but the selection of that sort of speciality item is significantly lower north of the border. And I would never judge someone for putting Bailey's in their coffee....I pretty much have a bottle sitting beside the coffee maker throughout the holiday season!!2
