Thank you Susan Linda and Barb for your kindness and love and support.
Barb, love the pictures of all your Grandkids, such Beautiful children, as Susan said your heart must be full.
Love your tree too.
Susan, cookies and fudge making sounds so scrumptious, one day I will eat fudge again! And Cookies. Sorry you have to deal with asthma all the time. The people you have on Christmas Day and Boxing Day will so enjoy the sweets you make.
Linda, I so enjoy having candlelight services, our Church does every Christmas Eve service. I participate via watching the service via Live Stream.
I am off to bed now, afternoon appointment at the Cancer Clinic!
Good Night and God Bless you all! 💤😴🙏❤️0 -
It's good to hear from you, Judith. I hope the appointment you have is not another challenging one. If you were here we would try making the fudge so thin you could dissolve it on your tongue, and the cookies might be good for you dunked in milk! They are Snickerdoodles so they would be good that way! Hugs and prayers coming your way.
Linda, I loved the sound of your candle light service. Yes, singing Christmas hymns is so good. The Pastor's wife plays piano, their son plays acoustic guitar, and I play flute. The three of us agree we should schedule Christmas hymns throughout December. I so enjoy practising the hymns at home too and my neighbours seem to love it as well. Glad your daughter is doing so well!
Barb I can only imagine how busy with family ypu might be. Enjoy!
Colin and I are going to prepare food today. It's Christmas Eve here. We want cold meat and salad tomorrow. We lteady have the ham and today we will bake two chickens. I will make big batches of potato salad and green salad. I'll bake cookies. Tomorrow is The big day.
Blessings to you all. Here's one of my cards in a friend's tree for you to enjoy.

Susan so neat that playing the flute helps with your airways. Our daughter, Elisabeth, who lives in Andover, KS plays it too plus I have a sister who plays it too. Prayers for you Susan with the humidity I’m sure it’s will be a long summer for you & us winter. Right now it’s mild here but I know the cold will come.
Merry Christmas Susan.
Linda that is interesting that you had Christmas's Eve today. Ours is early tomorrow. 2:30 & 4. I will attend the 4 as I hope maybe Harry can meet me there. Time will tell
I made short bread & more Christmas crack . I’ll break it up, tomorrow, the Christmas crack.
I just noticed that I am missing an earring. The earring is an angel that I really like & I had it in y ears as I checked it some. Didn’t change my top. Be nice if I found it in the house but probably not. I did take a walk. I’ll call sally beauty they have another one?
Our daughter only came for one night & maybe our son may do that too though they are having some car problems.
Oh Hong Hong has a sore throat. I’ll put it on prayer chain.
Praying for you Judith.
Merry Christmas all.

Barb - I am sorry that the cold virus is traveling through the family. Babies usually have some immunity to these virus from their mother's milk so I pray that if she does have more symptoms than just the stuffies, that it does not stay long. Being a baby and not understanding why you can not breathe is hard on them. I am sorry that you lost your angel earring. I have lost several and gave up after looking everywhere I could think about. We have carpet in the bedrooms that is thick and it is so easy to loose an earing or a back of an earring and never find it again in the dept of the carpet fibers.
Susan - Merry Christmas to you as you celebrate early. Cold meat and salad sounds delicious to celebrate with. We bought a turkey that was on sale that is 25# for Christmas. I am hoping to have lots of meat left over to freeze for my daughter to use after we leave. Turkey is not my favorite but once ready to get into the oven, it gives more time to work on the rest of the meal. I will be making some things tomorrow like the cherry pie. When we had it for family for Christmas, I did not get a piece because it was so popular. Next time I will make two when the family comes.
Judith I prayed for your doctor appointment this afternoon. Susan's suggestion of thinning the fudge texture so you can drink it was interesting. Maybe it would work but it might taste like chocolate milk in the end.
It was a dreary day with hardly any sky showing through the clouds. Even though is may be a little warm during the day, when the sun goes down, it really starts to feel cold. It is 40F (4.44C) now and will get to a low of 28F (-2.2C) later tonight. We were out a little bit today but mostly I worked on school stuff attached to the audit we are doing. I have found a few missing items that were only downloaded into the old program but not into the most recent program so that is good I can complete those files. It gives me a sense of accomplishment to be able to find things and correct them - like a detective looking for clues. My daughter is feeling more pain today - which I have felt with my surgeries that this is normal. The first few days, the anesthesia is wearing off as well as the pain medication they inject into the wound during surgery. Now she can think better and is more mobile and her body is saying "What happened? I have been traumatized!" She took a shower today and that is about all she wanted to accomplish. It really tired her out. She also took a nice nap which she really needed.1 -
Merry Christmas all.
I agree with you Linda sing the Christmas hymns, carols that we sang for years, so our kids learn them. The other song sing rest of time though I prefer only one song per service. I meant to add this yesterday when I posted.
I know about mother’s milk but they give Annabella a bottle after each feeding. Pediatricians like fat babies, so encourage both. Crazy I think. They say HH no take enough milk so I know not to bring it up.
I always feel like day after surgery more pain as the anesthesia is wearing off so very true Linda.
Prayers for healing.
Prayers for all. Have a safe & Merry Christmas.
Praying for you Judith.
Enjoy your family all.1 -
Merry Christmas all, and thank you for your friendship and prayers throughout this year. It means more than you know to me.
Barb, praying for your family. What a time for a cold virus.
Linda, I was hoping Judith could slice the fudge wafer thin so it would dissolve without being chewed! Otherwise yes, it would become chocolate milk! Lol!1 -
Merry Christmas all.
Stay well & safe.
Prayers.1 -
Barb - I hope those who do not have the cold are wearing masks and washing their hands frequently when they are in contact with the sick ones. That helps a lot to keep the virus away. Praying for the whole family to as healthy holiday as possible and the others are protected - including you and Harry.
Susan - Praying that you had a wonderful Christmas celebration with family. Ours is coming tomorrow! Slicing the fudge for Judith makes more sense now that you explained it.
Judith - Praying that you also have a blessed Christmas with family.
I have the cherry pie baked and the turkey has been thawing for 5 days so I hope tomorrow it can go directly into the baking bag and into the oven without having to thaw it more in the morning. We watched the movie "The Star" which is a tradition. I really like that movie.1 -
Merry Christmas to All my Friends
May the Lord Bless you and fill you with His Love Peace Grace and His Abundant Blessings!
God Is Hope Faith, Joy and Love!
He is Immanuel, God With Us!
May you all have a Blessed Christmas with your Families and those you Hold Close to your Heart!
Luke 2:11 KJV
For Unto you is Born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.0 -
All the presents and stockings are opened, trash is in the garage, turkey is in the oven and three of the four of us are taking a nap. It is a quiet time right now with a little rain outside. I doubt that it will amount to much . My mother used to quote an old Indian saying - "little rain - big rain: big rain - little rain". (translation to those who do not understand my mother's quote - if it rains small rain drops (little rain), it will rain for a long time (big rain). If it is heavy rain (big rain) - it will not rain much (little rain). I have seen that quote prove false many times so I do not really trust it. She also said the same saying about snow.
We have decided to stay here in Westminster for another week to help our daughter. She had not been able to drive yet and our granddaughter needs a ride to her job on the weekend. She is having more pain as she had gotten more active but does not like to take pain pills. She says it makes her head "foggy" and very sleepy. If she should start to feel better and can be more independent, we could leave earlier if we can to go back to Grand Junction.
Judith - thanks for the Christmas greetings and quoting the real reason for the season. I am sad that commercialism has taken over many people's hearts during this time that we joyfully worship the baby in the manger who gave us the greatest gift of all.

Merry Christmas Day to you all! Ours was full of friends, family and food. We had a nice time with Lyn and Greg. There were 10 of us for lunch. Then at dinner time we had Shaun's family here. We took Inara around the Village in the Golf cart to see the lights again.
Today Joe and Eileen are going to let Colin pick them up to bring them over for lunch. We may end up eating on the lounge as it will be more comfortable for Joe than our dining room chairs.
Thinking of you all as you spend time with loved ones, remembering Christ's birth and how he spent His life to reconcile us to Him.1 -
Merry Christmas to all So glad God sent His son for us to be saved & have eternal life. ✝️
I gave son, Harry 3, some homemade treats. I need to make some oatmeal with craisins & white chocolate cookies, as they took them all.
I am out of the white chocolate so I’ll get that at Walmart.
Our grandsons got new beds as they will have a new brother in April. Tim our son in law made its out has light & he will make it easy to get up & down. Nice he is handy. He talked about making floating shelves too.
Hope all had a nice day. Cloudy & foggy here.
We didn’t see our grand daughters all sleeping so in & out of house. I made dishcloths for Yan Yan, sister, & Amy.
Prayers for all especially Judith.1 -
That sounds good, Barb. I wound up giving cookies and fudge to everyone too. Glad Tim is so handy and how lovely about another new baby coming. I hope HH's family is doing better. If the girls are sleeping, that's a good way for them to heal!
Having our friends here for lunch yesterday was nice. I am hoping today will be more of a rest day. It's been so busy this last week!1 -
Today was a quiet day with one trip made to the store to get some things we had forgotten. My daughter and granddaughter are watching movies today and it is not a subject that I like so I am upstairs on the computer or downstairs doing laundry. I will be getting with a friend tomorrow for coffee (tea for me) to catch up. We had talked about doing it at Thanksgiving but I was still recovering and moving slowly so that did not happen. We did have rain for most of the evening last night and a little this morning. It has been cloudy most of the day and the temperatures have been cold and windy. WE will be going back to Grand Junction on the 1st. I told Glenn that I hope that those who were drinking too much during the New Year are still not on the road as we drive. He said they will mostly be sleeping so we do not need to worry. I am glad that we do not go out in the evening and after midnight but stay at home and watch the festivities with sparking juice.
Barb - continues prayers for Hong Hong and Annabelle as well as the others visiting. As Susan said, I am glad that Hong Hong is able to at least take naps to keep up her strength. With delicious cookies and snacks it is easy to understand why they are all gone already. I do like white chocolate cookies but try to stay away from desserts on the holidays. I can not have regular chocolate due to allergies but white chocolate works for me. We did have sugar free cherry pie for Christmas so we have that to eat tonight.
Susan - I do hope that you can get some rest after all the activities of the past week. As I get older, I have less energy to entertain many people. Getting coffee with a friend does work well and lets me relax that I do not have to have my house in perfect order for them.
Judith - I hope you are also able to have a quiet day and rest.
Praying for you all!

God’s richest Blessings upon you all, Christmas Day was a day for me reflecting on Jesus, Jesus is the Reason for the Season, He is Immanuel, God With Us. I was with my family in Maple Ridge for the whole day. We had a blessed time. My family made sure I had everything I needed nutritionally and really spoiled me. It was good being with grandchildren. We exchanged our gifts had a wonderful Christmas Dinner. I had a very quiet day, travelling to daughters and travelling back took longer due to the heavy rain.
Barb, praying for all your family to Get Well Soon, so glad HH can get naps and the family are sleeping, this is good.
Linda, hope your daughter starts to heal and recover soon, so nice you can be with her to help and give rides to your granddaughter to work on weekend.
Susan, sounds like you have had a busy Christmas Day and week with Church and family dinners. So happy you could get together with Joe and Eileen and have them over to share a meal.
So happy you all had a Blessed Christmas. Blessings on your night and day tomorrow. ❤️😊0 -
I pray that everyone had an enjoyable Christmas remembering the reason for the season.
We had a quite one which was nice - every year we downsize somewhat to get away from all the commerializm of it and just take lots of time to reflect that we are remembering Christ coming to earth as a baby to eventually die for our sins.
It is trying to snow - we havent had any and have not had the rain the Judith has had but it is cold so I think we will be getting our cold and snowy part of the season very soon.
Am doing well with my eating. Have lost 15 pounds since end of September with the changes I have made so feeling good about that. I have now gone down one size in pants which is nice.
Here are some Scriptures that we read yesterday
Matthew 6:7
And when you pray do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do,for they think that they will be heard for their many words. No not be like them, for your Father know what you need before you ask him.
Matthew 6:33
But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be added to you.

Judith, it's good to hear about your family Christmas and how they took care of you. Sorry to hear the rain was so heavy. Has it stopped raining yet? Yes, it was good to celebrate Christmas with family and friends and to think about Jesus' life. Bless you.
Linda, safe travels on the 1st. I would want to go home too. I agree, entertaining people at home is fun but tiring! I like to go out with them for the same reasons as you but it does get expensive. How much is a coffee where ypu are? Ours are now around $7 apiece (no bottomless coffee here) and most snack-y things are around $10 apiece. Meals are around $30 without coffee. So for two of us to have coffee and lunch it is around $75!!
Barb, thinking of you and your family. I hope the colds have not gotten worse.1 -
We had snow on the ground this morning when I got up but only on the grass. It was gone quickly when the sun came out. The weather was two days late in giving up some snow on Christmas. Today I went out with a friend for coffee. She is very social and loves to get out but she also likes to help people who are very needy. She said getting with me was so nice to be able to just talk and not be expected to do something.
Susan - I looked up the prices for you and a regular black grande coffee is $4.65 or if you want Judith's special latte it is $6.65. My spiced cinnamon tea was $3.25 for a small cup. If we were to go out to lunch at our favorite Mexican restaurant it would cost between $17.75 for a Mexican stir fry up to $27.80 for steak and shrimp meal with no drinks. I usually eat half the meal and take the other half home to eat for dinner that evening. It is expensive to go out to eat but it sounds like your meals are more expensive. Do you pay a tip with the meals? I know some countries do not require a tip.
Judith - I am glad that you had a good Christmas and that they provided a nutritious meal for you and spoiled you too. I assume that you were very tired after being out all day. I hope you do not have any medical appointments coming up next so you can have a calm week. I do remember that you were going to have a consult about laser treatment in January. I an excited about the possibility.
Barb - I am praying that you do not get the cold and that the others are improving. Is the baby continuing to gain weight and Hong Hong getting the rest she needs? I am sure she will miss having her mother there as well as the other relatives.
Marilyn - It is great to hear from you. You said that you had an appointment with the kidney on the 19th I believe. What were your numbers for kidney function. It would be wonderful if the numbers went up this month!

Linda
So you must be where the sun is. We haven’t seen it since Sunday. Though I did see it for a few minutes this evening near sunset. My sisters in PA, Ri, & Victoria have not seen it either.
We hope to see the grand girls tomorrow I believe they are all getting better so we will try. Probably before their lunch.
I stopped today & HH plus Annabella we’re sleeping. I’m glad HH is getting her naps she needs it. I know that her c section pain was hurting & she needed to get more meds for that. So hopefully that is healing too.
Judith so glad that you had a great with lots of care with your family on Christmas. You need that maybe every day!
Marilyn so glad for your weight lost. It’s hard and hope it will continue for you. 🙏🏻. Thank you for your verses too!
I usually just have water at our meals and I don’t drink coffee. Harry is the coffee drinker water & coffee. I drink tea.
When we eat out it’s about $30-40 depending on what we have. Today for lunch & I had the special for lunch and so my meal was only $8. We also, leave a tip too. Then USA kind of leaves tips.
Coffee is $ 11.88 Folgers at Walmart. At restaurants it’s $3-4. Harry doesn’t like the fancy coffees. Sorry so, probably not much help.1 -
It is usual that meals out are chePerin the US, I know. Going out to dinner would probably cost us $100+, so we don't do lunch or dinner out often. There's no need to tip as servers are paid award wages. We still do tip sometimes if the service has been exceptional, but it isn't required.
We had quite a storm last night with lightning, thunder and heavy rain. More rain is predicted for the week.
Must rush as church starts soon and I still need to shower snd dress.0 -
Here is Grandpa & Grammie with Annabella, she is 3 weeks old now.
She has good color. Mommy feeds her & then she gets a bottle.
Have a good Sunday the Lord’s day!1 -
Barb - you are so blessed to have Annabella! Children are a gift from God and you have another one to add to your list of blessings soon. Yes, we have had some sun during the day but the majority of the time the last few days are a bit more gray sky. Today I wish we had had some clouds because as we were driving to visit my friend in assisted living, I could hardly see for the brightness of the sun. The visor did not help because the sun was lower in the sky. I had to hold my hand up to block it out for a little bit.
Susan - were you speaking of US dollars or Australian dollars when you were quoting the prices for coffee and lunch. I was looking for the conversion of the two dollars and if changed from Australian to US, it is not as much a difference. We went out to dinner tonight and we spent $46 dollars before tips.
We had a good time this afternoon on our "date". We went to St. Nick's store looking for a crocheted angel to put on our Christmas tree. We have one for our Westminster tree but not for the one in Grand Junction. If I knew how to crochet it would probably not be too hard but alas, my skills were limited to granny squares when I was in high school. It is a store that had everything (except what I wanted) for Christmas including huge artificial trees that cost over $1200 dollars. Most everything was 50% off. Tomorrow they are closing until March when they will reopen with St Patrick's day and Easter decorations. I believe that they also keep some Christmas decorations all year long. After we did that we went to see my friend who recently moved to assisted living. She is a bit confused with her dementia as well as just being in a strange place. She recognized us but although she has been in the facility for two weeks, she said she thought she had just moved today. She has her cat with her with keeps her busy and there are activities that are included in her stay. She has probably been attending them but just does not remember. When we finished we went to dinner at Macaroni Grill and had frozen yogurt for dessert. Now I have clothes to fold and dishes to wash before I go to bed.

Thank you all, my Christmas was beautiful, good being with family. I have had friends drop by 2 people at a time wearing masks and being careful. I admit with being with Family On Christmas Day and Friends dropping by in between it has so wiped me out but it’s good to be with everyone. God has blessed me so. That is why I have missed couple of days here. My next appointments are in January on the 9th, 14th, 16th and 22nd. That’s for Starters as I am still waiting on the Head and Neck oncology Surgeon who will see me regarding the lump over Lymph Node. Will keep you posted.
Barb, you and Harry are such proud Grandparents, love the photo of Annabella with Harry! So glad she is doing well with Mothers Milk and a Bottle, is the bottle filled with a special formula? Hard to believe she is 3 weeks old.
Susan, I hear you with expensive meals with eating out. It’s expensive here too. Doesn’t matter where you go it’s pricey. Hope you have a Blessed Lords Day and enjoy your services. Hope you don’t get any further storms. Be safe my friend.
Linda, sorry to hear about your friend who is in assisted living, glad she can have her Kitty with her.dementia is such a difficult disease, it’s sad to see what it does to a person’s life. My dear Grandmother had it and she hardly recognized anyone in later years. Sorry you were not able to find a crocheted Angel. I used to love going into Christmas Stores and antique ones too! Frozen yogurt was always my favorite. What kind did you have? Macaroni Grill sounds interesting; would be interested to hear what you ordered.
Have a Blessed Lord’s Day! God Bless you all! ❤️🙏😊⛪️📖0 -
2nd time went to look something up& my note disappeared. 😫
Linda.
I have made crocheted angels way back when my kids were little. I even have made several crocheted angels for my son’s trees plus ours. You use cotton thread, that Hobby Lobby, I think WAL-MART has it too with a small crocheted hook maybe a #10? Not sure I can make one now.
In fact I am thinking of getting large print Bible study Bible. I have used KJV, Scofield, for years since my college days. It’s old so my notes are fading & bleeding. It took some time but this church uses other versions & I believe the 2 pastors use ESV. I like to read the Bible through in a year using different versions. I have a student study ESV but the notes are hard to read. So maybe that is what I should use. I know a lot of the people use NIV but I have been using my ESV & like to, read the notes better.
Any ideas?
Thank your Judith for giving us your dates. Prayers.
Our son, James will be coming up Friday- Saturday this week. Their car engine will be fixed. Hoping it will be done to,use.
They live in Branson, MO, this way they can see their new niece & cousin.
Have a good week.
We did eat at Fazzolio’s, (Italian), yesterday for under & 20. No drinks as ate at home. Harry for some reason got a child’s meal.
Prayers for all.1 -
Aww, Barb, I love the looks on your faces with Annabella! Such a precious photo. Our Pastor uses a Thompson KJV study Bible. I always use KJV.
Linda, your prices for dinner are like our lunch prices. Dinner usually costs around $AUD100/$USD62. Coffee prices are similar though.
Judith, glad you have a little break with your medical appointments but they sound like they will be pretty regular again after the New Year. It would have been so nice to spend time with family and friends, but I get it was also exhausting. You take care!
Colin is having problems regulating his blood sugars with his new insulin pump. He ralded the church milk snd cookies supply twice yesterday then had more lows at home. He has gone to the Diabetes Clinic this morning so hopefully they will change his insulin to carb ratio a bit.0 -
Susan - thanks for explaining the difference in the AUD and USD. I am sorry that Colin is having problems with his insulin pump. I was talking to a friend a few days ago and her husband is having the same problem. His blood sugars drop to 50 and below but it is usually during the night and it does not go up for a while even if she gives him candy or even honey. I don't know if it is a new pump for him. She is a pharmacist and says it is pretty scary even if she does know what to do for him. I hope the Diabetes Clinic can help Colin so his blood sugars are more stable.
Judith - you asked what I got to eat at Macaroni Grill. I stay away from pasta so I got grilled chicken Caprese salad. When I put it in MFP foods, it said it was 500 calories but I really have my doubts as to this being true. It was a very small salad but maybe the mozzarella cheese had lots of dense calories. We had strawberry sugar free frozen yogurt after that. Thanks for giving us your medical appointments for next month. We will be praying for good information from them.
Barb - Thanks for the information about the Christmas angel and what it takes to crochet it. I don't know if I could see well enough to use that thin thread or if I remember the stitches it has been so long. A large print Bible is very helpful to be able to study without straining my eyes. As for the best version to use, my husband says he likes the NIV, New Living Bible and ESV but also likes the NASB which is more literal from the original language. but it may be harder to read. He does not have an opinion on study Bibles because he likes to do his own study in the Greek and Hebrew.
The weather report for tomorrow is very high winds up to 75 MPH and a high fire danger especially in the mountains. I am glad that we are not going home tomorrow. As it is now, we will go Grand Junction on New Years Day depending on the weather. I have several projects I still need to do here. I was going to do some today but I did not sleep well last night and when I got home from church I took a nap - which is very unusual for me. I do feel better now with a few more hours of sleep.0 -
Barb, to answer your question on Bible Translations; I have both NKJV and KJV they are my regular Translations I use. Really don’t like the NIV but have used it on occasion as a cross reference translation when Ladies are having trouble interpreting the scripture verse, When I teach Bible I use NKJV mainly as Ladies understand it better with the Thee’s and Thou’s taken out! I also use ESV which my Pastor uses when not in the KJV. I too have the Schofield Study Bible. Large Print with Red Letter. That is the only Large Print Bible I have. I like to do my own research and background for my studies so don’t rely on Study Bibles. I have all my Bible College Books that are good reference tools for research. That is so frustrating when you lose messages you are in the process of posting. My Bibles are old too one in particular as the highlight and underlining ink is starting to run into each other and some places the print has faded. I hope you find the right translation, take your time read different translations and pray about it and I am sure you will know what is a good fit for you.
Linda, your Chicken salad sounds so scrumptious and the strawberry frozen yogurt. Yum yum! 😋Thank you for your prayers over all my appointments that are coming up in January. The New Year is coming up so fast!
Susan, sorry to hear about Colin is having issues with his blood sugars, I am sure the Diabetes Clinic can help him with it so he can get it regulated as it does sound like he needs his insulin adjusted. Been thinking about your Pastor Friend and his wife; how is he doing this past week, I realize he is terminal and don’t like to ask but wanted to know how I can pray for his wife!
Hope you all have been able to read the Thread Bible Reading and Commentary Thoughts, so happy I have been able to post the Bible Lesson the last few days.
Have a Blessed evening and sleep well tonight!
Lord willing I will be back again tomorrow and hopefully as early as I was today! 🙏🤗❤️0 -
Prayers for Colin. So he is having problems working it. Prayers he can figure it out or get the help he needs. Wisdom I guess we need to pray for. 🙏🏻
Thank you for all the study Bible helps. I’m kind of leaning toward ESV study Bible. As that is what the pastors use at my church.
Just found out our son in Branson will come up Friday & go back on Saturday. Open some gifts & see new niece, cousin. It’s to be very cold. We had temps in the 50’s. So back to normal in the 30’s as high but weekend below normal. So it will be. Cold. Yet they are from Laramie, WY so might not be bothered by it.
I’m trying to figure out a meal for Friday meal. Harry came home with a spiral ham which I am thinking to, use but what with?. I really don’t want all the mess of a full lots of servings meal, so maybe ham & potato? Only 2 dishes to clean up. I am the dishwasher.
Prayers for,all.1 -
I have never heard of spiral ham so had to look it up! Interesting. Barb, thanks for asking about Colin. Every two years or so, his body changes in relation to how it reacts to insulin and his treatment has to change a little. It takes the help of a Diabetes Educator and Clinician to work with his ratios and how his body responds. It just so happens his body is changing right when he received the new insulin pump, so we have an adjustment period. About the Thompson Study Bible, it is a cross reference Bible that shows where similar ideas are raised in the Bible itself. It isn't a commentary. It's a centre column cross reference Bible. It can take you on some interesting journeys through the Bible, that's for sure!
Linda, that's exactly what we are finding. Colin's blood sugar readings are not reacting to carbs the way they used to. He has measured dose sugar tablets called Glucogon and they seem to work better than candy or honey, but they still cause a quick blood sugar spike then a crash. It's a dangerous see saw.
Judith, Joe and Eileen are doing a little better. Joe has had a fall and hit his head and got concussion but he followed Drs orders to rest and recover. He played harmonica for a little while at church on Sunday! Eileen is as cheerful as ever, as is Joe. Their mantra is 'Perhaps today!' Jesus will return. Eileen has cancer herself but it isn't as dangerous as Joe's so far. She has become Joe's carer as he needs help getting up out of bed or from chairs, bathing, dressing etc. They are both around 85 years old but she acts like she is 60. They leave themselves in the Lord's hands, asking that His will be done.
We have Shaun and Inara arriving any minute so I must go. Take care, all of you.1 -
Susan. Enjoy the family time. Family time is so good. I am assuming that Shaun & Inara are grandkids. Enjoy.
I will have some this weekend.
Spiral hams are the cheaper version of Honey Baked Hams. I’ll send pic. The grocery stores have their own too. They are good.
Plus already cut so that makes it nice too.
So glad Joe & Eileen are doing better.
Continue prayers plus for Colin. I hope you can figure out works for him. Wisdom in the prayers too
Linda. Prayers for your drs appointments Thant come up in January.
Judith prayers for your drs too.
We will b e going into winter temps. We’ve been above normal for some time. Soon to be normal then this weekend, then we go below normal, and our son may have to deal, with mixed snow & rain on Saturday. So a mixture.
I checked & Branson will be above freezing so that is good.
Prayers for all.
Happy New Year!!🎆🎊🎈0
