If there is a storm, I will also be paild with the rough seas also. I will be laying on my bed with a "plaid" blanket wrapped around me. (I know I did not change letters but it was the best I could do.)
PLAID1 -
Good Job Linda, I love Plaid blankets and yes Susan the rough seas will make us paild so Linda’s plaid blanket will be just right for us wrapped around our bodies. So we are off and ready! However with the storm and the rain waters filling up our boat we will be bailing out PAILS of water, maybe that isn’t such a good idea, we need to move our travels inland away from stormy seas. But we still need to get there so hope you have your Pails ready!
PAILS0 -
My pails are ready for when I am feeling less seasick. Right now the "pales" of Susan and my faces limit what we can do.
PALES1 -
Oh, look, Judith LEAPT to our defence with some seasickness tablets, Linda!
LEAPT1 -
Sure enough she came to our rescue. I will tell her thank-you "later" when I am out of my bed with the plaid blanket wrapped around me.
LATER1 -
Thank you Linda, glad that I leapt to the rescue Susan; hope you feel better Linda, glad you have the warm plaid blanket to keep you warm: so knowing Linda is some under the weather we will need to step up to the plate and CATER to Linda with helping in anyway we can!
CATER0 -
That is wonderful that you can cater to me while I am so seasick. 🤢 Just a sip of "water" would be great now if someone could bring it to me. No ice please. 😊1
-
Your needs are so simple, Linda, it is a pleasure to cater to them. One glass of water, no ice, coming right up. Be sure mot to waste a drop!
WASTE
1 -
Yes not a problem Linda, glass of cool water coming up and I will be careful not to waste a drop! Maybe I can paste the cup to the tray until I get to Linda then remove carefully wiping bottom of glass before handing to Linda!
PASTE0 -
So as we cater to Linda’s needs with bringing her a nice tall glass of water we will keep her stocked up with water! We will be sure it is fresh water so she is not drinking STALE water!
STALE
0 -
Did you pay for the water? I do not want you to get into trouble catering to me with your fresh water pasted to the tray so we do not waste it. I will pay for it if you did not so they do not think you "stole" it.
STOLE1 -
I am sure Judith snd I would pay for the water for you, Linda, or it would only be an oversight if we did not! We never want to hear the bells of justice tolling for any of us. That reminds me of something to ask you. Remember the book, "For whom the bell tolls"?
TOLLS1 -
Yes I know that book. It "tells" the story about the Spanish Civil War in the 1920's.
TELLS1 -
Ok sounds good we will need to hang onto both water and book as we don’t want to see it FALLS to ground!
FALLS0 -
I like the idea that we take our book with us and keep it safe. Can we stop and read it for a break? If there is a falls near, it "calls" to me to stop and enjoy the shade and babble of the water.
CALLS1 -
A waterfall would have the same effect on me. When it calls us to pause and read, sll the cells in my body would be happy about that.
CELLS1 -
Yes I agree I feel tears that "wells" up in my eyes thinking about it.
WELLS1 -
Yes as we pause and read a while it would brings tears to my eyes just thinking about how peaceful that would be for us!
However as we pause and reflect about our day we need to be mindful that the night skies falls upon us and we can’t continue to read with no daylight!
FALLS0 -
As night falls, to keep the tears from welling in our eyes, so we can continue to read, I happen to have a camping light in my back pocket! It will provide light and safety for us like the walls of a tent would, as the critters don't like well-lit places, right?
WALLS1 -
That is true that nighttime critters do not like light. Susan, you must have a large back pocket to keep a camping light in it! We can use the light as we walk to the water "wells" to get water for some nice hot chamomile tea to help us sleep.
WELLS1 -
Lol, Linda! It's a magic pocket of course. It doesn't make me look fat at all to carry anything I like in there. 🤣 Hot chamomile tea sounds lovely, especially if made from fresh wells of water. Thank you. Do you know someone who sells tea bags or leaves?
SELLS1 -
My neighbor "tells" me she knows of someone who sells the tea by the pound so it is cheaper. I will ask her the name of the grower so we can get some.
TELLS1 -
Yes so true Susan about critters and bugs we sure will be happy to have your light while we read inside the tent. And yes the tea sounds so soothing, great your neighbour lady knows someone that Sells loose tea which is cheaper to buy than tea bags.
So all we need to do is wait to see what she finds out for us. Hope she STEPS up the process to get the tea for us!
STEPS0 -
Yes, she has the tea for us and is on her way but she has to make a few "stops" to deliver to others before she can get to us. In the meantime, I really need to finish my book to see the ending. It is spellbinding.
STOPS1 -
Good idea Linda, and thanks, yes I love books that keep us drawn to the end to see the punch line! So that is what we will do is bring our books keep reading until we get our delivery of tea. However, while waiting I will bring tea lattes from Starbucks for us to sip on as we read our books.
Hope your friend POSTS all the stops she delivers so we can be ready for her when she is near where we are!
POSTS0 -
The delivery lady is known for her kindness. She employs people who are coming out of prison. She does not care about their "pasts" only that they want to work and are reliable.
PASTS1 -
How wonderful to know someone like the tea lady is so kind to people coming out of prison. Perhaps she will stay and tell us the story of how her tea business all came about. If she wants us to help advertise her business, we can offer to do some social media posts for her?
POSTS1 -
Linda, that is so nice of the Tea Lady to employ people coming out of prison, such kindness giving these folks a chance at life.
Susan I like your idea, I would love to hear the tea lady story in how her business began, and for us to help get the word out on Social Media! Great idea and plan!
So let’s start a website and put out the STEPS and get people onboard to help spread the word around, this is exciting!
STEPS0 -
Who is good at making a website? That is not my talent. How nice it would be to help this lady become famous. And to think it just "stems" from us wanting some tea leaves in our cozy tent reading books using Susan's bright camping light from her back pocket.
STEMS1 -
I agree, this story is taking us on some interesting twists and turns, Linda! As it happens, I can start a website for us. I already have a Craft website I developed and have run since 2006. We will probably be able to use WordPress or Blogger to create a simple site. All we will need is a unique domain name and around $100 to buy the domain name and a couple of derivatives. Then we can interview your friend and start writing copy for website pages. Maybe the Tea Lady will have some good photos we can use, too! I hope this meets with your approval? We will just need some money to buy a domain name...
