HOW IT ALL WORKS:
Every challenger weighs in on their chosen day, every week without fail! At the end of each week, the tallies are done to determine the team and individuals with the most weight lost. The best losers are announced with full fanfare every Sunday. The team competition is all in good spirits - may the most losing win!

We also track those small, steady losses with the Green Week count. If you lose, however small an amount, it counts for 1 week in the green. At the end of the month, we celebrate everyone who lost every week. You are heading steadily towards your goal even if you aren't at the top of the weight loss leaderboard!

To make your weigh-in easy to find for your team Captains, please put it right at the top of a message, and use this format:

Username
Weigh In Day:
PW (Previous Weight):
CW (Current Weight):

If you miss two weigh-ins in a row without asking for a break, you will be dropped from the team, so be sure to inform your team captain if you are traveling, sick, or just need some time off. If you take a break, you are moved to the Support Team. You can remain on the Support Team for as long as you need to. You still participate in the discussions, you can weigh in if you want to, but it will not count in the weekly tally.

Once you reach your goal weight, you join the Goal Zone! You continue to weigh in every week. If you have 2 weeks above your self-defined goal zone, you go back to the regular team to lose that amount before it builds up. You will have a chance to hone those maintenance skills and stick with your team!

In addition to your own team, there are weekly F2F Full Group CHALLENGES. You can do all or none - it's up to you. Participating adds a lot to your success, so we hope to see you there often! These can involve anything fitness, health, or nutrition - and they’ll get you moving, thinking, and learning about this journey. Check the Announcements section for full group challenges.

Let’s show our fellow challengers some F2F love! Introduce yourselves right away, and let the new month begin!!

Sunday starts Week 2...what is your plan for Week 2?

    FAQ for New Members

How do I post my weigh in?

    Userid
    (Day of Week) Weigh-in
    PW: 204 lbs (previous weight)
    CW: 202 lbs (current weight)
LTD: 12 lbs (optional loss to date)

How often should I post in the chatroom?

Whenever you have a question, suggestion, story, news announcement or just want to brighten someone's day!! There's never too much...and please share recipes, tips, laughs, challenges, cartoons, pictures of your pets, pictures from walks you've taken, etc...we love it all!!

What if I have to be out of town during my weigh in?

Send a message to the Captain (Jessica) in the chatroom or in a private message on MFP's mail and let her know your circumstance...if it's just for a week or two, you can be excused from the weigh-in. If you must leave for longer than a month, you may be moved to our support team until you return. When you're ready to come back, send another message and the MODS will move you back to active status.

What happens if I miss a weigh in?

If you're late, you'll be marked as LWI (late weigh in). If you fail to report in at all, you'll be labeled as NWI (no weigh in). After two NWIs, you're put on the drop list if you explanation has been provided. It's always best to let your Captain know what's going on and she'll make sure you're covered.

How do I sign up for the Step Challenge?

Send the Captain a message that you'd like to join, provide your daily step goal and tell her your favorite place to walk. It's that simple!

Do I have to re-register each month to remain part of Team TrimStones?

No, your membership will carry over month to month. The only place where this is NOT true is for the Step Challenge. You have to sign up each month to participate in it and this gives you the opportunity to adjust your daily step goal.

If I've missed anything or questions arise, just post them! We'll find the information you need as much as possible! Hope this helps!

    Welcome!

    Weigh in Saturday
    PW 232.5
    CW 237.5

I posted this in September’s chat as well.
I’m pretty sure this is mostly water weight still. The 3 hour time difference from Vegas to home is killing me this time. Sooooo tired

My goals for this month are to be in the 220’s and to really focus on exercise. I let it slip over the summer and spent last month getting my diet in check. I find if I focus heavily on both at the same time I fail. I’ve worked hard on not binge eating over the past few months, and really cracked down on the emotional reasons during September. I still have more emotions and feeling to deal with then I’d like, but it’s getting better. I’m coping better I think, I hope.
    So on to October

Sorry I've been MIA but I've been SLAMMED at work. I'm mighty proud of my loss though!!
I've been seeing a bariatric team. Can't have any surgery yet but they are working with me so the loss has been all me. I started seeing the NP & dietitian 8/31. Went back for my follow up on 9/30 and had lost 12.4lbs (from 292.8 to 280.4). That means I've loss even more!! I'm SUPER excited about the path I've started down.
Who knows, but the time I'm eligible for surgery I may not even need it!

I'd give yourself a year to do it without surgery. Not just to save on the cost and recovery time, but the things you have to give up and the way you have to eat is really hard.

I have three very good friends who have had bariatric surgery. One had the more traditional surgery and two had lap bands. All of them have had complications, the one who was most successful is very athletic and has had problems maintaining blood sugar for her hikes and workouts. The other two have more mental reasons behind why they struggle with weight loss. One regained everything that she lost plus an additional 100 lbs. The other one has successfully lost a lot of weight, but continuously yoyos up and down. She is still conflicted about getting it because on one hand it did help her lose a lot of weight, but on the other she is sick of all of the side effects and feels like she can't go out to eat or drink with friends anymore, she feels very self conscious.

I was morbidly obese end of January of this year, I've lost 71 lbs following a medically assisted weight loss plan. I've now switched to just buying meals through Trifecta until I lose my last 30 lbs. I was also looking at bariatric surgery and wanted to try dialectal behavior therapy first. It has helped me a lot, especially with recognizing and redirecting the trigger emotions that lead to me binge eating. I'm not there yet but made a lot of progress. I've still got 4 months to the 1 year mark.

Lacey 12 consecutive months of medical weight mgmt is required before my insurance will pay anyway so that's what I'm doing now. I had my 3rd visit. So far what I'm doing seems to be working so I'm gonna stay the course.

My BMI has decreased from 48 to 46.6 in a month so like I said I may not even be eligible by the time I complete 12 months since you have to be a certain BMI.

Whether I'm eligible or not by that point it'll still be a win for me cause my ultimate goal is to lose & get healthy. I may not be at my goal weight by then but that's ok too, I'm headed in that direction.

Good morning team. It's Sunday here which means the start of a new challenge month. Welcome to all the new members and good luck with your goals everyone!

Short introduction: My name is Laura and I live in a small town with my cat. I have a very pretty national park nearby where I like to walk, though lately this has gotten a bit harder to do because I go to the gym 3 times a week. I have chronic fatigue so I need to spread out my energy a bit. Sometimes it's easier to do a workout at home for which I like to use the Dance with Deepti channel on youtube. I like reading, singing, photography, jigsaw puzzles, gaming and drinking tea with my cat on my lap (yay October!).

This will be my 3rd month in the group and I am still very happy to have found it.

    October goals
    • Keep working on that protein! (70 minimum, 90 for gym days)
    • Remember my vitamins
    • Daily steps over 8.500
    • Knee push-ups! 3 sets of 10 a day (work towards normal ones)
    • Goal weight = 201 lbs (Current weight: 205.5 / Highest weight: 247)

    Happy October Everyone,
My name is Tammy, and I live in Alberta, Canada. I’ve been part of this group since the spring and have really enjoyed and benefitted from the support everyone gives each other. I’ve been struggling to stay the course, but find that I can usually get back with it after a bad week by reading everyone’s comments and realizing I’m not alone.
Rejoining the step challenge this month, so I need to go find my Fitbit and get started lol.
Last week my Captain’s Challenge goal was to track everything I ate. Started strong, but ended weak. Ugh!
This week I’m going to focus on getting steps in. Now that the gorgeous fall weather is here, I need to take advantage and walk, walk, walk. Winter in Alberta can hit anytime, so now’s the time to get out there before the snow falls.

    CAPTAIN'S CHALLENGE, WEEK 2

    o7atsk7horf7.png

Last week, I chose to work on weighing in...handling that scale. This week, I'm looking at CALORIE CONTROL. Everyone's journey is different, therefore everyone's choices are different. I need to control my calories, not binge, and balance out some nutrients...gotta have enough protein for strength...enough fruits/veggies to make sure the gut works properly...so that's my week.

How does your shape up? Which area will you tackle? Please chime in and let us know...what will be the hard parts of it? What comes easy to you in the area you've chosen.

No matter which area you've chosen to focus on, you CAN do this. You're stronger than you know and you are in control. Lay out your plan and then work it...science handles the rest. I wish you a productive, peace-filled and successful Week 2 of the Captain's Challenge! YOU GOT THIS!

Good to have you back @Arc130 !! No worries...the last few days of each month, we always check both pages for info...you're not the first...and truth be told, you were weighing in the the fifth week of Sept, so you did it correctly...the Oct stats started today...so next Sat will be your first Oct weigh in!
