Encounters with stamping, snorting deer. On a windy day they can't hear you until you're up close

As in TOO CLOSE! Poor things. I'm sure they're impressed by your balance, though! At the tail end of the summer when I was cat sitting for Em, she and M were heading out for an evening walk - until the other side of the car where there were two fluffy skunk escorts. Ha! They opted for indoor exercise on the mini-elliptical machine. It's easier to be close to the deer than skunks.

So many hugs flying your way! I hope you are going to be feeling better very soon. Family times can be so stressful, even when they are also good. As to your weight - Noom can be helpful for sure, and a real "program" of exercise, rather than just a huge choice of all kinds of videos you can follow if you figure out which ones are the good idea. Programs can help you stick with something definite, with no big choices to have to make. You can also make a simple commitment to pre-logging and sticking with your calories every day, but sometimes being self-directed gets hard. I hope you find the path that works for you! In the meantime, stick with us and never hesitate to come in and unload, or share a great day - whatever it takes!

Wow! November is almost over. I’m feeling much better. I think maybe just exhaustion and a bit tummy upset. Logging is still sloppy. I’m fixing that tomorrow.

@Kali225 Sending hugs to you. Hope you feel better soon either way. Take care of yourself and check in so we know your ok.

I hope you get a negative test @Kali225, or at least if it is positive you have a mild case. I have a few friends (double vaccinated) who've had it and it has left them tired for a while.

I've been considering Noom too, just for a kick start, but I don't like how little information you can get about it up front. I always thought WW was very transparent so that tends to be a benchmark for me, although ultimately I wasn't successful on WW.

    PW: 79.3 (or 4, can't remember!)
    CW: 79.7

I don't think that's bad considering, though it is in the wrong direction for my short term goal. 1 perfect day coming right up.

We didn't leave the house at all yesterday due to the weather, which meant my step count was low and I needed to earn some activity points for the health insurance so I got on the trampoline. I couldn't keep my heart rate high enough, and ended up sacking it off after 20 minutes, so I need to get out today. I'm going to walk at lunch time, then either walk or run after work.

We're having fajitas for tea today which are always enjoyable, and I have left over stir fry for lunch but I may see if the shop has any wraps; OH wants me to get him some Eccles cakes anyway which are "a small, round pie, similar to a turnover, filled with currants and made from flaky pastry with butter, sometimes topped with demerara sugar." I've never actually tried one, and do not need yet another calorific food that I enjoy!

I've had a few days where I haven't been chasing productivity which is nice, but I want to get cracking again this week. We're back in Yorkshire on Saturday and potentially heading to Manchester to look at a car, so I will try to make the most of my evenings.

Not the best loss for me but had a wonderful trip. If it wouldn't have been for all the beer I think I would have lost more. Back on track this week and I made my November goal to be less than 300. Hitting the gym and mall early today and then I have to make a million phone calls today. Still hoping to go back to work this week. I have a lot of posts to catch up on and will do that this afternoon. I hope all had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Under 300! You did it in spite of the beer  I hope you make it through the million phone calls - sounds horrible... Enjoy your day!

@jugar The trip was incredible. The casino is my idea of a perfect trip and surprising my family at Thanksgiving was even better. My mom actually cried when she saw me. I was there with my boyfriend but when we gamble he sits at a card table for 12-14 hours at a time. I have been with him for almost 19 years and love him to death but I do not get much attention from him while he is playing cards. For the first time in I couldn't tell you how long, I got attention from plenty of men. I would never act on anything like that but to be honest, it felt very good. That is why I drank so many beers. Every time I turned around someone was buying me another one.

@DD265 Taking a break from productivity once in a while is good for mental health. We all know that mental health is as important as physical health.

@ashleycarole86 As always you continue to inspire with your step counts. I will get there some day. The two travel days for me me were low step counts but I managed over 7000 steps a day. It is about 1:30 pm now and I have 6815 steps and hoping to walk a mile on the treadmill this evening. I am eager to hit a 10,000 step day.

@Kali225 Hope you feel better soon. Praying it is not Covid. Rest, relax, and listen to your body.

Well that was a good Monday. Mostly.

This morning while my car was having tire and oil change, I got in all my 10,000 steps by 11:30 am. Things are better with the tall guy - I think my son let him know he needed to communicate a bit better! We got some stuff done, froze our fingers, and had a good afternoon. I did have a celebratory beer which was not in the plan, but it's OK. Food was good with tons of veggies and the cookies I made yesterday (all while both cursing and feeling sisterly with @micki48 ) are at my son's house and in the freezer. Not accessible. No. But yesterday...:frowning:

@MandiSaysHey be sure to weigh in on Wednesday, and that will be your December starting weight. I'll be heading back from regular team to maintenance. Anyone else making a change for December? From Support to regular? @conleywoods ?

Let's keep working at a great week 5, ok? More GREEN!!!

    @Kali225

This is the time to let me know if you want to change anything for December - weigh-in day? Want to try a different team for a bit? Need something you're not getting? On support and want to come back to regular or vice versa?

Overdid it all weekend but I'm reigning it in now. Perfect day coming up tomorrow.

I'm also totally looking forward to going to my local library for the first time ever! I just got my membership card in the mail. I'm trying to improve my French so I can communicate better with my neighbours and in-laws and I got the crazy idea that I should try reading the trashy novels and chick-lit books I enjoy in my second language so it will feel less like work (learning proper written grammar structures) and more like leisure. Tomorrow will be the test!

Audiobooks! Get the library book and also listen to it at the same time. It is a great way to work on a language.

@ashleycarole86 Great stepping from all 8 on the team!! Going to aim for a strong week 5 for sure.
