Sorry for the delay. This week has been crazy. I have been staying up later then usual to get stuff done. I need quiet time in the evening or it takes me awhile to fall asleep. I am NOT complaining. I am so happy that we get to do all the normal holiday events. Tomorrow, I am hosting the Varsity Cheer Holiday party. We are decorating cookies, ornaments, Gingerbread houses, each other (as trees), and Secret Santa. I went all out since they didn't get to do this last year.5 -
Some encouraging scale results for me this morning, albeit after a very dehydrating Hockey game where we only had 8 skaters per side and played for over an hour instead of the usual 50 minutes. I'm hopeful that I can make it into the next decade of the 180s by the end of the year, even if it's December! I've printed my calendar and written in the days that overeating will be expected and excused, I just need to not let emotional eating climb on top of those dates, or else I'll have to really step up the exercise levels. Went to see Dad in the hospital yesterday. He's unfortunately not responding to medications the way the doctors had hoped so he won't be able to be released to any long term care facilities for awhile. We had hoped to have him settled somewhere more permanent (and calm) by the holidays but it's not looking promising.
But, to lighten the mood, here is a collage of my Kitties in their holiday pajamas!

I’m happy with that considering logging was sparse. 🙂
Pilates ✅ done for the day. Although @jugar Robin has a live workout at 12:30ET today. I may try to make it.
I’m slow getting moving today with a full list of things to do. Enjoying my coffee and listening to calm music. Thinking about all the people who find the holidays a bit sad because of missing loved ones. On the 8th, it will be 25 years since I lost my mom. Still miss her. ❤️For years now, I have made the 8th “Momma Day” I do something special with my kids or for me to remember her.
Have a great day everyone.5 -
Hi, I am a bad girl. Sorry this is late. Blaming this on the holiday season.
PW: 204 lbs
CW: 206 lbs
Thanksgiving temptations… grrr… I did walk every day.5 -
I tracked well yesterday, but I think my sodium intake was a little too high and I barely drank any water. I also didn't sleep well so today I feel yucky and tired. Trying to struggle through work. I'm about to go take a quick walk around the building to get some steps in.3

@PlaneMonkey Your cats are adorable. We have two ourselves.. love the pics
By the way, we have the same goal (get into the 180's by end of year). We've got this!!!
I guess that's my stretch goal in a way. I will honestly be very happy if I start Jan 1 lower than I was Dec 1. But ideally that'll be in a number in the 180's
Brad and I are done work at noon today and then off to Canmore to stay a night at the venue we got married at. We have a lovely dinner reservation booked.. it's about a 20 minute walk from the hotel so I'm hoping we'll just walk there, but it may depend on weather.. it's a nice place and I don't want to be too haggard when I get there
Have a good weekend all5 -
@PlaneMonkey Those pics are too cute for words. I would love to dress my dog up but he isn't having it.
@ashleycarole86 Sounds like a fun evening. Have a great time!
@MoStacy Don't beat yourself up. Thanksgiving should be celebrated. November and December is always a little more difficult. We all tend to celebrate occasions with food. I graduate Sunday and ny friends wanted to take me to dinner. I have convinced them that coffee and then an escape room is a much better way to celebrate.4 -
OK I have put some of my stress to the side and feeling much better. My truck will be fixed by tomorrow and even though it cost $1300 I'm relieved. My stepson will be home for Christmas break on Wednesday so I am super happy about that. We planned out our Christmas dinner menu yesterday and I should have no problem sticking to my diet. Cornbread stuffing is on there and I love it but with only 20% of my stomach I cannot eat bread because it swells in my stomach and I can't eat anything else. We r having prime rib and I would much rather have that.
A NSV happened for me yesterday. It was good for me but not so much for my boyfriend. He weighed in at 300 and I was 298. This is the first time I have ever weighed less than him. He is mad about it but I don't care. If he wants to change his eating habits then I will support him 100% but if he doesn't want to put in the work then he has to face the consequences. He has a family history of high blood pressure, cancer, and diabetes, plus he is African American which increases his risk for about everything...he needs to get it together but when I try to nudge him in the right direction he gets mad. Wont be doing that no more..lol.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.7 -

Some great weigh-ins! You all rock, and if you had a gain - you are not a bad person, a slacker, or any kind of a thing that the blah-blah-blah in your head might call you. You are learning, you are having an adventure working with food in new ways, and old comforting habits are not evil either. They just need balancing. And cursing at. And for you not to get sucked into the vortex of doom...
Keep on cursing, tracking, and feeling great as often as possible!9 -
@micki48
I got that Pilates done yesterday, and I'm about to do it today. I'm sticking with the TBL calendar, but started this week late. I'll be caught up by the end of the weekend! Thanks, as always, for the inspiration.
@gak71 enjoy your trip! I like your planning and packing of workout and walking gear.
I'm heading back to the Goal Zone part of the team for December - I think that will actually keep me more on track than being on the regular team. I will always know that if I pass 117 pounds, I'll be back on the regular team in January taking a spot that someone who is new to us might need. I'll gripe and complain some more about how being small is hard, especially when surrounded by tall people and 20-somethings over the holidays. But then I'll hopefully take them snowshoeing and wear them right out!4 -
The December Habit Tracker is up and ready for you to plan and set up for success in December. Be sure to plan which days you won't worry about, and which days you hope to stick to the straight and narrow!

I want to be at or below 174 by January 1st, 2022.
I’m recommitting to NOOM as well as F2F.
I drove my younger daughter to the older’s apartment in Winooski yesterday in order to help with some basic tidying and cooking so the elder (wedding photographer) could get the last projects of the year wrapped up. I figured that it helps to have a cleaner environment whilst working, even though it’s beyond her when drowning in tasks for work to do anything besides laundry.
There are many “multi-tasking-Momma-things” she helped me learn how to do when she was a toddler that I’m glad I can do more automatically now. It’s fun to have both mid/upper 30-year-olds amazed at how many things I can get done in the time it takes them to shower, dress, and put on makeup. Crazy!
I had my booster today and plan to head to bed soon.
I’ve neglected logging food and doing much exercise over the last couple of weeks (I was going to say days) and need to choose 2 things to do this coming week. Narrowing the choices is a good reminder, @jugar. I’ll also make a plan and report back soon. It’s good to hear all the ins and outs of your processes, dear teammates. I appreciate you being a part of my journey. Here’s to plans and flexibility and grace when plans change and mistakes are made.
We’ve all got this!5 -
Hey all!
Well, today turned into what I'll delicately call a blowout...
It wasn't meant to be, but it turned out that way.
I haven't had many of these this year, so I'll just reflect and instead I'll focus on what went well:
-At lunch, Brad and I shared one appy and one main. In the past, we might have gotten one appy and a main each. I also didn't eat my half of each.
-We walked to dinner from our hotel (~30 mins each way). We normally wouldn't have done this.
-The dinner was a 3 course chef's menu (surprise) with wine pairings. I was so full by dessert (this was the bad) that I left half the dessert and half my dessert wine. Old Ashley NEVER left food behind.
-I tracked it all (as best as I reasonably can.)
-I have no desire to make today a norm.
When I say "normally", this is pre-MFP. Our new habits support all of what did happen today despite the blowout.
I'm a foodie at heart. I love food. But overeating is not fun the way it used to be (in the moment anyway...). But, I'm also not bad because I overate. Onwards and upwards!5 -
Today's exercise:
11992 steps and 45 minutes Peloton3 -
The calm of Saturday morning, no need to race about, even though there is a long to do list. I'm signed on to the habit tracker - keeping it simple.

The December Team Chat is UP! Time for new month introductions, commitments, and starting off on the right foot. Continue final weigh-ins here, and head to the new chat to get December officially started:

One thing you might want to do -
Go back to the first couple of pages in THIS month's chat. See what your goals were for November, and reflect on how they went. It is a good way to see what went well, what did not go so well, and to set December goals in consequence. That and the habit tracker are a good combo!
