Started the day eating cold leftover Thai food for breakfast….

Sucked it up and entered all my food for the day. Although I was way, way over on carbs, I did not exceed my maintenance cals. Kicked myself in the butt, got a good night’s sleep ( Finally) and determined to start this new week focused.

To that end, so far today (1/9) I had 3 pieces of bacon and coffee for breakfast, am taking a 6 mile hike and have some yummy and on-plan food mapped out for the day.

I received a good night's sleep the other night too, after carbing out. I wonder if that's why my sleep has been less than stellar. Usually my carb count is under 30 grams. I eat 75 grams and finally get a good night's sleep. Since sleep is so elusive (I'm going on 5 hrs right now) maybe I need to up my carb count. But I'm so afraid of not losing anymore weight.

I am using daily time restricted eating, lower carb (under 125 grams of carbs per day), gluten and diary free for my goals.

Today, I fasted 14.5 hours and am eating a gluten free unprocessed diet. I love my variety of veggies and usually have 1 to 2 exchanges of fruit per day like berries which don't spike my blood glucose. I had a post meal BG of 150 which is great for me. I got very sick during the holidays and spiked to the upper 300s!! It didn't help that I was eating sugar and gluten during the holidays, and not doing my daily fasting. I was using rapid insulin during my sick time, but am happily off it now.

I gained 13 pounds over the holidays...high of 233 when I was at 221. This is down from my all time high of 345 pounds.

The body is resilient though until it is not. It is so important for me to proceed forward in a positive manner.

Water and weight lifting still good however weekends I’m either walking or doing some low impact cardio or HIIT. I strayed a bit from eating only when hungry the last couple of days but got back on track today. Still trying to get protein up so I might investigate a powder to use. Scale is back down today so now to focus on some loss this week.

    Hi! I'm Mary from Pennsylvania.
Back again! Will post weight on Sundays. Sticking with what has been working for me since 5/14/21. 1000-1200 calories/day,
Net Carbs15 +/- 3 grams(some days actually less), 70+ oz water/day, only 2 meals/day on non work days (I work 4 days/week) and exercise on my non work days (as I work long days).
    UGW-122 lbs
Down 84.2 lbs of 132 lb goal to lose.

Oct goal was 10 lbs Almost made it!, loss -9.6 lbs
Nov goal was 5 lbs Made it, loss -5.6 lbs!
Dec goal is also 5 lbs, loss so far -5.4 lbs! Made my goal!

9/14/20-255 lbs Highest weight twice :-(
    5/3/21-240.5 lbs
    6/1/21-228.8 lbs
    7/1/21-222.2 lbs
    8/1/21-212.0 lbs
    9/1/21-200.0 lbs
    10/1/21-191.4 lbs
    11/1/21-181.8 lbs
    12/1/21-176.2 lbs
    12/26/21-165.6 lbs
    12/31/21-168 lbs
Went out to Texas Roadhouse on on 12/28, behaved except for a few of their rolls (remind me of my Grandma's homemade bread) so I'm sure its water weight from Sodium.

My January goal is 5 lbs and continue with my diet and exercise up above, that is working great for me. I did 240 minutes on my Elliptical yesterday and today for 16.5 & 16.55 miles.

1/2/22-168 lbs Still sure it's water weight. And having Pork & Sauerkraut for New Years isn't helping. It will drop eventually.

1/9/22-164.6 lbs. :-) Water weight was finally gone yesterday after a week+ and then a drop today to my lowest weight in 6-7 years!!!! Did 244 minutes on my Elliptical for 17.1 miles.

January 2022 Goals: Get down to 175 or lower
Overall Goal: 150 lbs or lower

Well, I figured I'd be going up but I thought it would be closer to 178. So pleasantly surprised. Today, back on track. At least my team gets a bye this week so I have 2 weeks to reach my goal of being under 175 lbs for the month. Then after that, all bets are off until after a. my team loses yet again :( ; or b. after the Superbowl in the event my team makes it!! Yes, I am basing my weight loss on the Buffalo Bills. Don't judge.

I've gotten rid of all the other goals I was attempting to keep track. I will continue keeping track but for myself. You guys don't care about those! LOL! So no longer subjecting you to them!

    Have a great day!

1/7/22 Shoveled the driveway, carbs 28, water 6
1/8/22 Scale 167.5 No workout, party food so no tracking. Thought I did well on water but apparently not.
1/9/22 Scale 171.5 Spin class plus bowling, carbs 48, still not enough water after seeing the scale this morning, 172 this morning. My body definitely does not like when I deviate from my routine. Hopefully things will level out tomorrow.

Hubby bought the wrong tube for my indoor bike but got the right one and fixed it yesterday. Will use it tonight after finishing taking down the Xmas tree.

Unfortunately, I've been having trouble with my eyes again. I have Sjogren's (dry body disease) and keto keeps water off very well. That tends not to mesh well with me and is the reason I quit keto in maintenance to begin with, not because I didn't want to do it anymore, I just couldn't and not end up with cornea and possibly lens damage in my eyes due to severe dryness. Last night was pretty aggravating waking with my lids insisting on tugging my corneas and causing pain despite all my ointments that usually work. I'm hoping that it settles down, otherwise I'm going to have to up my carbs, which makes carb cravings and appetite come back. Fingers crossed.

1/10/22 30 min upper body strength class, carbs 37, water 10 glasses. Scale down a tad this morning, the leveling out will take a couple days.

Did not get around to finishing the tree take down nor the bike. I was cold and cranky. Will do the bike at lunch today, to stay warm.
