Been doing well since the power came back on, have a plan for the month for workouts, and going to stick to at least 5 poverty days a week...should be able to make goal as long as I follow the plan as designed and the scale doesn't go crazy on me!!!

@NYPhotographer2021 My A1C in October was 6.4. Today the doctor told me it is ......... 5.4. I am at a normal level with no medication, I made changes to my eating and lost some weight. I'm pretty proud of myself.

Whooo hooo! That's awesome!!! Keto should be the only way a Type 2 diabetic eats! I know that's a blanket statement, but so many times I've heard that, and I've experienced it myself!

    CONGRATULATIONS!!! <3

Yesterday was a good day but a bit high in calories so the scale ticked up today. I went into the office for the first time in forever and was home by lunch time. Hubs asked for bagels and even though I had packed and eaten lunch at work I was still hungry and had a bagel. Well that set off the cravings and I wanted all the food. Protein wasn’t great and water intake was just average but I got in enough movement and strength training. I swear I take 1 step forward and 2 back. I’ll get it together at some point!

1/11/22 30 min indoor bike, carbs 48, water 10 glasses.

Did the bike at lunch but it seems after my body cools down from cardio, it keeps cooling and I can't get warm. Curled up on the couch with the cats after work instead of doing all the stuff around the house I should. Hubby made a delicious venison roast for dinner. I found that I can get my water in better if I drink hot or warm water throughout the day. Whatever works!

For me it's just not feasible to be at a calorie deficit every day, I end up going crazy and quitting...so poverty days are the days I eat at a calorie deficit, versus maintenance days where I eat at maintenance calories...

Poverty days are hard...I wish I had more calories to "spend" on those days...but I'd really like to slim up a bit, so you gotta do what you gotta do...

@tcunbeliever , I feel your pain. Anymore, it is very hard to get into a deficit for me as well. Now, do I make all the right choices? No and that contributes but I consider myself fairly active from an exercise perspective and feel like there are times I just need the fuel. But I still try to drop a few vanity pounds , and geez it is difficult!

Nice whoosh. And even with Lucifer's Waterfall paying me a visit today (thank you tcunbeliever for that gem!)

My energy working out was much better yesterday. Not sure if I'm starting to adapt or the moody rage helped...but in any case I had a good workout.

down to 158 today after bouncing up to 159.6 a few days ago...think this is probably PMS so I won't get an accurate read on weight until after all the drama clears...ugh...I really should start tracking inches in addition...need to remember that tomorrow morning...sticking with the plan, yesterday was a hungry day and hard to stay at poverty, but I did it (mostly) and used a protein shake to hit protein goals (which did put me 100 cals over, but worth it to me)...weekend will be crazy busy but I'm going to try to keep it all poverty and hold off until like next week for another maintenance day (fingers crossed)

@canadjineh , so sorry about your trip! I’ve always wanted to go to the Azores. Are you a diver? (I am).

No, I just snorkel, surf (not well, lol), and boogie board. A bit too cold to dive in January in the Azores anyhow. Also just cancelled the Thailand trip for our 40th anniversary in March. :( Bummer. Looking at a hiking trip to base of Annapurna range in late November.... haven't bought it yet, feeling like this is going to go on forever. I know it won't, it just seems like it. My bank just closed for the week - too many Covid quarantine and isolation among the staff.

Weighed myself the other day...too crappy to mark down here, now worse thanks to 99 cent boxes of candy canes, and bottles of good wine - not at the same time. Tomorrow is a restart.
