    Nice week of steps!

    @Gwiz401
    Take it minute by minute. If you feel your emotions getting the better of you, com on here and post. You got the next 11 days!

    @Beautyofdreams
    Very nice weight session! I can’t wait for spring!

    @Pippin20206
    Thanks for telling us about Sammy. We can all take a lesson from him. He is so cute.

    @rwood566
    That’s so good that you walked instead of driving. See your healthy decision paid off. Your bread looks good. Thanks for the recipe.

    @peng123
    Awesome day! How are the knees feeling today?

    @jimboden3
    Nice loss! Sorry about your sprain. That’s the spirit by increasing those steps!

    Date 1/16
    Step count 4153

    Sleet and ice here in the south, not the snow I wanted. Nevertheless I stayed inside and took a rest day. I did snack too much, inactivity is not a good thing I found, but I whooshed all the water my sore muscles were holding on to down over 2.5 pounds since Saturday. Now if I can only hold on to that weight!

    Gotta love having a whoosh.

    @lindamtuck2018 My knees are hanging in there - I try to get some exercise whenever they pop back into the right position - I see the doctor in two days - looking forward to finding a solution so I can get back to my regular exercise schedule - thanks for asking!

    @Gwiz401 You can do it! Just break the time down into manageable increments - hours, days - whatever works best for you! 11 days will be here in no time!

    ❌close rings
    ✅steps 4,043
    ✅log food daily

    The scales took a big jump the last 3 days. I am up 7 pounds since Friday. Lots of factors at play but the jiggs dinner last night was the biggest contributor. Very high sodium. I am hoping it comes down by Friday.

    I am going to fight to close my exercise ring today. I have done 8 minutes of mini walking but I got credit for 4. I don’t care how many mini walks it takes but I will get the 20 minutes done. I have a massage later today so I am hoping it loosens things up so I can move faster.

    Have a great Monday!

    Good morning everyone. I’m late in posting, but I’ve been logging in everyday, and logging my food. The scale has been all over the place - I think between holidays, water and salt weight - the scale has not been my friend. I met my step goal almost everyday last week, which is exciting. I have to remind myself (frequently!) that even though I’m not where I want to be, I am much further along than where I started.

    My biggest issues though are definitely sweets and wine. Not to mention, when I have a glass of wine, I really want chocolate lol - not good for my diet, but they sure do go well together!

    I did really well walking last week. During my planning period at work I like to do laps around my floor - it’s also a good way to release stress - which as a teacher there’s definitely plenty of, right now!

    Weigh In Day: Monday
    PW (Previous Weight): 239.4
    CW (Current Weight): 237

    Hi all, here for Monday weigh in. I usually post early in the morning, but was rushing so didn't have time.

    Nice to start getting back some of the losses I did before. I'm thinking about incorporating some weightlifting back in here and there. No idea if it works but it'll mentally feel better.

    Used my new instant pot for the 1st time just now ... I made hard boiled eggs in it which took 5 minutes to cook and they came out perfect ... I was terrified of the pressure cooker since I have never used one

    I'm pasting a message I posted a little bit ago to my wall. I'm a little preoccupied, and I wanted to let you all know why. 🧡🧡 Lee

    "Also, to those of you who responded to a question I asked a couple of days ago, I will have time to respond later today. Trying to catch up on a ton of stuff. Hubs will need an ankle replacement in mid-March😬😳. I'm busy as a "cat covering it up," as the saying goes. He is in excellent health. It stems from an old injury. He is very, very active and it has started to interfere with some of his favorite activities, etc.

    I'm grateful for all of you!! Be well. 😊🧡 Lee"

    @Megan_smartiepants1970 A friend gave me an Instant Pot several years ago - I've never used it - I'm afraid of it. Also - Congratulations on your loss this week!

    I think I will like this gadget .... It wasn't too bad of an experience... the pressure cooker part scared me and the steam coming out of the top freaked me out for a few minutes but at least my eggs came out good ...now I can make my cobb salad and put them in the little meal prep containers I bought ... thanks for the congratulations :)

    Congrats: @JodiSW, @lindamtuck2018, and @jayenguk!!

    @Pippin20206
    Lovely photo of Sammy. Looks like some seriously cute inspiration. There is a bulldog I see from time to time at our vets. She is super, super friendly. 😀

    @rwood566
    That bread looks really, really tasty. Do you think it would make a difference if I used honey or monk fruit as a sweetener instead of sugar? I don't have any sugar in the house at the moment. Well for that matter, I don't have any dark beer either, lol.

    @red1185
    Yep. Even though you might not be where you want to be, you are getting there!!

    @peng123
    Thank you for your thoughts!!

    I'm glad you get to see a specialist for your back soon.

    Hello Everyone! I have been feeling a little off my game. Not sick but just not great. I will get my full 6000 steps in today for the first time in a few days. I don't feel great, but I felt good enough to walk.
    If you are reading this, raise a glass and drink some extra water with me!

    Good evening everybody! I’m proud to say my step goal was crushed today! AND I had a NSV this morning: some pants that (were already too big) fit EVEN LOOSER this morning. I didn’t feel comfortable wearing them because of how loose they were lol. I’m taking that as a VERY good sign. The scale is not my friend, but those pants sure made up for it. I’m still working on my water intake for the whole day - I did manage to get my 36 oz water bottle in, but I usually try to drink 2 of those!
    Anyway- in other news: it snowed here the other day, and it was so pretty. I’m not one of those “let’s go play in the snow” (unless it’s a GOOD snow - which, down here in GA is like 6 or 7 inches lol) - I love to sit, with a hot cup of coffee, and just watch it -sooo pretty!! Unfortunately it’s all gone now. I love snow! I don’t understand southerners who don’t like snow (I.e. my sister) lol - you Northerners: I can definitely understand. But MY DREAM is to experience a TRUE snowfall. It’ll happen one day. One of my goals is Canada for a GOOD, BEAUTIFUL snowfall! I saw Banff on TV once, and was SOLD. It’s a dream of mine.

    In other news: my travel agent job is progressing (I guess). Over the weekend I became a “Hawaii Specialist”! I took a couple of courses all about Hawaii, and next I’m going to take a course on EACH particular island. Once I finish all of those, I become a “Hawaii Expert”! I think once I do that, I get trip benefits, etc. Maybe I should do that for Canada, and my snowfall dream will happen even sooner! Lol

    Anyway…I hope everyone is doing well. Sorry for the long post, but thanks for hearing with me! Have a great night!

    @lindamtuck2018 hope your back starts feeling better soon!

    Does anyone else save their gummy multivitamin to that time in the day when you crave candy? Ok maybe just me.

    So I’ve clearly identified a trigger for bad eating for me — road-trips! My hubby and I drove down to the wildlife refuge on Monday (I had the day off), about 2.5 hours south. We saw bald eagles, herons, cranes, snow geese, mule deer, other raptors…. And We got candy at the gas station… and a protein bar. Oh and pizza. Then later I made some ridiculous nachos when we got home. UGH.

    But. Today I’m back on track. And I’ve finally figured out some exercise goals. I just did day 2 of couch to 5k… so at least 3 days a week of run/walk. And I’m going to try 30 mins (at least) of yoga for 30 days… and hopefully keep both of these going.

    Anyway. Steps. @Megan_smartiepants1970

    good evening everyone. is everyone ready for that stupid camel to go around you saying "hump day"? lol
    check in for 1/18:
    steps - 4647. i will get more since i have to pick up the kid from work at 10:30.
    calories - 1786 or so. to many high calorie snacks.
    exercise - none. light errand shopping this morning but stayed inside the rest of the day.

    @Bluetail6 i don't know about other sweeteners, sorry. it will be interesting to find out. is it a straight exchange with the monk fruit? i don't have beer in my house. i had to go to 3 stores to find a bottle for this. if you try it with an alternative, would you let me know? Best wishes to your hubby with his surgery. i haven't heard about ankle replacement before. what is the recovery and rehab time like?
    @Jpedno it's great that you identified a trigger. hopefully you can try to stop it early next time with some planning. maybe start up a slow cooker before you leave for that dinner to be ready?
