Good evening everyone. Made it back home safely. We spent 7 1/2 hours there and I drove 2 hours each way. I am bushes.
Check in for 1/12:
Steps - 13730. I had a lot more but I had my hands in my pockets or was carrying bags and not swinging my arm.
Calories - I logged 1710 but it is a huge guess. I did log everything I ate though. Very little snacking today. Only bad thing was my water intake.
Exercise - the park was enough. I wound up with 266 minutes with a high pulse. Almost all of it was standing in lines and my body not liking it. However, a high pulse is a high pulse. I am very curious about the scale the next couple days.

I am glad it was nice. Don’t sweat the weight as most of it is water weight. You should see it drop fairly quickly. Are you finished the shakes?Good evening everyone. Made it back home safely. We spent 7 1/2 hours there and I drove 2 hours each way. I am bushes.

I bet your tired. You have to be proud of how far you came. Is this your first time at Disney since you have lost weight? Can you do the rides now? You are looking very fit and healthy.3 -

That looks amazing! What type of salad is it?

I managed 33 minutes of exercise yesterday. I think 7 minutes of that my Apple Watch logged as exercise when I was vacuuming and preparing supper. I behind on everything today as I slept late and have been on the phone a lot. Did some mini walks while on the phone. I am off to prep supper. We are having spinach ravioli with mushroom and sausage. I have the salad made already. It’s one of my favourite meals. 🤤
Have a super day!4 -

Happy Thursday, Downsizers! Here's my daily check-in:
1/12:
Calories: 1,144
Exercise: None
Steps: 8,657
I'm feeling extremely frustrated - my knees have not been cooperating with me so exercise has been difficult. I made an appointment with my knee doctor for next week. In the meantime, I will be stuck doing the strengthening exercises that my doctor has asked me to do - and I'm hoping to at least get 10,000 steps per day if possible. It's making me really sad.4 -
@lindamtuck2018 it was my 1st trip in 18 years. I was heavier then that I am now. I went on 4 rides this time but the wait times became to long. I rode jungle cruise, Indiana Jones, pirates of the Caribbean, and it's a small world. All the good rides had wait times at least an hour long.4

Not terrible, considering I spent over a day sick in bed (very unusual for me) as well as a 2-day road trip to return daughter to college.3 -

30 minutes strength training
Well, have binged the last 2 nights. I have got to stop sitting in the kitchen at nights and increase fiber and fat to feel full. @lindamtuck2018, I log everything that I eat. Binges generally come with loneliness, boredom and anxiety. Think the most recent binges have just involved boredom only. Have spent a lot of time indoors due to weather. Tomorrow expecting 5-8” snow so will get some exercise shoveling. Hope it’s the fluffy snow and not the wet, heavy snow.
I have 18 squares filled on the card. Last night tried a new recipe. It was a Great Depression era pie. The main ingredient was 12 oz. water! It also had a cup of sugar, 4 Tbs flour, 5Tbs margarine/butter, 2tsp vanilla and a 9” pie shell. It tasted like a vanilla caramel. You pour in the water and vanilla, in the pie shell, sprinkle the sugar/flour mixture on top then dot with small pieces of margarine. Bake at 400 for 30 minutes then cover edges of pie crust and bake at 375 for 30 minutes. Let cool then chill to set center. Can use any liquid to add flavor or add 1 Tbs cinnamon to topping so pie tastes like a snickerdoodle cookie.3 -

Good evening,
This past week has been a little hard for me, haven't really felt like doing much in way of exercising. I have been logging in my food diary every day and trying to complete my habit tracker list daily (but have come up short on the exercise part)
Have retained a lot of fluids in my legs and I'm worried this will show a gain on my Weigh-in Day Saturday. Hoping that next week will be a better one and I will have more energy to exercise a few times a week.3 -
Hi everyone,
Just wanted to do a quick check in. This first week back on track after my hubby being so sick has been pretty good. Trying to focus on tracking calories and doing a short walk with my hubby everyday. He’s recovering from surgery so we’re not going too far but at least it gets us outside the house for a few minutes. Im working from home and we aren’t going anywhere except grocery and doc appts bc of Covid.
But. I’ve been starting to think of goals. I am going to start couch to 5k this weekend. I have done several half marathons but haven’t kept up with it since we moved back to New Mexico five years ago. Our house in Santa Fe is a lot higher elevation than when we lived in Fort Collins, CO and I’ve been a wimp about it. Training at high altitude is no joke! But I have no excuses after 5 years so I’m going to start this weekend. My work is going to sponsor a local 5k this summer and I want to be able to run it easily.
More about goals… Ive also been thinking a lot about yoga. I was quite a yogi when I was in college but I’m so out of practice. I just bought a year of the DownDog app and am going to start this weekend on that too. I’m excited! But now I just need to make some habits and have some discipline!
I’m doing ok on step goal but hope to improve after this weekend.

@888Angie888
Nice loss! How is the new year going for you?
@aneedlecraft
I gain weight anytime I get sick. I gain 3 pounds last week and I had been sick and barely eating for several days. All the sitting on a road trip I would thing affects weight.
@Beautyofdreams
I am the same. Well I log what I can remember because I am usually in a haze late at night when I binge. The last few nights I have been eating chip nuts. My husband got them for Christmas. They are surprisingly low in calories and sodium for 1/4 cup. Not the healthiest but they fill me up and haven’t binged. I have to figure out where to get this brand as I am sure regular chip nuts are loaded with sodium. Also, the anxiety of the holidays has eased off so that is helping.
That’s awesome having only 8 squares to go. Your pie sounds amazing!
@flowerblossom_58
You haven’t been feeling well with your eyes so don’t be hard on yourself about the exercise. It’s great that you logged and did the habit tracker. Don’t worry about if you gain. It happens to everyone for a variety of reasons.
@Jpedno
You are doing great. You are smart staying near home given the Covid situation. You have a solid plan for exercise. Go easy on yourself as you have been through a lot the last few months.
@peng123
Be careful you don’t aggravate the knee more. When do you see the knee specialist. I am impressed you still did all that exercise.
@Bluetail6
Nice loss! I have found Amazon pretty good to fix lost or damaged shipments. Once my granddaughter entered the wrong address and they still replaced it. She made a typo. How did it go for you?

I posted this question on my wall:
For Downsizers who are Premium subscribers:
1) Do any of you have the negative calorie adjustment feature enabled? I was considering doing it for a month. I am in the normal weigh range, but not at goal weight/range quit yet. I'm wondering if it will make a significant difference in what my Garmin is currently recording. I wear my smartwatch and sync regularly. I have been working on improving/increasing my N.E.A.T in addition to planned movement. Did it make a considerable difference for you?
2) Do any of you track exercise w/o increasing your calorie goals? This is something I've never really thought about doing, so far, as I do like to see the majority of my days in the green... Only talking about myself here, lol. 😉😊
Now that I've asked these pressing questions... I shall attempt to get back to sleep!! Grateful I can sleep in tomorrow. 😳😁3 -
Good morning all. Late check in.
