So glad you are okay, Nanc! We were worried and had no way to get in touch. Happy to hear you're making progress.

Are you all recovered now, Mihani? Back at the office today?

I will read the next chapter in BPWL today. It is harder to get myself to read because I know that homework follows LOL Guess there's some things we don't grow out of.

I had a successful food day yesterday. It wasn't perfect by any means, but all reasonable - a smoothie, apple with nut butter, and small portion of spaghetti with lots of sauce and veggies. I got in 2 walks as well. Up half a pound. haha well it has been a week or so since I've weighed myself, so I'll assume it is all of the bad days and not that one good day.

It is Joe's birthday today. We're going to have the roasted butternut squash soup for dinner, and he's going to have a mug cake so we have something to put a candle in. I'm going to do my best to just watch. I know if I can make it through 3 snack free and treat free days I'll be back on track. I purchased one gift he requested, so I know he'll like that one, and a surprise...we'll see how that one goes!

    Plan:
    Smoothie
    Apple or orange
    Butternut Squash soup
2 walks with dog, 1 TM while reading

I'm trying a new butternut squash recipe this weekend, Carla! https://www.wellplated.com/butternut-squash-quinoa-salad/

Woohoo on the walks! I don't think you are eating enough though. :)

    Happy Birthday, Joe!

Did I mention secretary has been off sick the past two days? I'm sorry she's sick but I'm so screwed.

Stuck at the office late but off for dinner and check emails. I am doing my mindfulness every night before bed. With only 3 nights behind me I can't say I've developed a habit, but I'm working on it! I also got back on the treadmill yesterday and this morning. My knee and hip were bugging me too much last week after my fall.

B - ezekiel toast with a smidge of almond butter (I have to lose this ezekiel toast breakfast habit and get back to fruit, but geeze I love ezekiel toast)
L - lentil veggie soup from the freezer supply
D - big ol' salad, an apple

Hope your secretary is back soon.

I made it through yesterday as planned. It is the evenings that are the hardest. I have been waiting until 11am or so for breakfast and that's been working well for me. 2 walks with the dogs yesterday.

I got Joe an archery set which he requested for his bday and then got him a drone, which was the surprise. It was charging yesterday so our first test flight will be today. I won't be trying out the bow for a long time with my shoulder feeling the way it does, but I think this one will be too hard for me to pull back anyway. If Joe gets into it, I might get a lighter weight one for myself.

    plan:
    3 walks
    coffee
    smoothie
    fruit with yogurt
    chili

Oh, I love archery, Carla! I was actually pretty good at it the few times I did it. Which is weird because I am not great when it comes to hand/eye coordination. I could never catch a ball and sucked at volleyball, softball, etc. I am good at darts and archery. Guess I'm better at throwing and shooting than having things thrown at me. I went to an archery place a few years ago and loved it! I keep meaning to go back but you know how life gets in the way.

Secretary was back today, thank goodness she tested negative for Covid. She still doesn't feel well but I was so grateful she came back because the phone was making me crazy the past two days.

I'm going to start the Feb. thread.
