A quick question... I synced fitbit to mfp and the food I log on MFP shows up in fitbit but my exercise that fitbit logs isn't showing up in MFP. Does anyone else have this problem?
It's not that big of a deal but it just doesnt show that I'm under when I close out.0 -

@brandi_84 Do you get no exercise calories added back at all? It's an inexact science...I have my Fitbit tied to my Peloton and this morning I burned 168 calories (according to both FB and Peloton) but only 63 showed up in my diary as exercise calories. Not sure where it got that number. 🤷♀️ LOL But it's OK since I try not eat them back, or only a portion. My measuring is non-existent, I eyeball / guesstimate everything so hope that my exercise covers any errors.
I also don't close out my diary. I got tired of it telling me that i would reach my goal in about 5 weeks. It did that for several months. Got frustrating so I stopped.
Long winded way to say no, I don't have that problem. 🤣🤣0 -

I used to have this problem with my Garmin. The only thing that worked was removing the connection and re-pairing via the Garmin app. Not sure if that would work for FitBit, but it's worth a shot.

Hey Brandi! This happened for me when I switched devices. First, you'll want to make sure your device is connected. Then you'll want to make sure that MFP is using Fitbit as the primary source to account for your steps. I took a screenshot how you do that. If its still not reading your activity I would "disconnect and reconnect your device" then make sure you choose Fitbit as your activity source.

Making some new recipes and they are high in calories! I have to alter them to make them lower cals. Scared I may gain this week because of them. For both new recipes, I ate before calculating how much calories there were, kept forgetting 🙃
@BlissfulK I hear that! I made some jambalaya this week and was shocked to see it was 460 calories per serving! 😯 BUT we had it for dinner on Thursday and lunch yesterday and I froze a big container and STILL have some left! I'm thinking there's way more than the 8 servings the recipe claimed.3 -

I think the major offender for our recipes is “rice”. I don’t eat rice and have not been using rice flour. I wanted to use up the remainder rice flour bought from awhile ago. The lasagna made used sheets made of rice flour blend and used rice flour for pizza crust. Also vegan cheese is high calories, and didn’t check calories until afterwards. I was trying to use it up before it expired, lol. I was way too generous with vegan cheese in both recipes. I’m gluten free and vegan and make up a lot of recipes since there’s not many recipes that incorporate both lifestyles and the ingredients I like to use. I have learned to say no to rice while losing weight and check calories of entire recipe before making and eating! Lol2
