Had another surgery follow-up appointment today with my favorite PA in the whole world. Seriously, she's amazing! My wife has met her a couple times and totally agrees. )
Long story short, her words were.....verbatim...."You are doing SOOO great, but SETTLE DOWN, SPARKY!" She told me to wait a couple more months before I stomp on the exercise gas pedal. The biking I've been doing is good, but she wants me to cut down plus add some more casual-speed walks. Apply ice more often and take a couple rest days every week. Honestly, I'm not sure I know how to hit the brakes, but I'm going to have to learn I suppose. I've dropped my monthly goal down to 110, leaving 39 miles for the rest of the month. That should take some pressure off. *shrug*

Dave,
I know many a runner that has been recovering from injuries and surgeries and over did it, myself included. I pushed to do my sprint triathlon after knee surgery all because I had paid to do it. A friend shared this with me years ago. “Be patient now so you don’t end up being a patient later.” It is so true.

Hi there. I'm in California checking on mom, and I have found it extremely difficult to fit in any organized exercise. I am moving, but not in a way I can quantify. Oh well. I guess I'll have to step on the gas and catch up when I get home.
@Dave - definitely take your foot off the gas!2 -

Did not file yesterday’s Mike due to a rather precautious fall late yesterday while cutting my front lawn. I slide down the hill in my garden sloggers and ended up with me sitting on my left leg under me. Of course it had to be the bad knee. Anyway, sore knee, ankle, wrist and shoulder, will hopefully get a few easy miles in today to walk off the soreness.
Ps Janet: mom time is more important than me time.
