@LindieMaeP -aw man I didn't realize how bad the medical field could be. Here (NW New Jersey) no shortage. If you call wanting an appt they sometimes try to get you in that week-even if you don't want it til mid next month (like due to insurance). yup flu shot I did in September, covid vaccine over the summer. thx for update on mfp. i probably won't be on here b/c of my eye appt.3 -
Hello all. I hope you had a great weekend, and to my friends that were not feeling better or is having problems; I hope all is going well and better. Yesterday I took a day off using the computer. I am glad I did and I think I need to do that more often. After my MRI tomorrow I am taking in my computer to be checked. Hopefully they won't need it for a while. LOL.

HI ALL!! CRAZY and very tiring day!! I took a friend to the Dr's while she was in there I vacuumed most of the car. It looks so GOOD!! Just a little bit left to do. After that we went to DREADMART (Walmart) it took an hour why that much time went by we have NO clue, but it did. After that we went to a furniture store, thankfully someone waited on her fast, well they got her right off. She knew what she wanted, it was in stock. So that was only about 20 mins, for the most part I walked around there. Once home hey IT'S LANDING DAY for the Positively Strong 4 Life team, LOL so we were working on that. I had several texts and calls from friends, family too. Indeed I am exhausted. I know you'll understand. I'll be back tomorrow and catch on up!! TY TY TY TY for being here, it's so much fun talking to you all!2

I hope you morning is going well. My BF and I got up a half hour before our alarms today. That is weird that we are syncing up and getting up early. We both end up being wide awake before the alarm goes off now. It is so nice to have someone who gets up like I do. I have to get up first thing in the morning and get stuff done and so does he. He is like that too. My birthday is coming up. It is the 23rd of this month. So this coming Sunday. I will be 43. I know my boyfriend has something planned I just don't know what. So I am excited because I have never had anyone plan anything for me besides my kids. I have never had a significant other who wanted to plan something for my birthday. It is nice having someone who cares.
@cormierannie - You are always helping people. You are so nice. I am sure your friends appreciate all your help.
@Kurtize - I hope everything goes well with your MRI and your computer check up

I'm enjoying all the comments. Diane, you know how to make everyone (including moi feel so special). Tabatha, the home I grew up in had beautiful floors hidden under the rug. I recall mom polishing them and I was put on a blanket, pulled across the floor for the buffing.
I wanted to share these two photos. The color of the maple was incredible and it is so sad to see the leaves falling away.

Mri done waiting for Dr to go over report. I did get a copy most of it I don't understand, although there is a problem but exactly what the Dr will have to explain. Computer in shop for repair so working on phone which is about to dir, need to charge it blessings all4

@Novembergail,, I wonder why so many hid their GORGEOUS Floors with rugs? But, LOL When I was a kid I saw some of my friends grandparents houses with PLASTIC on the furniture!! I did not, do not understand that. What were they waiting for? A SPECIAL Day? Every day like all of us, are special. COOL Picture of the tree!! @cormierannie - You know I know rain is needed but rain is so annoying. I need to get dry weather.
@NovemberGail - I just love hard wood floors. I want them in every room of the house. Might not be possible. I love the fall colors.
@Kurtize - Glad you got the MRI and you will figure it all out. Hope the computer gets fixed soon.
@Dianedoessmiles1 - It is great. So if I am wide awake and tossing and turning he will also be wide awake. It is nice to know I am loved. This is the first boyfriend who ever planned any thing. Love the beautiful photo.

Good morning We are finally going to get rain by Friday and will rain for about a week, but I hope it is not torrential downpour as that will add to the possiblity of flooding as the ground is very parched and the trees are very dry as well. We will just have to wait and see what happens. Our water supply is also dangerously low since we are in a stage 5 drought but the rains should help some what.
@Tabatha_Cain, I hope you are not too too cold, and you have a good sweater you can weare to keep you warm. I am hot all the time so cold does not bother me unless it is to go to the bathroom, then I want hot lolololol
@Dianedoessmiles1 that is a nice picture - the meeting last night was awesome especially the part on "Love is Patient and Kind" as well as the congregation bible study lesson 23 - oh what a treat !! I hope you are not making yourself so busy you are ill later, so do pace yourself as best you can. I saw your 25% badge you created for yourself, well done eh !! I get my new scale tomorrow and will see what my real weight is on the next day as I will do what I have to, to prepare it for weigh in. I am excited !! to say the least
@Kurtize I am excited for you to get the answers you need to your issues and hope those answers are something that can be addressed with pt or exercise and not surgery !! Let us know when you can eh? It's good to take a break from computers - I do that often, but not often enough !!

Good afternoon 😊 all. Patty glad Allis well. We have laminate floors, had them in last 3 houses. Would never go back to carpet. It's been cooler here too but not as cold as where you are macrat, 46 in am around mid 60s now

Good evening, all!
Tomorrow's word is COURAGE. I needed that today when my crazy dog decided to run in front of the mule. I was clocking her at 13 mph when she decided to run in front of me. In my panic I hit the gas harder. My heart was in my stomach. Well, now I know she can probably get up to 15 mph and my lifespan has been shortened. The song that ran through my head after I calmed down was The Rolling Stones, 19th Nervous Breakdown. Billie is going to give me more than that!

@Patti241 ,, that's GREAT!! What's your weather doing? Tonight getting down to 38, inland (15-20 miles in) they've been in the 30's for a bit, but we are always warmer, just right along the water even more so.

@Lindiemaep,,, I hope you get a slow rain over the week, that'll help you out so much. We were in a category 4 drought, but since the middle of Sept we've had 14 INCHES of rain, and are now prone to flooding when it rains out. YO!! We got it ALL SO FAST!! Now you know and I KNOW that makes HOPE the WINTER will be very snowy!! Hey I can HOPE!! Meeting last night was GREAT!! I was tired from the Dr's office at 6 (Meeting is at 6:30) we were only a few minutes late, we both were on ZOOM at our own places. It's nice we live so close to each other!! Awww @Catwmncat would love to hear she did so good on the 25% of my way towards 5% Badge. She makes them so well. Oh Linda you should see the SPOTLIGHT NOW!! LOL Some of us have learned how to do VIDEO's. That's just fun also!! YOU ARE MISSED!! Are you happy back with your old team from Sparks?
@Bookienj ,, Oh I like and DREAD busy days now. If my health were better I'd pack all days as much as I could. Today I had my GGS for 2 hours he's so foolishly cute!! Almost the moment he left ,, my friends showed up, I made us lunch (homemade chicken nuggets and homemade spicy fries) we played cribbage. THE QUEEN CONTINUES TO REIN!! LOL I wanted my friend Lynda to win, but I had told her "You'll need to EARN THIS!" After that was the council meeting and after a bunch of us sat around and chatted for the fun of it. Hence I am here quite late, I had come home and CRASHED!! I do take care of myself, I KNEW I needed that first.
@Kurtize ,, WOOHOO on the computer being fixed!! How are you feeling? Hardwood floors are GORGEOUS!! Colder in the winter. I face the north and west. When a snowstorm hits us in the winter from the west, OH MA DOES IT GET SO COLD!!! SO COLD!!! I've learned to turn the heat up higher than normal 8 to 12 hours before a storm hits from the west.
@Novembergail,, LOLOLOL I AM SO SORRY BUT, Billie,, OH BILLIE!! Your stories dearest Billie are becoming more. For your POOR MOM her life is shorter, but golly she has A TON OF BILLIE STORIES!!! As you can see I had my GGS today (he didn't have school today) who's 5. Izzy kitty cat is STILL SO JEALOUS Of him!! We had gone for a walk, I WORE HIM out having him run and run and run circles around me. LOL I do this on purpose of course. We came back in, all he wanted to do was climb up on my lap to watch the computer. Izzy at ONCE ALSO had to climb up. I was laughing Izzy is on my A LOT, but when she saw him ON HER LAP well that did NOT FIT WELL!! Of course once she was up, she ALSO wanted HIS FULL attention. He did pat her for a tiny bit, she fell asleep.

I hope you are all doing well this morning. Today is going to be a great day. I am packing to go to my boyfriend's parents again this weekend. It is my birthday weekend. I will be 43 on Sunday. I cannot wait to see what my boyfriend is doing for this weekend. He just says we are having Birthday dinner on Friday. So we will see. He swears he has nothing else planned. I am just glad to be away from the house for a weekend.
@cormierannie - It was windy yesterday here too. Not super rainy though. It was a decent day,
@LindieMaeP - I brought a little space heater to work to keep warm and it was actually comfortable while I was working. One of the co workers brought a larger space heater and it warmed the whole office up a bit in combination of all the other heaters.
@bookieNJ - I cannot stand to sit there and do nothing. I have to be doing something.
@Kurtize - Yay on the computer being fixed. That was pretty fast.
@NovemberGail - Oh Wow. I hope you and the dog are ok. That is very nerving and scary.
@Dianedoessmiles1 - Nope did not get to go home. They allowed us to bring in space heaters though. I am so glad you get to spend time with your GGS. Those days are always great I am sure.

Good morning all, I slept in an extra 30 minutes today. I have been so tired lately. Not sleeping well at all. My acid reflux is really bad. Was at the doctor on Tuesday. She changed my meds around. I'm now off one and going to try another. I did get my steps in yesterday and drank all my water.

@Dianedoessmiles1 ahhh sweet pic of ggs and kitten too ! Treasure those pictures - I do mine of me and Charise ( i pronounced as long e) now she is making me jewelry and I am enjoying wearing them !!
The polar bears come in different colours and the day of the family picnic my daughter was wearing one that changes colour by heat! was interesting and so cute. They have their first craft show next month - an Xmas one - so they are making lots of jewelry and stuff to sell there.
@NovemberGail courage is a good word to do, we all need courage to change our lifestyle to a healthy one, to do things we never thought we could do, like change our lifestyle to a healthy one and to help us accomplish things in these difficult days. Thanks and I hope Billie is too tuckered to get into mischief today !!!
@majork29 I can so relate to reflux keeping one awake, I get terrible reflux from certain foods and when I get an inkling that it is acting up, that good old gavasgone comes out and does it's job. A friend of mine had it bad as well and their doctor suggested that the head of the bed be raised and on a slant to help with the reflux, not having an adjustable bed, her husband put it on blocks to help her. I thought, Ingeneous ! I need my foot end of bed to be raised for swelling LOL I hope the meds help, but also hope you are able to track down what gives you the acid reflux to begin with. I found when I iliminated the foods that gave it to me, I managed much better. Course not all is from food. Anxiety and stress can cause reflux issues too. I hope you have a better night's sleep tonight.

Good afternoon all, hope your day is going well. Picked up my computer this morning, it is working great, what a difference. Heard from my doctor, since there is severe spinal stenosis he is referring me to a neurosurgery specialist. So now just waiting for that appt.
It is 78 right now, very nice, in 50's this morning. I like this weather. Have a great rest of the day, hugs and blessing. Patti glad your doing great.

ANOTHER Billie Story~ I was out in the woods getting rid of some small stumps with a miniature chainsaw. Billie was running around like usual. She comes running through the woods with a buck after her. His head was down and I could see one antler had three points. Naturally, she's bringing him to me. I am on the ground and thinking, what do I do? I raised the small chainsaw and let it run. The buck looked up, like, 'What' and took off running the other way. She keeps me young or I will die early. Blame it on Billie.

@Tabatha_Cain ,,, Awwww ENJOY being away for the weekend and with your family(his is yours!). SWEET may you all enjoy a ton of laughter and fun. Glad you all got to bring in space heaters!! Oh that reminds me, LOL I have one I am not using, why put it for sale cheap!! I'll do it for half the price, though it's never been used. Where I live they have a very specific one we can only use, and they provided it so why not!? High rises and fires are never good! Though every unit has a nice sprinkler system.

@majork29 ,,, I did acupuncture which my insurance did cover since it was done by a MD . It was billed as an office visit (I went many times) I did have to pay for the needles (15 to 20 now) ONLY so I was thrilled!! It took CARE of the acid reflux. I also had it to help with sleep and pain. It DID break my pain cycle!! It broke the pain cycle so well my own Dr went into the field also! She was so happy watching patients who had been on pain meds for years (I was one of them) go to needing NONE and resuming life. It was so cool!! I'm not sure if you live in an area where this may be available, it's largely still UNKNOWN here it's available because so many want it, it's not talked about. Though of course those of us who have benefited sure do let others know. I have a few friends who have also gone and have the same results. At first I could not eat anything spicy , have chocolate, etc. the normal for acid reflux, but now? ANYTHING I want as long as I do not do chocolate 4 hours before bed. I've stopped craving it. Before that if I used a wedge pillow it helped with the acid reflux. I DO sleep much better, though now I am in heart failure so I am up some nights 2 times, other nights 4 times due to the pee pills.

@LindiemaeP ,,,Awww I want a video of you dancing in the rain!! When/if you come back to the PS4L team you'll see LOL for the Spotlight some of us are making videos. I HAVE NO DOUBT you can teach stuff about that!! SO COOL how you are with computers etc. My GD also makes jewelry too! This time of year yes her sales are sky high too!! Hope Charise, does very well. Have you tried a wedge pillow for your acid reflux? Above I had talked about what helped me to GET RID of mine.
@Kurtize, what is spinal stenosis? I found out on my Monday my osteoporosis T Score is -3.4 equivalent to that of an 85 year old woman. YO!! I hope the neurosurgeon can help you!! OUCH!!!
@novembergail,, LOL by the end of yesterday I crashed, last night I slept very well. Today ALL I did was go grocery shopping which was only 40 mins in total including the walking down (that took about 15 mins total of going down and back). So yes I didn't pick up much though I did a 24 pack of water, those aren't light, but still slightly doable. When I can't any longer where I shop they'll help me out. Awww when I get home, I'll just cut open the package and put them away bit by bit. Awww Izzy is such a gentle sweet little thing. She's on my lap as I type away, LOL so well she didn't get my LAP part but, she also likes sleeping on my legs, and I allow that.
HAHAHAHA OH BILLIE! OH BILLIE!! LOLOLOLOL OH BILLIE GAL!! WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOU??? LOLOLOL If a book were written about her, NO doubt it'd be a best seller!!3 -

I hope all is going well for everyone this morning. Today is the start of my Birthday weekend and I have officially been at my job a month today. I am super excited about it. I am hoping that I get all my stuff about my dental and vision insurance as well as the life insurance that I am going to purchase from Farmers. I really want to get some stuff taken care of. I need the dental and vision insurance for sure.
@majork29 - Glad you are getting your doc to switch your meds to something that will hopefully work for you. Yay on getting your steps in.
@cormierannie - I love going for jogs. It is really nice. It burns up some energy that I need burned up
@LindieMaeP - Love the cute jewelry. I have GERD so I take meds for acid reflux as well. So far my med has worked well for me. I do notice a difference if I miss a dose.
@Kurtize - Glad you have a diagnosis. Now you can see the specialist and get a course of action. That is great. Hope they don't take to long getting you in to see the specialist.
@NovemberGail - That Billie is always causing mischief. Such a cute dog though so it might be worth it.
@Dianedoessmiles1 - That is True. Fires are never a good thing. The heat has been fixed now as far as we can tell. Lets hope it stays that way. I did leave my little space heater there just in case.

Today is a PD Day fro my girl. So she will be home all day. I also have to take the kittens for there vet check and shots. Going to be a busy day. Weather wise it is going to be a nice day again today. But tomorrow we may have some snow. Today I will be pulling the last of my outdoor plants.
@LindieMaeP thanks for the advice on reflux. Mine is caused by long time use of medications for my ankyosing spondalitus, it's not food related, I so wish it was. Last night it was better. I got some sleep.
@Dianedoessmiles1 I tried accupencture a while ago for the reflux and pain management. It only offered minor relief so we disconitued it.3
