good morning everyone! it is a beautiful sunny day here today. it is going to be mild and mainly sunny weather for the next several days here. my daughter says hi to everyone! both budgie birds are doing well and say cheep, cheep! i did a strength training workout earlier this morning and i enjoyed it. i went for a walk a while ago and i feel great! i will be doing some dancing to 80s music later on. have a great day, everyone! take care and stay safe.1

Good morning everyone, I sure hope you all are enjoying your Friday and getting ready for your weekend too ! We FINALLY have ☂️🌧️☂️🌧️😁so I am happy about that, I just hope it is a slow and steady rain and not hard and heavy as the ground and trees would not be able to handle it, right now it looks more like a drizzle, and that is good.
@Tabatha_Cain, glad you got heat back on in the building and good move to leave the space heater there just in case - enjoy your weekend and have a lot of fun !!
@Dianedoessmiles1 I find 2 things will trigger my acid reflux, eating too late at night and constipation. I have not had that problem for a while so it just happens once in a while now. One issue I am having still is with my left hip flexor, any suggestions? Nothing seems to be helping. Of course the right leg issue is still the same, the thigh still goes numb after 10 minutes. Last night at the river had to sit because it went numb, but I got good shots of things !! This weekend I am working on lowering my bed, I will see if the wheels can come off the bed frame, if not, I will just remove the frame completely and just have the box spring and mattrice - it is getting hard and harder to get into bed LOL the joys of being short. Amigo loves this bed and that will help him as well. Plus I want to move a recliner in my room so I can sit in it and recline while watching the convention music videos at jwlibrary. So some change coming this weekend for sure, will be busy, rain or no rain and NO I am NOT dancing in a cold rain LOL

@majork29 thank you for explaining your situation. I looked it up, wow, that is not fun at all. I hope the new meds do work for you and not have an impact somewhere else ! Glad you got some sleep last night, I did not want to get out of bed today LOL

@Patti241 ... I THINK the local news said some areas of Maine will hit 70 Saturday, I did burst out laughing. ARE ALL Weather persons so HOPEFUL daily of "Breaking a record"? Are they all so HAPPY when a storm hits? Ever since 1998 when they had forecasted a storm, but it wasn't going to be a bad one. It was in January, but the storm suddenly over New England turned into a super storm. We had the worse ice storm on record. Most of the New England states had no electricity. Our area was also hit very hard. When entire cities are suddenly without power in the dead of winter, that's never good. I DID keep mine where I lived, but i was one of the few. Hence soon after that most high rises in the city here put in generators so we'd at least have heat.
@Majork29,, Awwww kittens!!??? I keep looking at them on the local shelter page, they are so CUTE!! SOVERY CUTE!! I do not think AT ALL Izzy would be impressed if I brought any home. She's been the only kitty for 11 years, that'd not be fair. Awwww she's such a lovely cat so I do not mind. How did they do at the vets? Medications can absolutely wreck havoc with our bodies!! So sorry you go through a lot.

@Lindiemaep ,,, WOOHOO on the rain!! ENJOY it!!! Sometimes it's just nice to be inside and warm. Okay I GOTTA Ask, how tall are you? I am 5'2.25" LOL Hey every bit helps!!! I WAS 5'4 1/2" but that's gone!! These 2 guys are so AWESOME in helping out with pain!! They're on youtube so it's FREE to boot and we can do them at home!! Instead of giving you one of their exercise, here's the page of suggestions so you can tailor it to what you need. I often first watch the "Why the pain in __" then I'll watch the how to untighten the muscles, ligaments etc. HUGE help for so many things I go through.

@majork29 - Have you seen a dr about your heart burn. I also have severe heartburn, not as much as at first because I am on medication. I started with it in the 90's by 2004 it had turned into Barrettes Syndrome, one step from cancer of esophagus. Heart burn isn't something to fool with. I feel for you.

Good Evening Everyone!
I know I haven't been around in awhile. Life has been crazy and beyond. Monday after work my sister called, my son had one of what we will call his episodes. So rushed down there to help deal with it and bring him back to my house. He went home on Wednesday night. Still had to work this week as well. Wednesday night after work I had a break down at my friend's and Hubby had to come get me. Thursday morning I woke up and cried until Hubby made me get dressed and go with him to the eye doctor so I wasn't home alone. He then took me to a couple stores just to keep me distracted. On our way home we stopped at McDonald's as I had not eaten probably in days and he just wanted me to eat. I struggled through the dinner shift at work and probably shouldn't have gone in but couldn't be at home thinking either. Today was pay day so that was good. They still owe me for Saturday when I got called in so it will be on my next check. I did some errands after visiting with my son's aunt from his dad's side. Today's food choices were very unhealthy but that's ok. Back on track tomorrow. Not sure how often I will be checking in but I will try to be in more often as things calm back down.

@Cseguin2 ,, Oh hon it's not easy that's for sure. I am so sorry things are at this point out of some control. I hope S is better and able to do what he needs so things are better for him. As a Mom anytime the kids (In my case A stand in Mom) are not doing well, it affects also sometimes in an unhealthy manner. Do what you can, because right now its WAY MORE important hon you take care of you!! I am glad you finally got paid though!! We care.3

Good morning all it is still dark here, only 6:30AM. I am up. Didn't sleep that well again last night. Acide reflux is bad. Doctor told me that changing my meds up and adding another med for the reflux will take a bit of time to change things.
The kittens did really well at their 1 year checkup and vacinations.3 -
The only thing that took care of my acid reflux was losing the weight. I was shocked when the acid reflux disappeared and made the connection. It definitely has been an added incentive for me not to gain weight. (I realize that this isn't the case for everyone. I thought I would post it as a added incentive to weight loss). You never know the beauty around the next bend!

@Patti241 ,,, At times like most areas we get hit. It's enough to take down electricity at times, but it's rare we have damage such as a tornado. They are so small here it's usually the lake areas. Now snow? LOL That's never a bad thing (Unless the roof caves in, but all of us know what to do so that does NOT happen!). We have a flat roof, but it gets shoveled during the winter as needed. NOT by any of us who live here, LOL not in a 55+ though I am sure a few would love to go up there!!
@Majork29 ,, when my acid reflux was really at it's peak (HORRIBLE STUFF!) I'd sleep in my recliner. I didn't sleep as deeply, but it was easier. Awwwww glad the kittens did well. SWEET!!

Good Evening Everyone!
Thank you all for your support. Unfortunately it takes time to get all the help in place for my Son. But we have made progress today. I feel like we are all more on the same page. On to the next steps soon.
This morning my self-care was sleeping till 10 am. So most of my morning plans have been moved to tomorrow. Also have other things that need to get done. So may have to alter my plan again. I am just glad to being feeling better after our appointment today. I hope tomorrow morning I will feel more normal now that it's more out in the open.1 -
Trip for the weekend gets cancelled...had hoped that the effects of the flu shot were done with me..wrong! So another day of feeling like a plucked turkey that got hit by a bus! Not a good feeling, but they say a strong reaction means you are building good immunity. Well I oughta be good once I quit feelin bad..heee hee.
Wind is roaring and clouds rolling in..no moisture in forecast for us..but they say the high mtns should get maybe a foot or more. Tomorrow we are to get gale force winds so batten down the hatches !!
The crew should be getting here late tonight or tomorrow sometime. The end of quiet days and nights..and the return of fun times with puppy ..so there's always a trade off aye!

@Cseguin2 ,, I am glad things are out in the open so you can all get the help he needs. SURE DO WISH things moved along faster, but we can't change all that's going on. More and more people are entering various systems for help, and the workers just are not there. Hopefully though he'll be able to quickly. It does make it so much easier when everyone involved including your dear S are on the same page.
@Katiecondy1 , HI Katie!! Hopefully tomorrow you'll feel much better. I had the flu shot a few weeks with no issues. A week from Monday I am scheduled for the 3rd booster shot. I'd not bother but with winter coming, and being inside more, probably around others at times, it seems to be the wise thing. The flu is horrible this year, glad I've gotten mine! HANG ONTO YOUR HAT!! YO!!! Snow the high mountains sounds right hopefully this year you'll get enough so water isn't short next summer. Awww PUPPY Kisses!3 -
Katie, so sorry to hear that the vaccine has given you so much trouble. Everyone reacts so differently. On Tuesday, I'll let you know how the Omicron vaccine does. The flu shot wasn't noticeable. The winds are up in this area, too. I didn't go very deep into the woods in case a tree or big branch goes flying. We are finally going to get rain Tuesday/Wednesday and we need it, too.
Diane, you wouldn't catch me on a roof to clear off snow. I'm glad that they don't make the residents help. It would be really tricky for those using walkers. I liked your note about the promise of a steak. My team is using donut incentives that is working quite well:). You might have to up the ante and we'll have a bidding war going on.

Meet Farley
Farley and I are going to be walking a lot around the neighbourhood this fall. He was born on August 22, 2022. He is very calm and sociable. He had a great first night away from his mom, and siblings. My daughter is in love with him. He is a mixed breed. Mom is a Bernese Mountain Dog/Irish Setter, dad who we didn't meet as he lives down the road is a Saint Bernard mix. We know he is going to be a big puppy.

Good afternoon everyone, I just love the puppy gif's they are great !!! I am wearing my paw print earrings today - the purple ones! Amigo the cat is resting on the bed, he was in the lazygurl chair but I moved him as he has claws right now and I do NOT want the leather material breached by sharp claws... lol

@Patti241, Earlier today I was cold, now it's hot in here. It's so hard to find that purrrfect balance! Sunset now is at 5:45. Just think in only 2 weeks it'll be around 4:30 ish.
@Majork29 ,, OH MY OH MY!!! How VERY ADOGABLE is Farley!!! SO SWEET!! Such a very cutie!! ENJOY as I KNOW You will!!! Awwwwww makes me want a PUPPY!!! But, I live on the 3rd floor, and I can't as fast as a puppy needs for potty time. AND LOL Izzy gets so jealous when I even have my GGS! Izzy saw my GGS on my lap and UP SHE HAD to come immediately! Thankfully at 5 he knows to be very gentle with her and she with him. He's getting so big so fast! ENJOY Farley cause like kids, puppies grow super fast!! No doubt he'll be a good size dog, awwwwww. COOL!
@Kurtize,, were you able to relax? I went to meeting this AM, got home about 12. I was resting when a friend stopped by. We went to another friends place who has moved in here to visit her. It's been a very busy day with friends, but ya can't go wrong with that!! Oh my GD called too.

@Novembergail,,, LOL We used to sit there TRYING to be quiet when we knew Disney was almost over, hoping Mom hadn't noticed, so we'd not have to go to bed. Then of course she'd say so and we all responded with "THEMES ARE COMING ON!" for the next week. LOL Every week the same thing. Cracks me up. NOW That I am older and having of helped with my GD and the other 3 were over most weekends to, I KNOW the clock watching thing myself!! LOLOL Hey we knew we HAD TO UP the ANTE!! I think I am getting back to normal again. Got up at my usual time and didn't go back to bed. Made chili and did dishes instead. Also did laundry and went shopping at the mall. Got several more uniform tips and a few pants, also found some accessories for my Halloween costume for Tuesday at TOPS.1 -

Amigo really likes the recliner, however, he started kneeding it with his claws!! Moved him to his blanket to kneed away. He is sound asleep, the only time his tail is still!! Leather is not that easy to repair, or cheap either!!
