@trooworld thanks so much for the link! I’ve bookmarked it. :)

How are we doing everyone? I’m finding this week the trickiest to keep up momentum. I’m going to commit to getting on my bike for 30 minutes today. It’s been a busy week and I e neglected my physical activity for sure.

    Have a great day!

@Cornanda Oh, thank you! I will try to do that. Thank you, awww! Oh gosh, it's hard to get the bats back in the cage after 5 days, but you can do it. Just shove 'em back in there! I believe in you!

@FushiaKat Oh gosh, that stinks that you drove all that way and fasted too. :( Well, at least it wasn't a total loss. Good luck today!

@Katmary71 Thank you, me too! It all adds up. :) I'm so sorry about your terrible night. Good idea to do Walmart pickup. I hope today is better for you.

@GabiV125 That sounds painful! I'm glad it wasn't broken.

@megnolia82 Great idea to commit to 30 mins a day of biking. You can do this.

Hi all. I had another pretty good day. I did more walking several times yesterday and ended up changing my step goal up to 7,000 steps. I beat that yesterday. I know it isn't 10,000 steps but it's pretty good for me since I have a sedentary job. Eating was pretty good, not perfect, but pretty good. Have a great day!

FALL CHALLENGE CHECK-IN: I drank enough water and I did some box breathing yesterday.

I forgot to say: TODAY is the beginning of Fall which means today is the end of the Fall Challenge! For those that participated, how did you do? Are you proud of your efforts? Need to keep it up? I am proud of my efforts. It was rocky for a while but I finished strong! I hope you did, too!

Just doing a super quick checkin. My daughter and son-in-law bought a house Sunday night, my son-in-law left for a business trip Monday morning. Grandkids are still sick so couldn’t go to school so they have been with me during the day as my daughter has been trying to do the paper work and declutter/clean their house and g et it ready to go in the market next week🥹. Kiddos are back in school this morning so I am standing in line for spin. Eating has been ok/so-so this week, exercise, not the best. By the time the kids leave after supper this grandma is tired🤣
There is a reason we have kids when we are young😁.
Hope everyone is having a great week!!

@katmary71 Those drums are cool and so soothing! :)

@trooworld I think I did OK on the fall challenge but definitely need to do a whole lot better! Tomorrow starts a 100-day countdown to New Year's Day. I’m thinking of printing out something to try to keep me mindful to behave most days and just because we are going into the holiday season doesn’t mean that I need to eat every day. :p

@Cornanda, girl get those bats back in their cage!! AND stop sending them to my house! :D

@FushiaKat Good visual on using the giant flyswatter on those pesky bats. Bummer about not getting the day right for your CT scan, but maybe the extra fasting will help you with weight loss this week. :)

Hi Team! It’s been a busy couple of days. Yesterday, Joe and I had our first visit with a neurologist and we both really liked him and his nurse. He has ordered an MRI and EEG for Joe and wants him to do speech, occupational, and physical therapy. He also put him on a med that is supposed to help people with dementia. Praying it works and that there won’t be any weird side effects. Today, we counted that Joe has five doctors all taking care of different parts of his body. Thank God that his Medicare and supplemental insurance are taking care of us. I’m hoping for a small loss this week but not holding my breath. It seems the bats have flown over to my house and I need to go get a fly swatter of my own. ;)

@laurelfit57 Congrats to your daughter and son-in-law, how exciting! Sounds like you have been busy.

@TeresaW1020 I hear you. I would start a new challenge but the old one just ended so I was thinking maybe people needed a break lol. You are right, it's not necessary to eat all that every day lol. I'm glad that you both like the neurologist. That's good they have something to help with dementia. I hope it helps. ((( SKINNY VIBES ))) for your weigh-in!

@Tamevv Great job! Congrats on the loss.

Hi all. I am just doing a quick check-in. I quit WW and am doing an app called "Healthi" that I think @Vegan4lyfe2012 is doing too. I really like it so far. I decided since I no longer will be going to the meetings and weighing in on Saturday mornings, I will weigh in on Fridays now. We'll see how that goes.

Random info sought and I’ll be back to update on fitness matters soon!!!!

Where can I fly to in the US (from Dallas) fairly cheap and have easy access to some fun things to do!? (Besides Vegas) I have a free airline ticket I need to redeem before the end of Sept. The trip can be anytime just need to book it soon. Instead of planning a big trip I was thinking maybe I could just have a quick runaway for myself ☺️

@Cornanda Since you're feeling lousy today keep in mind a day or two of eating on track, while hard, will usually be enough to get you feeling better again. I usually feel so bad after birthday dinners and dessert that I stick to it the next day as I just want to feel better. It's easier to tough out wanting more calories or munching like I did the day before when it means I know I'll be doing a little better the next day. And yes you CAN do it Lisa!

@GabiV125 Oh no, your poor daughter! I'm glad it's not broken, sounds like a long night.

@megnolia82 What about 30 min until Sept 30? That may help if you make it a challenge or goal like that, I can usually trick myself with things like that to keep things fresh as I'm competitive (at least against myself).

@trooworld Heck yeah, you're doing awesome! Sometimes especially when dealing with depression it's hard to imagine ever being back on track again (that's how I feel), I'm glad you've turned things around fairly fast. As for the fall challenge I kept up meditation but made it the hang drums in the tub and/or at night, I basically just need to slow down and relax more and that does it for me. I did start upping weights again but it's real slow. Yes I'll keep doing both, I have to have meditation as some type of goal/challenge or I throw the mellow stuff to the side but it does ground me and I need that. Will you keep it up? Hm, now we have to think of a Halloween challenge, something that slightly scares us since it's Halloween but not TOO scary or we won't do it?

@laurelfit57 That's exciting about the house, congratulations to them! Hope spin went well!

@TeresaW1020 I'm so glad Joe's neurologist is so proactive, that's wonderful he's getting him in for testing and therapies, I think that will be great for him. I hope the medication makes a big difference as well. I'm sure both of you are feeling like your whole life is doctor's appointments, mine literally was for a long time and it's pretty frustrating! I'm laughing at the bat jokes because I actually do have bats in the oak tree over my bedroom, you hear them at night and I see them when I water the garden at dusk, I'll make sure not to send them to any of you!

@Tamevv Great job on the workouts this week!

@Shaunarlr83 Good question, I don' travel too often so I'm not sure, what kind of things are you thinking of doing? Like hiking or hitting casinos or nice restaurants? There's a lot to do in Northern CA but restaurants are more expensive now of course. Even if you wanted to do things like the beach hotels would still vary in cost. I love the Tahoe area and you would adore the hiking there but rooms and food wouldn't be cheap though eating at casinos should be competitive. You'd have to fly in Reno or Sacramento too so a car rental would be needed. If you did do that you could fly in Sacramento and stop at Apple Hill, they have pumpkin and apple celebrations going on now, I'm hoping to finally get there this year. I can send you a bunch of links if that's something you're interested in.

Hi gang! I worked out then did some stuff around here and met my parents at Panera and had my autumn squash soup, I definitely need to make the copycat recipe again. I spent some time in the yard and straightened up around here and now I'm going to read for awhile. Bill's on the way, he left after work and will be here for the weekend to help with Bow Wow Days then we're going out to dinner for my early birthday celebration. Hope you all have a wonderful Friday and weekend, I'll try to pop in and say hi. Keep being awesome!

I did the challenge for about 3 days then quit and forgot all about it. I think it's time to sit down with my journal and plan how to get going in the right direction. Would like to end the year with a loss, but I've got my work cut out for me.

Kept bats contained yesterday. Going to do it again today.

@TeresaW1020 - sorry that some of them have flown your way!

    Happy Friday!

@shaunarlr83 Oh gosh, I would think maybe somewhere in North Carolina or maybe Myrtle Beach in South Carolina? I don't know, I don't travel too often. That's great that you have a free ticket!

@Katmary71 Thank you and yes, you are right about depression, it's hard to "see the other side". I'm glad you were able to find a way to relax. Will I keep it up? I hope to, like you, I changed up what I was doing a bit. I was planning on actual meditation but like you, I just needed to relax so I did deep breathing and that helped. I think I will keep it up. Yes, a Halloween challenge...that's a good idea! One until Halloween or one from Halloween? Autumn squash soup sounds yummy, I am tempted to go to Trader Joe's for some of the fall items but I'm afraid for my budget and my waistline lol. I hope Bow Wow Days goes well, that sounds like fun! Happy early birthday, we are celebrating my birthday this weekend as well!

    @davidji82 Congrats on the loss!

@Cornanda That's great you were able to contain the bats yesterday. Here's to a good day today, too!

Hi all. I am super happy with my 3.8 lb loss this week. It took a lot of effort, concentration and good thinking to get it. I tracked, I drank enough water, I did more intentional movement, and I resisted reaching for unhealthy snacks. Now, to repeat the effort! LOL

@trooworld Congrats on losing 3.8 lbs. this week! think to lose any amount of work takes effort, concentration, and good thinking. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again... if we want to lose weight we have to treat weight loss like a job. I think we all get complacent and just phone it in, but that will not get us the promotion we so badly want. Ha, see what I did there? ;)

@Cornanda I’ve got my fly swatter in hand...I hope you do too! <3 We have 100 days left this year. Let’s make it happen!! B)

@Katmary71 HaHa, yeah keep those bats away from me! I love Panera! <3 I hope you have a wonderful weekend with Bill. When is your B-day?

@shaunarl83 Go to the Smoky Mountains! Hubby and I going to Gatlinburg in mid-October for our anniversary. The fall leaves are supposed to be at their peak. You can walk around, shop, eat, and look at some amazing nature. I can’t wait! :)

Hello! I'm so excited that I don’t have to leave the house today or tomorrow. I’ve made a long list of to-dos and have been checking them off one by one. I do have a nice NSV to report. I just went and got a bowl of Cheese-its, which is NOT on my low-carb diet, by the way. ;) I was sitting here at my desk and remembered that I wanted to print off a 100-Day chart to help keep me more mindful for the rest of this year. I ate a few Cheese-its and then came to my senses and put them back in the box where they belong. I will now go have a nice cup of Pumpkin Spice coffee and get to crossing more things off my list. :)
