I’m very disappointed ☹️ By the gain. But the jump in my weight this month is a wake up call to do better… eat better … move more… pay attention.

November Week Five - Friday Weigh-in
Previous Weight: 174.4 lbs
Current Weight: 174 lbs
Loss to Date: 60 lbs
I feel like I've been in a state of reconstitution for a while. I've very clearly lost some of my stomach fat, although my weight hasn't dropped, and there's no sign of where new muscle may have been built. That said, I'm still lifting heavy things, and getting my heart rate up, and trying my absolute best to eat well. This season is always a little tricky to navigate, so it's just a matter of taking things, not one day at a time, but one decision at a time.
As for updates: I have a job interview today. If I am offered the role and accept it, my schedule may change drastically, which is something that scares me. I finally readjusted my routine to the breakup a month and a half ago, after readjusting to the move, after readjusting to cancelling my resistance training gym membership, after readjusting to cancelling my spin class membership... it's been a year. It's a good thing I can roll with the punches.6 -

This has been a crummy day eating wise. I have felt sorry for myself and emotionally ate all day. I know I can turn it around tomorrow but tonight is tough.5

I've been sick all week with a bad cold so wasn't able to exercise much. There was also a lot of travel - Rochester to St. Louis, and back, then Rochester to Rwanda. So now I'm jetlagged and sick. I wore a mask everywhere so as not to spread germs. I'm glad to be away from the winter weather of upstate NY and back to the tropics. Looking forward to more activity once I'm over the cold and jet lag.

This is my MFP weight chart since I joined 3 years ago, on 22 Nov 2019. These cov-virus years have been tough on my bod! I started at 75.5 kilos and had hoped to get trim....😏
Starting over 😄4 -

Hmmm. This is concerning. This week I have been non stop hungry. Maybe it isn't hungry...maybe it is upset and I need to work ony gerd. Dr suggested Canadian gaviscon which I've heard two things about 1) this stuff is awesome and 2) this stuff is the most disgusting thing known to man. I ordered some a few weeks ago and it came yesterday. Have not taken it. If it is stomach trouble, it might explain the lack of return to pre-holiday weight.
My dysfunctional vocal cords have been acting up. Cough wheeze any time I talk for more than 2 minutes if when I hiss under my breathe (when I'm irritated, this happens a lot, clearly I've been irritated recently). My 6 hour training Monday should be interesting. The only things that help is silence and hot tea/beverage. I called the ENT, who didn't think it required intervention on the 11th and he sent an antibiotic. A pretty ugly one which he also prescribed a probiotic with for each dose. Yay.

Rwanda! Wow. That is a big change from upstate. My sis-in-law is in Syracuse, but they love it. Hope you feel better soon.2 -

Between my monthly visitor and Thanksgiving, I ate more than usual. And have gained 2 pounds over the last few weeks. My goal for December is to lose 4.5 pounds so I can be 199.9 or less by January 1st5 -
The December Week 1 Challenge is ready to roll first thing Sunday. Let's start December with a strong week.

Could I please be excused from weighing in this week. I need a new battery in my scale. I thought I had the right size but I will have to go to the store. Thanks1

Hey everyone, I joined up in the summer but I got into a downer and am pulling myself back up again. Thanks for having me back 🤗 Wishing you all a super final month of the year 🥳
@melaniedscott I hope you start to feel better soon. It sounds like you need a relaxing break 🪷
@Zumba_Luvah I'm cheering you on towards your end of the year goal 🎉 Good luck, I'm sure you can do it!
@ljdanny My scale's battery also died last weekend - just as I was preparing to get back into the swing of things and join the group again 😄 Thankfully, I had spares.
@JessicaVRosati Get well soon 💐 Travelling can be very tiring and, when unwell, just a drag. Was that the country Rwanda you were visiting or is there a US place with the same name?
@rachelrjh & @shortmom5 You'll get back on track so don't beat yourself up over the gain. Now is a good time to make healthy decisions so that you can enjoy the festive season.
@pacsnc6 Well done 👏 your getting there!
@minstrelofsarcasm Good luck with the job 🍀 It sounds like you've had a fair few stressful things going on. Your system will settle soon enough.4 -
