Have had a rough few days. My granddaughter is starting to have night terrors or something, she is waking up between 1 and 2 screaming and doesn't want anything. Well she's not really awake, it's bizarre. I work in childcare, we have rsv and lice going around. We had to call a mom today to say her baby wasn't feeling well. Her childs Dr made us call 911 which was an overreaction. It freaked everyone out. Then I get home from work and my son was in a car accident and has totaled his car and the other person has no insurance. The cops said totally the lady's fault. My son is off getting his finger checked, thinks it might be broken. So I ate 2 cookies, when I have been doing so well. Sorry for the rant.5

I hope things work out well for you and for your family.
My son was going through something like your grandkid - nothing would work. I think, in the end, just asking "Do you want a hug?" was able to get him out of that weird place between sleep and being awake. (Or something like that, on the surface unrelated, as if it was redirecting him and his unconscious attention.) He was never able to tell me what made him scream and cry and be so petrified - he did not remember when awake.2 -

@MotylekOkruchy I did offer to give her a hug, and she told me I don't want to hug you, lol. Thank God she was sleeping otherwise I would have felt bad. She goes to the childcare center I work at and her teacher said she is not waking up from nap like that, so it's only at home and at her moms house. Hopefully it passes soon. She's only 3 so she doesn't really understand1

I belong to a bunch of MFP and WW Facebook pages and some people are so hard on themselves when they go over their calories or points. If you do, give yourself a break then get right back at it tomorrow. Don't let one day, or one long weekend, derail your entire journey!

Let's be honest, that probably isn't true. But I have been to two Thanksgivings and am headed to the third...
The steps...you'd think I'd have done more walking with the week off but my sprained ankle was being crabby. I saw the doctor, he poked at it, then it really hurt. I wore the brace he suggested and it hurt more. Now, I only wear it if I'm going to be out and about. Isn't so bad now. Might try to get a decent walk when I get back from my travels this afternoon. They're really a guestimate as I don't carry my phone when I'm running around the house.6 -

It went up, but not as much as I feared. My husband's side of the family not only celebrates Thanksgiving day, but a family reunion that starts the Friday before opening day of deer season. It's basically almost a week of feasting. I did much better and exercised more restraint in eating and drinking this year compared to previous years.5 -

Welcome back @BodyTalking !
For those of you who navigated the holiday better than me...Yay!
I have a fridge full of holiday leftovers...boo? I mean, yum, but I don't generally need all those tasty treats. Oddly, this year I have next to no sweet treats only evil mashed potatoes, green bean casseroles, etc. And manged to avoid a lot of dessert (1/2 slice of pumpkin pie, 1/2 Cherry pie, 1 lump of chocolate pie--it wasn't sliceable, apparently) over 4 days. And none came home.
I think I'm going to start making the effort to go to our indoor track to walk. The cold, dark, ect is a bad excuse, not a good reason. I need to start moving more and slugging less.4 -
