    Welcome @Cora0477 and @Kiwi2mfp

@Ceebeeslim - sounds like you're doing great on the plan - totally understand why you're ready for LENT to be over though. Safe travels.

Welcome @Cora0477 and @Kiwi2mfp; you will find this group a perfect place to vent and to stay motivated on your journey.

@Ceebeeslim - great to have you back here ! I feel you when you say you get nervous approaching your target weight, I feel (and have always felt) the same way. Let's make this our very last time !!

@SherryRueter: we have gone to Egypt a few times already - I think this will be our 7th or 8th trip. We are leaving on April 27th for one week. For us it is a relatively quick flight (5hours) and very affordable. I can't wait to be on a boat with NO WIFI, where the only questions of the day are: when do we dive and when do we eat. Now, don't think it is a walk in the park... a normal day is like this: wake-up call at 05h00, dive, breakfast, dive, lunch, dive, dinner (once or twice followed by a night dive), 21h00 crash into bed and sleep like a log. The upside is that we are so active during such a trip that I don't have to log or even think about food, I can eat whatever I want and probably still come back at the same weight ! I always take an extra day off, just to get some physical rest before going back to work, and to wean off the seasickness medicine. But the mind is really refreshed after such exhaustion.

@Antiopelle Sounds like an amazing time! I've never done diving but I agree that such a schedule would be very exhausting and the No WIFI is awesome. We had limited Wifi on the cruise and taking that social media break was refreshing.

Day 2 Nutrition Detox day 2. Still a great feeling to go to sleep knowing I crushed my plan and excited to see any changes on the scale the next day. I did feel like having more veggies last night but, they aren't on the plan to have extra servings so I simply had my water. I knew it was more of a "want to have" instead of being hungry. This morning, down another 2# . Weighed in 108.4 I was shocked. I think the scale is broken.... sounded like too much weight. But the detox is to clear out your intestinal tract ...which it is doing.

Today Day 3 nutrition I get protein for all 3 meals. The tricky part is that I have a work lunch. I have researched the menu and will go with Grilled shrimp and then see what they can do with the greens and such listed on the menu. I am hoping they will give me a salad with the ingredients I pull from their menu, because they don't have what I really want listed. This should be fun.

Workout :Shoulders and Arms with 10mins abs at the end.

Technically up a tad this week's weigh in, but still hovering in the range I would expect (this was one of my higher weigh-ins) - when you're only losing about .4 lb/week, it's tough to see on the scale LOL. My pants are definitely a little looser though, having to start busting out a belt more often...

I would love to hear *everyone's thoughts on artificial sweeteners.

I personally use probably 3 in each cup of coffee (down from 12) and maybe 1-5 elsewhere in my day.

What are your over all thoughts on them? Do you use any packets?

Ironically, last night was woosh night (of course) lol. I felt like I was getting overdue for one, and sure enough, had to use the bathroom like 5 or 6 times last night, and knew it was another woosh. Why, oh why must they only happen at night?!? I can use the bathroom all the time during the day, I'd like some sleep though LOL.

My exercise felt like I was dying today and I’ve been having headaches. I’ve looked back through my food diary and wonder if this is due to lower carbs. I’m not counting carbs at all, I just end up eating lower carbs in my quest to get enough protein and iron within my calorie count. I picked up a cereal (that I don’t love) that has high fiber and decent carbs. I hope that helps but I don’t know how long it will take to see.

Weight wise, I had a whoosh today. I still don’t have much energy, (possibly the carb thing?) but my stomach feel SO much better lately, less bloating and discomfort, less pressure from my pants.

Whooshin all over! Down a pound as well! Hooray for us!

Funny you ask @SherryRueter. I stopped using Truvia packets and Quest bars the day after that study was released connecting (maybe?) the substance in it erythritol to clots. Given my parents’ health issues, I thought it best.

When I asked their cardiologist, she wasn’t as clear. It wasn’t a clear “stop using them” - there were issues with the study and we should be going natural whenever possible - like cinnamon.

I haven’t been as aggressive with the other artificial sweeteners in my jelly, etc. but stopped with the diet soda. I know I could do much better.

@cora0477 I used to buy Fiber one because it was high in fiber. Nice on the whoosh.

@ceebeeslim I presently only use Equal and am sort of trying to use less. A few months ago I probably used 12 in each cup of coffee plus a few on a salad or on top of other foods, plus the drink sticks (crystal light type stuff) Plus diet soda each day. I'm at around 2 cups of coffee and 3 packets in each. Then maybe 2 packets ... so averaging 8 packets a day + my 4 drink sticks. Its a start.

Today is Friday.... my hardest day to make it thru. But I'm following a nutrition plan and I have been SO good with it. I am NOT going to fail today! I keep reminding myself
    " You're bored now.....
... Eating food will relieve the boredom for a hot second then
---- you'll be bored again and you'll be disappointed and mad at yourself"

Which is true.... Why use food to make the situation worse? Just be bored and it'll be okay. Refilling my water jug. Wishing I had a cup of coffee in the house.

We're scheduled for some pretty bad storms tonight....ugh.

Workout was good - legs, back and abs. WHOOFTA
Nutrition, today is day 5. I am at 108.6
Ladies....remember after my dads funeral a month ago I was 112.0 (ish)
and its been 4 complete days.
I did sneak in about 10 extra carrots and 1T of almond butter yesterday.
I dont know if I was hungry....
I also had 18,000 steps. I think the meal plan
is around 1500 calories. I was probably hungry.

Coach wants progress photos posted on Sunday morning.

My whoosh bounced back, which I kind of expected, but still less than the day before.

I finished the week off strong. Stayed AF, met all my exercise goals, and came in under my calories.

    Looking forward to April!

Were you really putting 12 doses of sweetener in your coffee? That's pretty much!

I do use them and I don't think there are major side effects. I drink my coffee plain though, but I put two in my oatmeal each morning. When I do desserts at home, I'll always substitute sugar with sweetener. My mom who was a diabetic used them a lot, and it was fine for her specialist who did the follow-up on her. I'm not into the current sweetener scare.
