Mom is out of surgery and in the ICU overnight to monitor her BP. She’s doing well and said she was hungry.😀 They gave her broth and jello and I fed her.

The biopsy indicated the tumor is cancer and they added the radiation tiles as part of her treatment. She will continue to get regular MRIs. The surgeon said the tiles have been very successful in stopping further tumor growth. She’s has a great attitude and my siblings and I are following her lead.

They will be moving her to a regular room tomorrow and we may go home Wednesday.

    🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Morning. Mom had brain surgery on Monday to remove a tumor and we’re going home today. She is truly Superwoman! Prayers are answered.

Follow up in two weeks. Then regular MRIs. The radiation tiles they put in the area will hopefully kill anything remaining and keep any new tumors from forming.

    Thanks for your support. ❤️🙏🏾❤️

Chris - Hope Sara has a good first day back...it is so hard! She's lucky to have your help!

I've been struggling with some sort of shoulder/back strain...cramping my style and impacting my sleep. The chiropractor is trying to put me back together again...but I've been taking it easy on the weights.

Just booked our family vacation for a week in Virginia at a mountain resort. Bummed that we can't do Europe (Jim's knee isn't ready, not is Bella)...I like the way it is working out. More relaxing (which works for me!)

Thanks, Karen. Pete is taking Collin in to see Sara after the kids are gone from school. Sara is able to feed him and reduce some of her pressure. I'm sure things were different with Ronan when he was born, but this brain of mine can't remember yesterday much less six years ago!! :D
My workout was really good today. I'll be ready for sleep early tonight!!
Karen, during the covid lock down, somebody...not my trainer...but a family person who is a trainer...had me doing over head slams with a 15 pound slam ball. Man! I was in pain for a long while. My trainer had to put me back together again!!! I'll never workout with that person ever again!!!
Got Collin Duty tomorrow morning than I'm going to walk to the post office.

Kathy I am so sorry to have not replied sooner. No excuses. Just truly not on the computer much. These tile things are new to me. I hope they do what they are intended to do. You are a great daughter. And take the loss. You have worked hard towards it. Tell your mom hi for me.

Chris sorry for your pain. But you still have an awesome step count this month.

Today is the first day in awhile that I have made it over 10,000. Not bad for a working gal stuck in a basement.

Kathy how is mom doing? Does she have some beautiful head scarves to wear? I know she will look great in them.

Karen hope everyone is healing and happy.

Thanks, Shelley. Much, much better today. Had Collin Duty this morning then 60 min workout w/my trainer.
I cut out sweet treats starting Monday. Into the trash and the rest are for my sweet husband. The scale will go down.

Ladies I’ve been sick for the last couple of days. Not doing much of anything exercise wise. Mom is doing great. Recovery going well. They did not have to shave any part of her head for the surgery so scarves aren’t necessary. You can see the line of staples on the left side of her head so yes there is a little hair loss. Nothing she can’t deal with.

Kathy she is so courageous. I am glad she didn't have to lose her hair. But knew she would make a fashion statement of scarves if needed. Hope you get well soon.

Chris I finally kicked the soda. Sweets are next. You got this.

Went shopping tonight after work. Going to make a tent over my peach tree. We are expecting frost tomorrow night and snow on Friday. I hope to save the peaches.

Libby is doing well after surgery. Had some growths removed. They were sent off for biopsy. Fingers crossed.

Kathy, I hope you're better soon. So happy for your mom...she is so brave!
Shelley, So glad Libby is doing well. Got my fingers crossed about the biopsy, too.
I'm wondering if giving up the sugar is why I had a headache...hmmm...I want to get down to 145 so 10 pounds to go.
I have Collin Duty until 11:30 today, then I'm walking to the post office. ;)

Chris it could be. Our brains seem to get hooked on things not good for it. I hope you enjoyed your walk. Good luck on those last 10 pounds. I want to get to 145 also. And them to 135.

Tonight I will be covering my peach tree. Supposed to drop down to 31degress. Too cold for the buds. My daughter suggested putting buckets of hot water in the "tent". I will take a photo of my first attempt and post it here. Should be gnarly. :drinker:

The judges are having a convention here at work today. Supreme court judges are even here.

April is almost done for. We had my co-workers dog for the first night. He cried and Libby was jealous. He wanted to sleep with us. And Libby was being a little stinker over it. Needless to say I did not get much sleep. Barney has been a bit snappy at him today. They will get over it. Kimbo is a little darling. Super sweet.

How's your peach tree, Shelley? I hope it's staying warm!!!
Thinking about walking to Ronan's t-ball game...maybe. Didn't feel up to anything yesterday. Good thing the school district made it a Day Off for everyone!! Sara was home so no Collin Duty. Even cancelled my workout, so you know I was feeling off. Then I got migraine lights...at least the headache wasn't horrible like when I was younger. Since menopause I'll get the lights, no headache but I'll get the hang-over. Might still have the hang-over. :s
And now my Fitbit watch is having issues!! Won't charge...losing what it does have...Pat is working on the solution...might need a new one. :#
