Ugh what a crazy couple weeks. Not to get too deep into it but I've worked a ton of extra shifts, my foot is not doing well, I think I need to see a specialist, so workouts have not been happening, and then long story short, my 2 oldest kids were stranded in Idaho just themselves and our truck, ugh, they were headed from montana to Oregon, they never made it to Oregon though. thankfully we have a wonderful friend up there who helped and gave them a place to stay for a couple days. Anyways so I stress ate the whole time, but they are back and everything is good again4 -

@angmarie28 Glad your kids are ok...you're a good mom and of course, you were stressed until they were back home and safe with you!! Re your foot issue...since you work on your feet a lot, what type of shoes do you wear? Good support for both your arch, extra padding for your heels and ankle support make a WORLD of difference...I only wear Vionics or shoes with built in arch support (and I add a gel insert for the heels) for my plantar fasciitis...but there are several brands out there for people with feet issues. Also, look at birkenstock if you like sandals or clogs...they have great arch support, but take a little getting used to (have to start by wearing them for just an hour and increasing as you acclimate to them). Let me know if you need more brand recommendations...sorry but I can't remember the actual issue you have with your feet, but thought I'd chime in, in case it would help.
Take care and enjoy your weekend!

@ganival I too am suffering from wrinkly skin ....
@cre804 Congrats!!! Sounds like your recovery is going well.
@angmarie28 How scary about your kids. At least they were together and are now home safe! Hope your foot improves. I can't remember, is this plantar faciitis (sp???) or something different.
So this morning I lost the 1.4 pounds I gained over the last two days. Yea! Hopefully the lower number sticks and doesn't creep up again. Planning on a hike with my husband and Alaska, our younger golden retriever, who seems to be adjusting okay. Weather is beautiful here. Hope everyone has a great weekend!3 -
Special thanks to @pupowl who updated the spreadsheets when I came home not feeling well last night. I appreciate your kindness and understanding so much. I had kind of a rough week and was probably just exhausted, but I think something I ate yesterday didn't sit well either and I had a tummy ache, so that didn't help either.
I will admit readily that I am G - L - A - D it's the weekend! WHEW!

It looks like a good week for our Shape Shifters team. Good work, everyone!
Every Saturday, I try to review my weekly nutrition statistics and plan any needed adjustments for the coming week. Typically, I fall short of my protein goal, which is usually 16 or 17 percent of my daily nutrition instead of my target of 20 percent. I also noticed that my fiber intake could improve. This week, I was 6 grams below my goal. My overall micronutrients could improve — as usual 🙄. I think I generally eat “good” fats like nuts, but I was 5 percent higher than I’d like (35% instead of 30%).
This week, I went over my daily calorie targets on Tuesday and Wednesday, which is unusual. Mainly, I think it was because the weather was bad for sculling and I skipped my indoor workouts when the water was too choppy to take the boats out on the river. I was tired so I decided to sleep until 7:00am instead of getting up at 5:15am (to row at 6:30am). I was able to get a little extra work done before starting my day, which made me happy 😊. I did join my ‘Late-risers’ rowing group for the indoor workout at 9:00am but only burned about half the calories I would have burned by rowing on the water.
Most weeks, Saturdays are the worst days for me in terms of exceeding my daily calories, especially now that I’m attending more social events (with summer and people feeling more comfortable getting together again after distancing ourselves so much during the pandemic). I really need to reserve some extra calories for Saturday or pick up some cardio on the weekends. Soccer helps on Sunday nights but I only work out for 30 minutes with the personal trainer on Saturday right now. Next month, I might start sculling on Saturday morning, since I have permission to use a boat (because I’m enrolled in a weekly morning coached session).
Right now, I’m trying to finish a decluttering and downsizing project. So, I don’t want to give up that time. It’s all a trade off in how we spend our days, isn’t it?! Some people seem to manage so much, but I think it takes me a little longer. I seem to spend more time reflecting on the needed changes/ transitions and planning next steps. Eventually, I seem to reach my goals but I wish I could move a bit faster! Well, I better tackle the stacks of paper on my decluttering To Do list for today!
It’s rainy and humid so it’s perfect weather for me to stay inside without any regrets. I hope you all enjoy the weekend!5 -

I’m sorry to hear that your still dealing with your foot injury— It must be especially difficult to heal when you have to be in your feet so much for work! It’s so stressful when our children are struggling but I’m glad your friend was able to help them and everything worked out.
I know it builds resilience, and we have to overcome some of these obstacles on our own as part of the journey to adulthood, but it’s still a little difficult as parents when they take their first solo trip, drive a car, experience their first broken heart, etc. Hang in there!1 -

@izzyred9400 We are on Crete! Though Paros is my favorite of the Greek Islands. Have a blast! And make sure to eat a Galaktobureko at the port. It’s the best in the world 😉
@PatriceFitnessPal thank you! I’m doing my best to enjoy every minute of it ☺️2 -
