Good morning Shape Shifters. I finished a puzzle last night. The middle part with the whale shark and basking shark was horribly slow. I still enjoyed it a lot though. Eurographics smart cut puzzle are just always a hit with me. Starting a new one today! Happy Friday everyone6

The bad air quality and weather have interfered with my workouts so I’ll need to focus on improving my eating habits. I’ve had some work deadlines and find myself snacking while taking breaks. I’m going to try to get out more, even if it’s just walking to do errands, so I move more.
I hope you all enjoy the weekend!6 -

Still not quite to my goal, but getting there. Maybe next week? We will see how it goes with 4th of July festivities and guests, etc. Still, I think I've lost a little weight each week.
@kodakslim I used to have inline skates but haven't done it in ages! Have fun!6 -

My nutrition was a little better this week, I watched portion sizes and cut down on evening snacking. I'm slowly getting back into tracking food, which I need to do to stay on track.
The air quality continues to be poor here from the forest fires, so I'm not walking or biking as much and not getting to my step goal. I played hockey (inside) one evening and completed a 10K row this morning on my indoor rowing machine. However, I'd rather be exercising outside!
Have a great weekend everyone!

Quick check-in
…I recently made an “impulse buy”….a pair of roller skates (quad wheels). I’m 33 and I haven’t skated since I was around 9 years old I just remembered how fun it was back then, and thought why not! After a quick Google, I found a roller skating place around 10 miles away which holds roller discos for people of all ages. If my skates arrive on time, I’ll go there next week to try them out. Not only should it be fun, but it’ll be a great way of getting some additional exercise in!
Do any of you roller skate? Or would you try it again?
I used to love roller skating and reached out to a roller hockey team in my area recently to learn more about their league but I don’t have a stick yet, and need to check if my old in line skates are still in the backyard shed. I think the roller disco will be fun! I would try it. I just need to break out of my usual routine.
At the gym, I use the jump rope and it reminds me of when I was young. It’s funny to think how I would jump rope, run around, or practice the ‘perfect’ cartwheel for hours and not think about it as exercise. I try to channel that playful thinking when the coach has me doing cartwheels on the right and left side when we can’t row on the water and workout indoors. I definitely don’t have the energy I did as a young girl! But, at first I was afraid to try to do a cartwheel and it’s easier now so it feels good to have conquered the fear!
Have fun @kodakslim!

What a week! I knew food would be a challenge because my husband was in Belize on a vision mission trip. So I ate out a lot more than usual, hitting the places he doesn’t like.
Then Tuesday, I woke up to no air conditioning! Now, l live in Texas, the heat index was like 109, and the upstairs got to 95 degrees. Not having AC is a very big deal here. My husband only had cell service in the evenings, so after trying a few things, I left him a message that I was heading to a hotel for the next two nights. My neighbor went in the attic to rule out a couple things, then my husband had an idea what the problem might be. Long story short, he had it fixed within about 10 minutes after he got home. Very thankful for that!
Anyway, it’s taken a few days to reset my eating now that I can actually eat at home. Planning on staying on track going forward.
I also seemed to overdo my PT so I held back a bit on that. It was feeling better this morning so I’m hoping to make progress in that area again.5 -
