Way to go @dancingonstarz, @nancyinmo, and @kcpond, our Team Winners!
Thanks! I'm shocked! I guess that's the weird thing about weight loss; I haven't changed anything in my routine but for some reason the weight just fell off last week. 🤷♀️. Just a good reminder to keep truckin' through the plateaus when they happen too.3 -

I love seeing all the success from last week! Congrats @jenhul, @dancingonstarz, @kcpond and @Nancyinmo
I know @PatriceFitnessPal asked last week about food that surprised us when weighed. I started that with pasta but I’ll add salad dressing to that too. So easy to pass thr serving size on that!3 -

After an enjoyable vacation , I struggled today with my calories. I was 300 over and way below on steps. I phoned a friend—a speed walking friend and an hour later, dripping with sweat, I have 11,755 steps!! It feels so good to push myself and get my steps in!4

@Sbus12 - You’ve inspired me. I had a bad day yesterday. I didn’t track my food after breakfast and ate too many calories with low nutritional value. I didn’t want to get up for rowing practice this morning but I did it. The water was choppy so we had to work out indoors on the erg machines but I’m glad I exercised. Thank you for the motivation!3

I walked/ran the (Santa Cruz to Capitola) Wharf to Wharf 10k Run on Sunday. There were over 15,000 people participating! I finished 10,385th out of 15,646 overall and 179th out of 326 in my age group (Male 70-79). Here's a couple photos I took along the way:
This is a shot of the Capitola wharf towards the end of the race:
And here's the approach to the finish line:6 -

Wednesday Weigh In
PW: 143.3
CW: 141.9
Week loss: 1.4
Month Loss: 4.3
Total (since May) : 11.1
I'm so happy I crushed my goal this week and am over 10 lbs down. I can already see a difference in my stomach. I also feel a lot better, and my resting heart rate has come down significantly.
My next small, but significant, goal is to get under 140. I know it's only a couple of pounds, but that will put me at pre pregnancy weight.3 -
Wednesday Weigh In:
PW: 160.6
CW: 160.42 -
We really need you guys to consider volunteering to help us as a Motivator. It takes very minimal time each week and would help your fellow team mates so much. We've been searching for several months now and not one person has offered to help us. I know you're all busy, but I and @pupowl can't do this alone. If you're willing to try, please email me or @PatriceFitnessPal and let's make it work. We definitely need one, but two would be a better number.
Thank you.

Here’s my weekly weigh-in report:
Name: PatriceFitnessPal
Weigh-in Day: Thursday
PW: 135.7
CW: 135.1
SW: 168
LtD: 32.9
My goal is to maintain my weight between 120 and 130 pounds. I feel best at 125 but my main objective is to learn how to sustain consistent exercise (or at least movement) and nutrition habits that keep me within +/- 5 pounds of that weight. Right now, it seems to take too much thought and energy to stay within my target range. I’d really like to put that time and mental energy into other life goals but health comes first. So, I’ll stick with strengthening the foundation, since everything else builds on health. Best wishes, Shape Shifters!4 -
I’m cheering for you this week @bearchested and hope your week-long bike ride is going well. I love that there are both fitness and social components. Social and emotional well-being is a critical part of health and contributes greatly to living longer — and happier. So, happy biking!!
And, congratulations to you, @frankwbrown on a race well done!3 -
That’s fantastic news about your progress, @Zaxa2021. I like your new milestone goal and motivation. Go get that goal!1

@jessicakrall8 and @PatriceFitnessPal I sent you both emails. Let me know if you didn’t receive them. I think I figured it out, I kept using the @ sign for user and then when I removed it, both emails send. Hopefully that was it!
Also, does anyone get notifications if your posts have reactions (likes, hugs, inspiring, ect.) I do not and I was just wondering about others. I try to show support to others through those but if you don’t get notified it seems kind of pointless. Just curious. Thanks!1 -

Thanks for letting me know about the email you sent. I didn’t see a message from you so I sent a friend request so we can connect. I appreciate you reaching out! Also, does anyone get notifications if your posts have reactions (likes, hugs, inspiring, ect.) I do not and I was just wondering about others. I can see that people have added supportive feedback using the ‘reaction’ icons when I visit the monthly Chat section, but I don’t get personal notifications. The personal notifications come through on the friends Newsfeed. I’m not as active there but some people use it as a way to support their network. Others might know more about the overall site than I do so I’ll defer to our Shape Shifters teammates who use that resource more.

Struggling to hit my goals this week. Stressed with finals week for school and month end at work. Also dealing with a broken appliance at home so that is creating more work until it is fixed.3 -
