Not too bad despite the hectic week, as I thought I had gained a few pounds. We're off finally to visit our respective moms, one is 100 years old, and one is 90, lol. Will try to get onto the site with my phone but it's so old I can't get the MFP app --we'll see what I can do to log in because I'd hate to miss my streak and to read all the comments. If I'm not by a scale next Wednesday will weigh in as soon as possible.

@vegan4lyfe2012 Oh gosh, Jennifer, I am so sorry about your son. No, he's not a failure, the military isn't easy and I'm sure he accomplished a lot in his 7 years. @laurelfit57 Awww, Vannie, let your mommy visit with us! Yes, adaptive yoga is awesome. It's basically a stretching class but it feels really good. I'm so glad you are back! I see Vannie is still a gorgeous pup! The second photo, she looks like she's saying, "Yes, I know I'm beautiful!" LOL That area you redid looks nice. Good luck at the dinner!

Hi all. Good intentions with the walking but it did not happen: yesterday, I had stabbing heel pain. I think it's plantar fasciitis, which I've had before. I am going to wear my orthopedic shoes today and see if that helps. I tracked again yesterday and pretracked today. Not much going on, I'm working today and at work, I'm installing a Halloween display case at the counter of our library with a spooky book and creepy stuff in the case. I put exhibits in the case all year round but this is my favorite time of year to do the case.

Hey team, sorry life has been on fast forward lately!
I’ve been transitioning to more normal eating, and I plateaued for the past week. I’m a little nervous about eating normally. But I don’t think I can stay on my current diet long-term. Its so restricted. I enjoy it but I just don’t think tomatoes, mushrooms and broth twice a day is the healthiest long-term lol.
Off to a training this morning about an hour away, so hoping for a relaxing drive with some nice fall colours

Trying to eat a bit healthier today. Yesterday was my uncle's funeral so food was mostly sandwiches and pizza and dainties. I didn't even track as there were so many little things throughout the day that I ate.
It was a stressful day for all, but I managed my nightly walk and was conking out on the couch earlier than usual. After my phone fell out of my hand the 2nd time from dozing off, I finally decided to get up and go to bed. I'm jumping into the weekly challenge a bit late, but will see if I can keep on top of that.

I am so dehydrated! Got super busy at work and nursed a single cup of tea from 8am until 6pm. Not good!

Tonight’s tea is called “butterfly jasmine”. I had earned a free tea so I used it for an expensive one I would never buy myself. ($25 for 50g). It is exquisite! Hand rolled little butterfly shaped tea leaves. Hence the name. Anyway, I still won’t buy jt but it’s lovely to enjoy for free
My morning tea these days is “hot chocolate” which is a pu’erh with chocolate curls. Really really good and nicely caffeinated.0 -
@steffibabiie Oh that's perfect, sounds like you have a lot of knowledge to be able to make your own skincare. Your device sounds awesome! I know what you mean, with the micro current machine I'm supposed to be using it every day and it's hard to do that. I was going through old photos earlier on my phone to delete for more room and came across one with a list of foods to help increase collagen production so I'm going to list them quickly: “foods rich in vitamin A like carrots, sweet potatoes, apricots and eggs; green leafy vegetables like kale, spinach, and broccoli; Onions and garlic as sulfur is important for cartilage production; berries for antioxidant protection; Vit C like in oranges, bell peppers, strawberries; nuts like almonds, walnuts, legumes, and seeds as they're high in amino acids; Bone broth as it's high in amino acids which are collagen building blocks.”
@laurelfit57 Oh Vannie, Mommy needs some fun time on here please allow it! My cats were such a pain doing the charity meeting minutes, it's like they're jealous I'm involved in something else so they lay on my paperwork or stand in front my of computer. I'm consulting with a neurosurgeon tomorrow, most of my discs are herniated or bulging and there's one bulge in the neck that's compressing my spine which is probably why I feel crushed from the chest down. It would be amazing to not feel that way! I love your perennial bed and Vannie posing! You just dealt with why I grow in containers, I'm surrounded by oak trees, I'm sure that was exhausting! Dealing with all the bark and dirt wouldn't be easy either, those grasses should be doing great next year and all the good compost will have sunk in. Great job on Thanksgiving, you'll get through this week!
@FushiaKat Congrats on being in the green, I'm glad you're down but know you must be missing the cheese! It's very nice of you to clean up the palm tree seedlings, I'm sure your neighbors appreciate it, you know if one grew over there you'd probably hear about it but otherwise they may not know how many spring up. I've been kicking myself over oak trees I could've pulled out before they got too big as you're fined here for removing them. Good luck with the eye check!
@DrewsAnna You brave woman, I was close to going to Costco but went to the nearby grocery store then browsed on Amazon, I was good about getting stuff I wanted but didn't totally need. Clothes everywhere are so expensive I'm planning on Costco for that though they seem to attract cat hair quite a bit now. The chicken-cauliflower bake sounds awesome. I'm hoping your weigh-in isn't too bad!

@megnolia82 I'm sure after getting sick again adding new foods is scary, try one thing at a time and see how it goes, hopefully you'll be healed and eating what you want soon! I guess in a way being limited makes eating less calories easier but agree it's not the long-term answer. Do you still have that bloated uncomfortable feeling or are you starting to feel better? My friend and I were talking about that today how when you're on antibiotics it causes other issues, I'm drinking cranberry juice and eating yogurt to hopefully not have issues on either end and drink kombucha a few times a week.
@sleepygirl79 Yesterday sounds like a sad day, I'm sorry for your loss. One day won't set you back in the long run, you got this and glad you're jumping into the challenge.
Hi friends! I've been sleeping in a little later especially as my allergies have been pretty bad lately. The charity president was upset last night so we talked on the phone a little late which was another reason I slept in. I think I talked about this, the volunteer appreciation night this weekend the president is excited about all the little things she has planned and she doesn't collect a salary either so I didn't want her volunteering to fall through the cracks and I asked the board to chip in for a gift. It's a little awkward as her and her boyfriend have a tense relationship and she loves being with her son so we're doing a mother/son movie gift, her boyfriend will be there which will be a little odd. Anyway all but one person pitched in and I was trying to find a physical Cinemark gift card, they're on sale on Amazon today but only ecards then possibly at Costco but I'm not up for handling Costco. Worked out and got some stuff done around the house, not much else is new. Have a great Thursday!2 -

@katmary71 what kind of stuff do you guys get at the farmers market in the winter? We do not have a farmers market in the winter (our last farmers market was last weekend). I think that you and I come on here at about the same time and post at the same time lol. I really hope that surgeon can give you some relief!
@Cornanda that separation anxiety takes so long to work through! I think Vannie is pretty much finished it. I must say, though it is a struggle when I come home and she is so excited to see me! The trainers say that I need to ignore her until she calms down, I am sure she can feel my guilt shining through.
@trooworld vannie has got sass for sure🤣. How are your two girls doing? Are they getting along better now? I am sorry that you are suffering with heel pain, that plantar fasciitis is no joke. Sounds like you are rocking the tracking! Your job sounds like a lot of fun.🥰
@sleepygirl it doesn’t seem that funeral food is ever really healthy, more likely comfort food.
We went to see the show at the dinner theatre for brunch today, it was absolutely great. Music from the 60s and 70s, just my jam! I actually did really well as far as eating goes. I got a large dinner plate and went to town on the salad bar trying to stick to lettuce And fresh veggies. My cheat there was Caesar salad dressing, but I tried to use it very sparingly. For the main meal, I had one very small piece of roast beef, chicken breast in some type of tomato, basil sauce, and some roasted carrots and parsnips I steered clear of the pastta bar🤣. Of course I had half of a Yorkshire pudding And gravy😋. I am attaching a picture of the desserts I chose, I was really proud of myself. Because it is a brunch they have about 50 different kinds of desserts in little tiny portions. I just picked rice pudding, half of a little brownie square and a small portion of bread pudding, then filled up my plate with fruit:). It wasn’t perfect, but I was happy with it at the end of the day.
That’s it for me for tonight, I need to get back on the ice pack for my back. Lol. Hope everybody had a great day.1 -

Thankfully, I lost 0.6 lbs. I was really surprised and very thankful.
@broncobuddee @trooworld Is it alright to weigh in 1 day early next week on Tuesday instead of Wednesday? The concert is on Tuesday, so a Wednesday weigh in would definitely not work to my advantage.
I made 2 complete meals, got them portioned and put in the freezer. Thankfully, I'm not going to be in the kitchen very much the next couple of days because, I'm sure tired of being in the kitchen.

@laurelfit57 Hahahaha! I love Vannie. My girls are doing okay, we have been letting them interact a little bit and it's going good...we have to occasionally pull Violet away from Daisy because she starts getting rambunctious but it's a little better. Thanks for asking. I will include a recent pic of them together, Violet is now 1 yr 3 months and she's getting bigger! Thanks, I hate that I developed it again. I am trying with the tracking. I do love my job, it is fun. Sounds like you did really well at the brunch. Great job!

Hi all. Because my foot is bothering me, I am dropping my steps/active minutes down to 6,000 steps / 15 mins of activity. Yesterday, I wore my "podiatrist-approved" sneakers to work and my foot felt better but still hurt. Here is a pic of my baby girls, Daisy is on the left and Violet is on the right. It is rare for them to be together as they don't get along.

@drewsanna how are you accessing the spreadsheet? On your computer or on your phone?
If on a computer, it depends on the browser you're using, but with chrome there is a little star on the upper right, you can bookmark it there to add to your bookmarks bar. Or you can go to drive.google.com then go to shared, and you'll find all files and sheets that you have opened but weren't created by you. (this is the easiest way for me to see the monthly challenge spreadsheet, steps sheet, and habits sheet.) If you prefer to access on your phone, download the google drive app and you can get to them all the same way, by going to "shared"4 -

This is a really quick check in, I’m pooped! Lunch went well with my cousins, I was so busy visiting, I hardly ate anything.🤣. I did spin first thing this morning, visited with my cousins for four hours, then agility for an hour and a half tonight. Now I am going to soak in Epson salts and a lovely, hot tub.
Tomorrow afternoon I will be home and I will do better on here. :-). Hope everybody has a great night.2 -
@laurelfit57 It will be mostly greens (Swiss chard, lettuce, then radishes and root veggies). Some of the markets will close with fall and reopen in spring, there's two different companies that run them and one goes year-round. My favorite market is a year-round one and it's larger. I think we come on at the same time too, I noticed a missed a few posts the other night. I'm so happy you're back I missed you, do you still have the Vannie-like instructor? The dinner theater sounds awesome, glad to hear how well you did with the food! Boy that melon looks amazing. I hope your back feels better!

Hi friends! Stressful day, I couldn't sleep last night worrying about the appointment today. The surgeon thinks the worst issue is above my previous two fusions and is actually getting me in fast to have it fused. I spent a few hours waiting for a cancellation at my GP's office for an EKG but no luck so I'm going to urgent care tomorrow. If I'm able to do that my fusion will be a week from Monday so FINALLY something is going fast if I can get all the pre op stuff done. Ate horrible today, I'm a little panicked at all I have to get done but had this part of the month open as an MFP friend was going to visit but we're postponing it. For some reason I can't insert anything on this document program and lost the rest but I'm getting some stuff done for the charity's volunteer Sips and Sweets appreciation night and making the final cake, I'm excited to pull out the gift for the president she's not expecting from all of us, it's been fun doing all this stuff on the down low for her but of course not everyone pitched in and I spent more than planned. Chipper and I went out for an almost 2.5 miles (five tenths shy of that 1/2 mile) I'm going to try and go out for a little bit again tomorrow before I have to be ready to go to Seattle to see Adam Sandler, this is so exciting. I splurged a little for dinner tonight, but I didn't go completely overboard.

My goal is 6 miles per day. I try to walk 2 miles in the morning before I go to work, then I walk 3 miles on my lunch hour, and then one more mile when I get home from work.
Today I have the day off, and I'm going to try for 9 miles. Weather is in my favor.3 -
@Katmary71 - That's great that you finally saw the surgeon and can get scheduled. I'd be panicked too- wanting everything in order prior. You got this. I'm so looking forward to seeing all the cool things you can do when you feel better.

Hi all. I gained 3.2 lbs this week. I think it was the Cincinnati chili. It could just be bloat from all the carbs. We'll see next week. Yesterday, a former colleague came into my work. She had retired. She explained that she had to have something to do, so she joined a virtual walking challenge and started walking. She was so happy and had these medals and explained about the challenges she had been in. The app sent her postcards from herself from various places along the trails she walked, and from within the app she could do Google Street View to see where she was virtually walking. I thought it sounded pretty cool so I signed up for the Dia de Los Muertos virtual walk. It's an app called "The Conqueror". I am walking through Mexico. It's pretty cool. I walked 10.52 miles yesterday, mostly just throughout my usual day but I was encouraged to go for a longer walk with one of my dogs. Here are a few pics from the app...
