I get it... some things are use and don't seek further.

Some are no more despite more on hand - beets for me. Composting the remainder.

Picked up ground hemp heart to try. May mix some with my ground flax and wheat germ - use as add-ins with my oatmeal, with any panko/bread crumb events.

First up with steelcut oats & blueberries sometime this coming week.

The hemp seeds? They never lit my buttons! 🤷‍♂️

Different one today. The other day, probably because of a sale, grabbed a bibigo Six little dumplings on a microwave tray 275 calories for 170g (190 with sauce). So not an overwhelming amount by any stretch.

Same company that makes the large bags of dumplings available at Costco.

They definitely hit the spot this morning

Huh! Plants are weird… all this "taking care" business. BUT THE TOMATOES DO TASTE GOOD! :) 300g of cherry tomatoes so far today. The yellow are way tastier than the red in the particular case!

And…. a 100g cucumber… with lemon pepper on top…. AND… drumroll…. when I was digging in there to figure out the "water concept and how to direct it onto plants" (as everyone can tell I am not the person normally involved in plants other than the consumption thereoff!) .. I discovered…. hidden….. A TINY….

    7 7 0 g CUCUMBER !!!!!

    image.png

I'm currently 270g into it! With more lemon pepper!!! ;-)

the slices are from the 100g cucumber :-)

Grocery store produce cannot compare to home grown. A few seeds, some watering and off you go! You’ve got perfect conditions in BC.

Can’t grow anything here unfortunately. Too hot, alkaline clay soil, constructing shade and bird covers, and ravenous roaming animals…. Tried for the first few years in Texas resulting in bitter cucumbers, sad dry tomatoes and much dragging of hoses for watering.

Hose dragging = extra calories to spend!

I'm still trying to get used to gardening in Texas after being in the Midwest for ~20 yrs. This year my tomatoes grew great, but didn't produce worth a darn! I think mother nature overwatered them for me.

RMS - where are you in Texas? I’m in Austin.

    Lol

Tried a round lemon cuke the other day - had a bit of toughness to skin, but good.

Ooooh Yakky - I’ve never seen those kind of cucumbers! How’s the taste? Same as regular cukes? I’m assuming the lemon refers to color and shape rather than taste.

Yep Yooly, color shape for name - tasted like a cuke except skin is coarse and a tad prickly, so preferred peeled. Might be ok pickled.

    They were at farmers stand.

Made a breakfast bowl this morning. Base of roasted cabbage, topped with 2oz smoked sausage and 2 eggs plus egg whites. Plus a bit of hot sauce.

I prepped the cabbage and smoked sausage yesterday even though I was exhausted as I was recovering from a weekend trip.

The trip was awesome. We went to Ohio for the Ohio Renaissance Festival. It was a lot of fun but I am still recovering my energy.

Wow, tried to quote and denied permission, lol

0 carb - totally hunting that!

Making chicken stock for week, chicken soup's what's after for a few meals.

Breakfast was tangerines, pb & coffee - hit the door running

Yup - hitting the quote button just gives you permission denied. Why? I don’t know! Seems like quoting would be a straight forward process if you got the button right there.

I use the little editing tool (select backwards P and quotes) / copy/paste. Convoluted but does the job I guess.

What editing tool? All I know how to do is copy and paste using normal phone or PC functions and then select the paragraph marker and format as a quote! 🤷‍♂️

The little backwards P button leftside bottom in leave comment box.

Sometimes the backward P appears outside the top right of the comment box. But it’s a common tool when editing text in WORD.

Aha! Technical term: paragraph mark 😜.... which I just discovered by searching for an image of one that it is called a pilcrow!!!!!🙄😇

The paragraph mark (¶) represents a paragraph break in a document. It indicates where one paragraph ends, and another begins. In typography, the pilcrow (¶) is a glyph used to identify a paragraph.
