Greg, Monty and I got to Mile Marker 13 on the Airline Trail yesterday. With the 6 miles (extension) at the beginning of the adventure and it being an in-and-out trail, we have gone that's 19 miles one way. We go in and out so have gone 38 miles on the trail (official number is 38.54). We have about 13-14 miles to go. Hoping to finish by the end of January. Here was yesterday's adventure - tough one going through the softer snow - kind of like walking on the beach.

    Thank you, kindly!
Want to break into that next decade this week! 150’s here I come - it has been a looooong time! :)

Me too! Been struggling at the bottom of the 160s for a while - I'm be right behind you - don't think I'll make it this week - but hope to next week!

I think the closer we get to goal the harder it gets. I have been lucky(unlucky?) to have help from the nausea. I have intermittently dealt with nausea for the last few months from medication changes and now a stupid bug. Both you and @RoblinB will get there. Isn’t always fun to reach a new decade though?

Good morning! I swear I have the worst luck. Myself and husband have had a sore throat for a couple of days. More of a scratchy throat than sore. I sat down to my dinner last night and the nausea hit. Not sure if the two are related. You can ask my family or friends and they will tell you I hate throwing up. I know there are a few nasty bugs on the go right now. I had promised myself I would reach both my swim and walking goals this week. This better be a 24 hour bug. I am going to lay down for awhile. I will try and comment on the posts later.

    Have a great Monday!

My family had the same thing happen to then a couple of weeks ago.Not exactly 24 hours but close My daughter teaches Kindergarten and she says it has been burning through her class from just before Christmas (when isn’t some bug or another burning through a kindergarten class?) But there is definitely some sort of bug around right now that provides the same symptoms you described. Fortunately it sounds like it is short lived and relatively mild.

I am beginning to think it is from some bacon I cooked Friday night to put on pizza. I ate a piece (small as it was cut up for the pizza). It tasted funny so I tried a couple of more. It was definitely not right so I threw it out. If it was from that you would think it would have hit sooner.

    Weigh-in day: Monday
    PW: 224.8
    CW: 221.3

This has been a good week for me. I went skiing with my family last weekend and was able to ski without any knee pain. I fell off the chairlift last year because I was so big. I was perfectly comfortable this time around. These are the things that make the weight loss most meaningful for me.

Both an amazing loss and NSV. When we see improvements in our health it makes the hard work worth it.

I feel a bit less guilty that I can’t go to the pool. My friend texted me yesterday and it was closed. She let me know this morning it is still closed. They are doing maintenance. Still nauseous this morning. I am doing some mini walks but they are slow and short. Better than yesterday as I slept most of the day.

    Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Trivia night tonight. My husband and I our on a trivia team with my sister and her husband - "To Lame for a Name". My sister and her husband are the brains of the team, and go every week. Greg and I just go for the company and food. Greg and I go try to get there every other week, but life has gotten in the way and we haven't been in a LONG time. I'm really looking forward to getting out, but always have an uptick after Trivia night. I'll eat a light breakfast and lunch to make up for dinner out, but the sodium gets me every time.

I hope you had fun. I think I would enjoy going to a trivia night. I think I am a jeopardy champion but in reality I am pretty terrible. Did you ever play the game trivia crack? At one time everyone I knew was addicted to it. It’s the sodium that gets you from restaurant food. I tend to be up anytime I eat out. Drink extra water for the next few days.

Motto: 🏋🏾‍♀️ Don't think, just do it!!

Recap: I had a BAD day Tuesday. It started with not being able to work out. I had full intention...walked out the door to an ice rink. I was very afraid of falling. Luckily I had not let go of the door, so I was able to steady myself and get back inside. If I had let go, I would have been stuck as this door does not open from the outside.

At any rate, I came back upstairs and turned on a youtube exercise channel. I did about 30 minutes but it was not the same. So I was bummed as I didn't get my exercise consequently my step count would be low etc.

I went in late to work to allow them to get some salt down, both in my apartment parking lot and the work lot. I got to work and my boss was taking orders for lunch....chick fi la...I had brought a nice healthy lunch but....sure...3 chicken strips and waffle fries later. The ALL or None mentality was kicking in!

My other boss decides, hey....we are going to give you more responsibility (in a field that I have no knowledge) but we can't pay you any more money.....

I get home and my husband who is also abstaining from alcohol says, lets have a pomegranate sour and proceeds to make a batch. I have no defense mechanism at this point. Why not? And I might as well skip the chicken in the fridge that I planned to cook, and we might as well have pizza (his sister gave him frozen pizza from a specialty restaurant for his birthday). I definitely had an ALL or NONE mentality and I need to fix that right away!

Good news, Wednesday and today I am back on track. I got my exercise in, had a healthy lunch and dinner, on Wednesday and great plans for today..... and no alcohol🙂

Mine is a bit of a radical choice.... Never Binge Again, by Glenn Livingston. Its available free on amazon or as a pdf. It really changed the way i think about food and made a massive impact on my eating habits! Having lost 100lb i still live by the rules i made for myself using this book and i know its the reason I'm never regaining!
