I'm going to the usa for 6 weeks later this year. Which are the best restaurants to get low calorie/low carb meals? And best supermarkets for low calorie ready made meals?
    Appreciate all your wisdom!

Where are you going to be when you come to the USA ? I am in love with the store called Sprouts and Aldi ..

! I will stay in the challenge but maybe lower the daily amount to just 4000.

Glad you're staying in! Don't let it get you down...just keep working towards the goal. If a lower count helps meet that goal, then so be it! You will get there!!!

I need to try the silver sneakers site. Thanks for the reminder.

Yes - there are a LOT of great on-demand videos on the site and it's a free membership. I use it a lot!

Sounds like a fun trip you will be going on. I am not familiar with stores in the states but I am sure you will get great suggestions from the team. When do you leave? With my 60th fast approaching, the biggest thing I want to check off my bucket list is to go to Scotland. Maybe the fall if my surgery is successful. You had a great 60th and sounds like your partner will also.

I am not sure what is going on with my body but I will not give up

We are all here to support you.

Thanks Linda ... I have gone organic Keto and I am happy to say I have not had any migraines YAY for that .. just wish my body would catch up lol

Thats great news. Migraines are the worst. I stopped having them for years and after I had Covid the first time they came back. I didn’t think they were my migraines because they not even close to what I used to get. The neurologist explained how Covid started them again. The injections I get seem to help but if they get bad I will get Botox for them.

    Steps: 10,209
    Rings: ✔️
    Walk: 1/3
    Swim: 2/2

If I hadn’t had the vomiting at the beginning of the week along with nausea all week I would have met all my goals. I feel proud of what I accomplished the past week. I attempted to do walks(didn’t make 15 minutesj, swam on Saturday so I reached that goal and I lost weight. Today I am getting some mini walks. The first one I did was just over 10 minutes. Again, I have to stop a couple of times to lean on something to help the back but I walked. I have done 2 walks so far and I am off to do another. We are playing cards with friends this afternoon so I need to get my steps before we go there.

    Have a super Sunday!

Good morning! Like I said, I plan to be here a bit more this week, given my gain from last week. This is exactly the point where the effort would have just faded in the past, so I am working on my "turn it around" skills. Identified some trouble spots and have upped my mental game on them. I am also aiming to monitor and increase my protein this week (I am such a carbs girl!) Walked to our local bulk food store yesterday for some protein powder (which I have never used) to try out a new breakfast bar recipe. Extra steps and extra protein - seems an okay start.

Motto: 🏋🏾‍♀️ Don't think, just do it!!

Recap: It's going to be a bit of a tough weekend. Yesterday... unplanned lunched out. Called my son to visit with my grandson and they suggested lunch.... Today there are two NFL games. I will still be within budget but the food choices will not be the best. Yes... I "could" make better choices but this is for the long run so I have to make it liveable. But to counter... this is my rest day but I went out and walked (minded you "out" means out in the cold (30 degrees) and walked for 30 minutes.

Way to go walking in the cold. Looking for ways to offset a higher calorie day is positive. I think every precious moment with our grandchildren is worth a restaurant meal out. We go out for breakfast with our granddaughters every 3 to 4 weeks. I love getting that time with just the girls and its worth having a higher calorie day than I normally would.
