Last week was kind of like that for me. I lost 5 pounds between Monday and Friday. I have been working on my weekend eating. It was becoming one big junk feast all weekend.

That will be nice to get your swims in again. I like that it gives such a good burn.

I kind of want to lose another 10 pounds. I think it’s getting addicting. These last 10 or 15 ponds have made such a huge difference in my shape, walking ability, etc. so maybe a few more pounds will make a bigger impact on my life.

Ok this week I have been a lump on a log. While I did close my rings almost everyday which includes an exercise ring, intentional exercise was lacking. I did walks almost every day just not enough to count as an exercise check. So I am going to the pool shortly to get my butt moving. I want to try my new leg weights.

    Happy FriYAY!

You're doing so awesome.. whatever you decide to do with that 10 lbs, I think you're amazing.

    Condensed version

Negative: majorly stressed, binged ate (over 2000 calories), have some big adjustments to make so this causes more stress which could lead to binge eating.
Positive: did a walk outside, great steps. Mini walks will from now on will be called short walks because none are less than 5 minutes anymore

I think there is a show called scared straight. Well I need to be scared healthy eating.

    Have a great day!

I’m sorry to hear you are dealing with some things that are causing you stress. Have you ever tried meditation? I just started doing it at the beginning of the year and it does seem to help when I’m stressed and just wanting to eat. I’m not the best at it but getting better. I hope things calm for you soon! One day, one hour, 5 minutes at a time. Whatever it takes.

Thanks. It’s a big decision. Some of my older friends keep telling me that older women should keep an extra few pounds in case the they get sick. Not sure if I believe this as don’t we lose weight to get healthier? I have lost a lot of muscle but I am thinking after surgery will be the time to concentrate on building it back up.

Congrats on the loss! Yes, I have inherited an 18 year old granddaughter. She moved in. It’s going to be a major adjustment for both my husband and myself along with my granddaughter. Of course, she wants to have her friends and boyfriend over so I have set some limitations on that. The snacks she has will be a challenge also. She has all the makings of nachos. Give me the strength not to eat them. I think once we get adjusted it will be wonderful for us all. I am so lucky to get to spend time with her.

The leg weights were an interesting part of my swim. I will continue to use them for the water aerobics part of my swim but not laps. One I took forever to get a lap done. It almost doubled the time. Two, doing the whip kick with the weights on is very awkward. I did have a great deal of pain for the rest of the day but that in part was because I didn’t get my compression socks on until late morning. Today I am doing walks. I have one 10 minute one completed. I am going to do an outdoor one later this morning. Hoping to get back in the pool tomorrow.

    Have an amazing Saturday!
