We got our windows and screens cleaned today!! I haven't had that done in a long while. Our housekeeper and her two daughters did them. I'm happy!!
I'm still gravely and a bit coughy and runny. I'm guessing it's a cold...again!! No one else has it. UGH!!!!
We are going to the Farmer's Market downtown tomorrow to buy fruit and stuff for Collin and Ronan. The fruit we are getting from the grocery store isn't lasting. We'll see if this works. Then I'm going to the grocery store. :#
    Going to read now.

Saturday was a full body yoga stretch and an ab workout. My niece and her husband and kids came over to visit mom. They have 5 beautiful kiddos from the age of 2 to 10 and they all look so much alike. I had so
Much fun playing with them and giving them snacks. I knew they were coming so I had bought them a couple of outfits for summer camp. I especially love buying little girl clothes. So cute.

Going to a play and dinner today with a couple of friends.

    Great day ladies.

Hi Paula. My irises are just now blooming.

Went to a beginner woman’s weight class. It was fun.

Yesterday was a 30 minute Upper body burnout and a 5 minute cooldown stretch. I’m one workout away from finishing a 38 workout challenge with Shelley. I need to find a new challenge this week. Looking for a full body challenge but not so many workouts. I got bored towards the end. Need shorter challenges with more variety.

Everyone is doing so well. Proud of us.

Headed to take mom to an appointment and will workout when I return.

    Good day ladies.

    Shell,

Funny how yours start when mine end. My last iris was a small one whose stem had broken, but it bloomed inside in a glass of water.

Most of the five plants that bloomed had that beautiful bluish purple flowers; except one plant whose flowers had pale yellow inside the purple. Hoping more plants bloom next year. They seem to like the sunny deck and I'm going to repot them and add more soil.

    So fun, :flowerforyou:

I took Collin for a walk this morning. It was nice, sunny but cool breeze. He fell asleep and slept in the stroller for 2 hours and 20 mins!! I wasn't going to take him out. The last two times I did, it was a fail!! Wow! That's his longest nap here. Ronan is here now, playing w/Grandpa.
Don't know if I'm going to walk. Our housekeeper is going to be here a little longer that normal because she is by herself. So I'm eating popcorn, drinking coffee and looking at my book!

Kathy everything you said was spot on. I was getting bored also. Shorter will work. You still have some stretching and abs. If you want we could have two short challenges and alternate them. Upper and lower body ones?

Paula my daffodils on the mountain are just blooming. The ones here are long gone? Crazy!

Chris you deserve you let Collins sleep.

Yesterday I only completed 30 minutes on the recumbent. The 1 hour 15 minute drive to my mom’s daily appointments are wearing me out. Thats each way not total.

I’ll try to get in that last upper body today and a stretch.

We had Collin Duty this morning. Collin and I went out early or our stroller walk and it was a total FAIL!! The sun was too much for the stroller...not enough shade for him, but he wouldn't allow the blanket to shade him. We did talk to a lizard, tho. I was dripping wet when we got home!! It got to 105 this afternoon!!! Saturday is supposed to be a lot cooler.
Had my trainer at noon for 60 mins. It was a good workout.
I'm going to sit and read now.

Paula you are headed in the right direction. Nice job.

Kathy you are a wonderful daughter. Ad a great friend. Just do the shortest workouts possible. They will keep the exercise habit going and you will feel better after doing one. No need to do more. That is a long road trip. Even longer for your mom. I hope you sto and stretch.

Chris sweat is calories leaving your body. Lizard chats are the best.

Went to the gym for lower body workout. Then a quick stretch which turned out to be more lower body.

I have not really talked about my fish lately. Mainly because I lost 2 due to stress from moving them. It was to et up a large tank for them. With the death of the 2 largest fish I decided to sell the new tank. The new owners will also be taking a number of my fish. They deserve a large home.

I purchased a smaller tank. My plan is to fill it with numerous smaller fish. As peaceful as I can manage.

We had graduation yesterday. Done all the festivities :-) quite a couple of weeks that's for sure. Now it's time to focus on me :-) thinking through how I'm going to use this summer to really nourish myself. Been so focused on Bella.

My weight is high for me (but not for long!) course correction starting.

I finally finished the arms/back challenge…38 workouts completed over the course of 6 weeks. Looking for a new challenge and continuing stretching and yoga. I’ve been a little tired but will get it together.

Congratulations Bella!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 It’s now your time Karen.

    Congratulations, Bella!! You nailed it!!
Today was way to hot to walk Collin, and he wasn't going to nap our old way!! Oh, well...we'll see what happens tomorrow. We'll have Collin in the morning and SIL will bring Ronan...who is now a 3rd Grader!!...over around noon and trade boys. Ronan will stay and play with Grandpa for a while.
Sara works Mon - Thurs next week, so we will have Collin in the morning and Ronan to play in the afternoon...I'm already tired thinking about it.

Paula thank you. It broke my heart to lose them.

Chris I think you should consider cutting back the hours you have Collin some. If only temporarily. Give yourself some time to do adult. I know you love them. Who wouldn’t. Anyway I think you have done a great job helping raise them

Karen Bella looks so ready for life. And she looks so much like her dad.

Kathy that was an amazing number of workouts. Fantastic job.

My new tank is arriving tomorrow. The guy who bought my other new tank is picking it up Saturday. He said he would be happy to move it into the garage after he takes his out. He is bringing a type of forklift.

I am planning on ordering most of my fish from Biota. They raise fish from captive bred fish. So no capturing them from the wild. They will all be little tiny fry. No more than about 1-2 inches. Imagine my tank with tiny fish in it. I will be able to watch them grow.

Did a 20 minute FitOn stretch tonight. Everything hurts from my workout at the YMCA. I paid for a personal trainer. It is a small all woman group.

Shelley, Thank You!! Pat does most of the Collin Play Time. I do the sleep time and the Blippi time :# Collin will sit on my lap, take bites of my pb toast and watch Blippi. His eyes are glued to the screen just like Ronan when he watches Blippi during his dinner of Cheesy Bean Soup and frozen raspberries !! It's so, so funny!
I had my trainer at noon for 60 min workout. It was a good workout.
I'm getting up early enough to walk to the post office tomorrow. It's supposed to be much cooler tomorrow and Sunday then back to the 100 degree stuff on Monday.

Yesterday I took my car to the car wash and ran a couple of errands while my sister and niece took mom for treatment. My sister stayed over and helped me straighten out my closet which she loves because she “goes shopping” as she says, she got a bag of things and I have another bag to donate.

This morning I did a full body yoga stretch and an ab workout along with 30 minutes on the recumbent. Will start a new challenge Monday on FitOn. Definitely a shorter one along with continuing the stretch challenge.

Chris my sister is helping her daughter out with the 3 E’s this summer. Usually 3 days a week. She has some of the same stories. You grandmas are a godsend. I hope everyone knows that.

Shelley I wish I was a part of your weight lifting group. Enjoy setting up your new tank.

    Great weekend ladies.

Kathy, car wash...what is that?? You look at our Santa Fe and Sonata and realize we don't know what a car wash is!!!
I did 5.35 miles in 113 mins to the post office and back this morning. It was pretty nice with the wind blowing. I'm hoping it'll be like that tomorrow so I can go to the Ruins.

Kathy - your closet sounds amazing :-) I also need to do some decluttering.

I've gotten some good miles and walking over the past couple of days. Trying to decide if I'm going to go to yoga this morning or just go for a long walk. I finally have a day to just get stuff done. My list is long :-)

I leave for Canada tomorrow afternoon until Thursday for probably my last trip of the summer. Happy to slow down on the travel for a little bit.

We're leaving on Father's Day for vacation. Going back to Wintergreen Virginia where we went last year. Hoping it doesn't rain as much as it rained last year :-) either way I'm pretty sure we'll have a great time. Going to do some food prep over the next couple of days to take some meals with us.

Not sure if I've mentioned that I've been seeing in herbalist for the past year or so. She's really helped with my sleep and anxiety. I did a food tracker for her and of course I'm eating all the wrong things :-) but I knew that. After vacation Jim and I are going to be doing a 6-week pretty strict food cleanse. Trying to get all of the crap out of our diets. I think it'll be a good jump start for both of us.

Hope everybody has a beautiful Sunday!

    Karen
