typed out a whole thing yesterday and guess I never hit "post" so away it went. anywho..
@lauren_989 yes, I renewed my kayaking season pass and finally got out yesterday for my first paddle of the season! it was delightful.
Rainy day today, so I may not get to take a walk outside. I'll try to do HIIT indoors instead.
@micki48 HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! You look fabulous, and what a beautiful backdrop3 -

The humidity is down in my area, which is why I think the weight is down. I have been tracking my calories so that has been helpful as well. I starting using the Cirkul program so that has me drinking more water. I have a problem drinking anything at all, I think this contributes to my water weight. I am trying to
address that. Congratulations to everyone finishing Week One!6 -

Steps
Thank you for all the birthday wishes. It was a lovely day. And thanks for all the well wishes for my interview tomorrow. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼 I’ll have some good news soon.
Not a ton of activity today. I was working on my computer trying to clean off my stuff I need before I turn it in to my current job on Tuesday. I’m pretty close to my step goal so I’ll be marching around the house to get over 7k. I logged my food. Water has been pretty good. I did have a piece of my birthday cake. It was really good! My daughter bought a small one so it’s all gone now. I did not eat it all.

@smcewen99 Good job on keeping on track AND enjoying your mini-vacation! Looks like you hit the line just about right

Hi Team - I've been distant the last 2 weeks because of school but the intense part is over for a bit. I"m Joann a public health nurse and mom to my soon to be 10 year old daughter. I'm married and taking an online MPA program that has be busy for the next month. May was a tough month and my self care went to the sidelines as stress crept in a little too much. I'm ready to start back my healthy habits and consistency
@MaddawgMadsen thoughts are with you. Wether the news is good or bad as least you will be armed with more information.
weight in will be tomorrow3 -
Happy Monday all!
It is a gorgeous day here so looking forward to a nice walk with the pup this afternoon. I have a full body workout to get to this morning (just finishing that cup of coffee first 😉) and then onto the day.
It’s going to be a rather busy day at work for me with almost a full day of meetings from 9-4 so I’ve got a protein shake and yogurt/fruit ready to go for snacks to keep me going. I’m also meal prepping our lunch for the rest of the week today as I work from home because it requires a crockpot. It is nice to have that flexibility.
Hope everyone has a great day!2 -
Whew you all have been busy !
Happiest of Birthdays @micki48
@Lauren_989 Yes we have kayaks, and luckily, we have multiple areas we can take them. But we like to go early, we have alot of boaters around, and it seems as the morning progresses they lose their manners.
We did not actually make it out kayaking this weekend, hubby decided to power wash, and re-sand the patio, so that took all day, but we have a nice pretty clean patio now, so it's all good. We did make it to the pool, and I got some sun, I like to get there early so I can walk the pool for a while before all the kiddos get there. So I got 20 laps in, it's weird I wear my fitbit, but for some reason it doesn't count pool steps.
I got a watermelon this weekend, I ate so much of it yesterday, I really thought my dogs would like it and would help me eat it, but turns out those weirdos don't like watermelon!
I didn't do much meal prep this weekend, we had too many leftovers, I am planning on tuna salad but I think I will make it tonight, I had leftovers from dinner for today.
It's a beautiful day here the humidity has left for the week, so we will definitely get our morning walk in.
Have a wonderful day !

Hoping to play some DDR tonight while waiting for my boyfriend's birthday cake to bake. I'll at least dance in the kitchen while making the frosting2
-
@jugar Brad might fight Jasper for watermelon slices! The past couple summers he ate so much watermelon I thought he'd turn into one. They're a pain to cut from my perspective but he doesn't mind doing it so lucky me. Same with pineapples - all the fruits I see and shy away of he dives right in
Ladies dinner club with a couple of my work friends tonight - we do this once a month and while it's usually a treat I'm run down from being out last night at a concert and sorta wish I was on my way home... but I know I'll have fun when I get there!
Still managing to get most food tracked lately.. but struggling to make it all the way to the end and close the diary. Something to keep working on. Enjoying getting back in the process of weighing and measuring and being more mindful.4 -
@Heathere244 great job increasing your water! This can be super helpful with weight loss. Great loss this week!
@smcewen99 great job tracking everything, even if a bit over. I like the goals you set for the next week!
@micki48 awesome steps this week!!
@wishfuljune that is nice you have flexibility and then can prep for your week from home!
@ElfBodGoals I'm still jealous of the DDR you have at home! What pad/platform do you use?
@ashleycarole86 great job increasing your tracking and measuring! This can give you a better idea of how much you are eating or how many calories you have left for when you go out with friends 😄
I had a good day today! I was worried, because someone parked in my parking spot at work this morning and I can be superstitious 😂 I ate within calories today, walked for 20 minutes before body pump class and then had an awesome class today. I am going to feel it in my quads tomorrow!7 -

Hi. Quick check in before bed. My interview went very well. I have a meeting with the Head of school on Wednesday. I was told that is the last step. Feeling positive.
Eating (well lunch) was full of calories. We had Burger King. Had a double cheeseburger and medium fries 🍟. That just about ate up all my calories for the day. Oh well. Try to be better tomorrow.
Still hit my 7,000. Zzz 😴 Time for bed.6 -
quick check in for me too - I am starting to think I need some kind of energy boost (caffeine or otherwise) in the afternoon, or I come home so totally exhausted that I am not likely to eat well or follow my meal plan for dinner.
I did get out for a nice hour long walk late tonight, which felt good. night all2 -

I found that a snack in the afternoon helped with my energy levels. It is usually around 100-200 calories and gives me a boost I need. Sometimes it's greek yogurt, other times it's cheese and apple slices. I used to have some caffeine (hot tea) but that messed with my sleeping. I now just have tea on weekends. However, I thought I could try it again today. There is nothing like a hot cup of tea on break at work. I fall asleep fine, but then wake up at 1 or 2am wide awake 😑 Just my cautionary tale of caffeine in the afternoon. I may need to find a good decaf hot tea.6 -
Good morning Waistaways!
I am doing ok today. I thought I share with you a cheeky photo of my 6 month old pup, Maxi.
I caught her red handed snooping on our neighbours she makes me laugh everyday!
Excuse the mess, but we are building a decking in our back garden almost finished!

Yesterday was good, I went for a walk, did my squats, but not much more than that. I did not make the tuna salad, so I have a turkey wrap today and it is so not appealing, I think I might order chick fil A - and thats okay it will fit, I will get nuggies and a side salad. No fries...
I think I shall do a video this evening, my goal was to do them 4 days this week, But I think I am just going to shoot for 3, I can already tell I am feeling like I am not doing enough, which will put me in a spiral, I have to stay light and easy... A daily walk 5 days, Squats 6 days, and 3 (20 min) low impact aerobics videos IS ENOUGH...
Have a great day !
@strong_fit_ells OMG Maxi is sooo big ! Thats adorable, my pups like to snoop also.

I was hoping for a bigger loss, but I did overeat 2 days this week. So I will take it!
@strong_fit_ells wow! Maxi has gotten big and she is adorable! Look at her snooping! 😄
@Gidgitgoescrzy yes, that exercise you are doing is enough! Don't let yourself spiral!5 -
@Heathere244
Got your steps down! Welcome to the team.
Is there a daily step goal you set for yourself? If so, I'll make note of that as well! Thanks2 -
I came home from dinner with friends last night feeling so bloated. What a terrible feeling.
We order a bunch of share plates and taste everything. I think yesterday was the first time we took food home. Normally I'm a "clean plate club" girl but I felt so blah that I just left some things... it's a good reminder that we should stop eating when we feel full.. and well before we feel stuffed.
Soccer tonight, a healthier post work activity Was good catching up with friends though.

I’m here! I’m ready!
Maybe I can do 3 out of 4 weeks in the green this month? 🤔

Happy Tuesday!
I echo the idea that enough is great @Gidgitgoescrzy - especially when you are working and doing all the things. You've got this!
I hope I have it today. I'm off to the osteopath to tweak a few things. Hopefully I can get some stuck places loosened up a bit. Neck? Left hip? I'm talking to you. She's coming after you at 11. Then I'll go riding and take a nice swingy long walk with Jasper if it isn't raining. If it is, we'll play with poles - his fave!
Snack @Kali225 - include some protein, even if just a few nuts or pumpkin seeds. Avoid sugar or caffeine - they make you want to eat more, I find. Fruit maybe, but not a stimulant boost if you can avoid it. Caffeine can be great for increasing focus and forward motion, but it can also make you buzzy and touchy enough to snap at people. I used to use it on purpose if I had been too patient with someone
Sun? you can come back any time.3 -
@Kali225 I use an electrolyte drink for my afternoon "treat", although I don't use the whole thing, I use the liquid IV or Hydrant hydrate, I split 1 tube/package into 3 days. 1. it's expensive 2. It is strong, and 1/3 is just right.

@Kali225 - lately my go-to snack has been Greek yogurt, sugar free pudding mix, and fruit. It’s a way to get in that sense of sweetness without going crazy with sugar. Plus the pudding mix makes the Greek yogurt so light and fluffy. This week I’m using Jell-o’s chocolate fudge mix and it tastes like chocolate mousse, yum!
Completed an upper body workout this morning and my arms are very tired from it. I am proud of doing almost 3 complete supersets of hammer curls and supinated curls at 12.5 lb dumbbells in each hand.4
