Met with my trainer for a 60 min workout this afternoon. It was a good session.
It's really hot here today. This entire week is supposed to be over 100 degrees every day. If I get up at 5:30 and walk at 7:00 it's supposed to be in the 70's...maybe it time to get back on the bike for a while. hmmmm...

Today was a 20 minute full body strength w/o, a 15 minute cardio w/o and 30 minutes on the recumbent bike.

Mom has a doctor’s appointment tomorrow morning. Will have to get in an afternoon or evening w/o.

We’re in the 90s all week in Atlanta with very high humidity. Staying in the house for the
    most part all week.

Chris what, no burpees? Crazy easy then. o:) Just kidding. Great workout.

Kathy you rocked it today. Great workout.

    Paula you are doing great.

I did a walking fiton workout. It was fun. Still killing earwigs. Darn things are horrid. There is not as many as last year. So it is working.

Paula - Well done! You've got this!

Kathy - your pictures are always so beautiful. I love how you have this tribe of women around you all the time :-) Our girlfriends are so important right?

A little bit of insomnia this evening. Woke up at 2:00 and can't get back to sleep so I thought I'd check in to say hi.

The Farmers market was great. We also have a CSA at a local farm where we pick up fresh produce every other week. There's also a component where you go into the field and pick your own stuff for particular items. I normally don't do the pickup because it's on Thursdays and I'm in the office but this Thursday on the 4th I will be home and I plan on going and picking myself into a frenzy :-) I love the fresh flowers. Plan on making a large bouquet.

We had so much fresh vegetables last week between the farmers market and the CSA. On Sunday mom roasted up just a ton of vegetables and put them in the fridge for us to just eat during the week. They really are not very many left :-) and it's only Tuesday lol. Jim is doing really well with this cleanse also. I think he says he's lost about 8 lb so far in a week. So unfair right? Really wish Bella would be in a place to focus on your health. They're just not. And as you know we can't force them.

It feels really good to be eating lower carb high protein again. I really got out of that routine for quite a while. Plan on seeing how it goes for the next 5 weeks and then hopefully continuing much of this.

Our veterans network at work does a yearly fitness challenge called earn your stripes. It just started yesterday. I love this program and find it super motivating. So I'm going to lean into it as much as possible :-) I plan on going to sunrise yoga this morning.

I'm taking Bella to New York City tomorrow for the day to see the musical Hadestown and spend the day together. Will take the train up from New Jersey and do a good amount of walking :-) looking forward to it. Otherwise the rest of the week is going to be a little bit low-key which I totally need :-)

No burpees for you, Shelley!! bwahahah!
Karen, sorry about your No Sleep night. Have fun with Bella.
Finished cleaning house for our housekeeper this morning.
No bike for me, yet. Pat already did his session on it. Good man!!
Ronan is coming over in a bit to play with Grandpa.
    Now I'm going to read!!

Karen wow. That trip sounds fun. I love trains. And vegetables are so good. You have it all mapped out.

Chris I suppose I can skip them for a bit. Your housekeeper is so lucky

Did a step cardio. I love them on FitOn. Chris I think you should try some

I did get to sunrise yoga yesterday which was quite an intense class. I'm really enjoying going more often to yoga now that my travel schedule has calmed down.

Charging my Fitbit as we speak. I suspect we will get a lot of steps in in New York today. Looks like the weather's going to be really nice. Have reservations at a really nice place for lunch. Just looking forward to a fun day with my kiddo.

Not sure if I mentioned that Bella and I are taking in nature journaling class. I thought it was something that we could do together which is turned out to be really fun. It's not really about your ability to make pretty pictures, it's about telling a story of the plants and flowers and animals around you. Sharing a couple of those pictures that I have made. I did a few while we were on vacation which was pretty fun.

    Have a great Wednesday!

Met with my trainer today for a 60 min workout. It got to 110 degrees right now!! I'm not going out there! Ended up a wet, sweaty creature just going to the mailbox and back!! Egads!!
Tomorrow is supposed to be 105. Ronan's baseball group is supposed to be in a 4th of July parade thru Brentwood... :# Antioch cancelled their parade. Wish Brentwood would. We are not going. We'll get Bean.
Hope you all have a great 4th!!

Chris I avoid parades. But I enjoy that people watch them. Community and all,,.nice workout. I don’t do that hot!

Karen you two have a great time. Looking forward to all your photos. You take the best.

Worked out at the departments gym after work. Helping a gal get in shape for the academy. I’m retiring when she comes back. So have a lot riding on her doing well.

Chris - that's sure is hot!!

Shelley - I avoid parades too.....frankly I avoid too many large crowds. Makes me nervous with so many sick people out there.

We had a great time in NYC yesterday. So empty for New York (which was perfect.) We got a lot of steps in. Had a great lunch and the show "Hadestown" was beautiful. Nice bonding day for Bella and I.

They are offering one yoga class today at 9am that I plan on going to. Bella has to work at 12pm. Jim and I are probably going to see our friends to hang out in their pool for a few hours. Super casual.

I am getting ready to finalize the design for our new kitchen..I can't wait. We've lived in this house for 20 years and the kitchen is the original. It's a gally kitchen and terrible to prep in, as well as limited storage. Will be exciting and expensive lol. But I know it will make a huge difference....sounds like it will start in September with the lead time on the cabinets....

Happy 4th to you all! Hope it is a great day!!

Yesterday I went to the grocery store and ran errands and had lunch with my BFF. That was the extent of my exercise. Having a very small cookout with just mom, my sister, niece and my bff and her mom. Everyone else is doing their own thing which is fine with me.

Chris it’s hot here too. Not 100s but definitely in the 90s with high humidity.

Karen I love your pictures with Bella and I live NY. Really want to go back. I went with two friends in 2019 for my birthday.

Shelley you’re such an amazing friend. I’m sure you will help your friend get in shape and do well.

I did a 15 minute walking video to get a workout in and will get on my recumbent in between grilling and cooking.

    Happy 4th everyone.

Kathy, it got to at least 107 here today!!
Shelley, you are a terrific friend!
It is so hot here that Pat had to turn the sprinklers up...everything is turning brown!!
Well, I got on the recumbent bike for 9.0 miles in 43 mins. So far, so good. I plan to get on it Sat and Sun because I can't go outside! It's still going to be in the 70's all night long!! Egads, man!!
    Going to read now.

Chris, I hope you have air conditioning. This is stay inside weather; can't believe it's just gonna stay that way for over a week.

One nice thing though... don't feel like eating when it's hot; don't need energy to warm my body; noppity-nope-nope!

    Stay cool, my friend!

Paula and Kathy I missed you two posting in June about your downward weight activity. Congratulations you gals.

Karen I have updated my kitchen once. It was 17 years ago and I am so happy for you. And I want to do mine again. Love the photos. I really do.

Chris the heat is awful. Stay cool.

Thanks everyone. Her form was killing her pushups. I plan on coaching her one day a week. She is loads of fun.

Today I cleaned house as only an OCD person with ADD can. Crazy

    Happy Fourth of July. 🇺🇸

This is where Chris and I live; except I'm in the light yellow (between San Fran & Santa Cruz) but Chris is in the red, ugh. Think icebergs, cold margaritas and mountain streams!!

I did a 30 minute Walking Fitness video and 30 minutes in the recumbent.

Hi Paula, what a combination but I’ll take the cold Margaritas. 😆

Shelley OCD and ADD sounds like my mom when it comes to housework. I have a little of that as well.

Shelley and Kathy...Yeah, I have them both!!! Sure makes my husband crazy! :D
Paula, It's 105 right now. :# I'll take the ice berg, please. Our lawn will thank you for it, too!! I turned on the air conditioner at 9:00 a.m.!!
I got on the recumbent bike yesterday for nine miles. I'll probably do it again this weekend if I can't get up early enough to walk. We'll just have to see what the morning brings! Met with my trainer today for a 60 min workout. It was a good workout!
Ronan is here playing computer games with Grandpa. They are fighting the bad guys!! So funny!
Well, everyone have a great evening.

Paula your map is rather pretty. But when I think about the heat it represents I just melt into a sticky puddle! Yuch.

Kathy I get so off course. I seem to never finish anything. I started on my dresser. Went to get a bag for throwing away things. Got the bag, cleaned the cat box. Went to get some water. Stopped and added rocks to the aquarium. Checked my emails and went to get my water. Well dresser is half finished. Finally got water with dinner. Ridiculous!

Chris you might want to put your feet in ice water. Nice workout. So important for us. Ronan is such a nice little man.

Worked out with my co-worker. Made a plan of super sets. My arms were burning. Love that feel.

We had Bean over night and then traded him for Ronan for the afternoon.
It got really hot today. It's 107 right now at 6:30 p.m.
Going shopping w/Sara tomorrow. :D Now, it's been a looong time since we shopped together. Fun!!

Sat I did a Fiton HIIT arms and abs workout. It was intense. I haven’t sweated like that in a long time. The trainer had the nerve to end with Burpees but I modified with jumping jacks. 🤣

Chris that cup is so all of us. I remember you all used to go to the bookstore quite a bit. Shopping is fun with family and friends.

Kathy that was a great workout. When we were doing the funky jacks with weights she kept saying at least it’s not burpees! I think we were set up.

We are taking care of my daughters 2 dogs and cat. Spending lots of time at their place. I am a bit sore from Friday’s workout. I was doing 15 pound dumbbells for flys. Great time. Did the same workout as Kathy. But didn’t push as hard. Sore.

    Ordered weighted gloves for walking.

Chris - that is some intense heat! Wow!

We've had a small heatwave here in Pennsylvania. And the '90s over the past 3 days. Extremely humid. I did get out early yesterday for a 30 minute walk before it got crazy.

Back in the office today. Hoping to go to yoga tonight if I have the energy. I find it pretty hard to exercise after being in the office and my 1 hour commute each way but let's see :-)

Pretty happy with the progress on this cleanse. I think it's been a full 2 weeks. I do feel a ton better with lower carb and no alcohol. But we knew that was going to happen lol.

    Highest weight ever: 306 (2013)
    Ultimate goal weight: 165-170
    6/25 - 197
    7/2 - 192.2
    7/8 - 189.8
    July goal - 180

    Have a great Monday!

Karen sounds like the cleanse is working. You are doing great. Will you do intermittent fasting now?

Chris I hope your umbrella trick worked. Just don’t get burnt.

Class at the gym again. Killer workout. Then over to care for my daughters pets

Monday was a 15 minute seated yoga workout and a full body agility that was only 10 minutes but tough. Finally 30 on recumbent.

Mom has appointment with primary care in the morning.
