Shelley - it is working. I think it's the jump start for what I really needed. I've been a little loose with eating for a bit too long here so tightening it up and going back to what I used to do is making a ton of sense.
I'm still doing intermittent fasting but I'm doing a little bit shorter fasts. I used to do 18-20 hours so basically skipping breakfast and lunch and then having a snack and dinner. I'm just listening to my body right now and eating my snack earlier...so 15-18 hours (or sometimes eating lunch.) this is week 3 of the cleanse. The first two weeks were really just me getting back to eating whole foods unless processed stuff. Now that I've got this under my belt I'm going to play with the fasting a little bit more.
I'm logging my food too...which is helping. I do think my the end of it (4 weeks left)....I will make some gold progress. I'll keep elements of it for sure.
One of the most challenging parts has been cutting out alcohol. And of course there's lots of activities this summer that include alcohol. But I'm just drinking my seltzer with lemon and pretending :-) All good.
I was pretty excited last night. I've been trying to get Bella to do more exercise given her weight issues. She did come with me last night to begin her yoga which was great. She did a great job for a newbie. And I think it was a really good workout. I was really happy to have her there since this yoga studio is my sort of special place. It felt good to have that experience together.. I'm hoping that she'll come back again :-)
Working from home today. Have to take Bella to the dermatologist at lunch time. Going to get out here early to get a quick walk in before the day starts. It's going to be another hot one! Not as hot as you Chris!

Chris I hope your walk went well.
Karen thanks for all the insight. I am going to start tomorrow. Stopped eating at 8:15 today. Would have stopped a little earlier. But had to care for daughters dogs and cat.
Kathy we both had a rest day. I still got in my 6,000 steps though. Need to make that a minimum. Hard some days with so much standing in court.
Watched the fair downtown today. Two of my granddaughters were in the parade. Marching band. Then had lunch downtown. I had half my burger then and half later for dinner. It was great. Took all 5 dogs, my 3 and daughters 2, to the cabin. Took them on a nice walk.

Computers, phones, and watches are making me crazy!! Fitbit is changing...can't get info on my computer any more. My computer is getting changed up today. Pat is taking care of that while I am at my trainer's getting beat up!!
The kids are in Monterey for a few days. We have Bean.

Today I did a glute workout that was 10 minutes but a killer, a kettle ab workout and 60 minutes on the recumbent.
Chris I feel your pain my Fitbit will not sync to the Fastic app and I’m having issues with the FitOn app casting to my TV. ☹️
Paula great job. You’re having steady weight loss. Good job! 💪🏾

I'm a bit sad about Fitbit...I think it was sold to Google and that's when this all started...if I remember right. I'll have to look it up.
Today I slept in, then showered, went to my trainer's for an hour work out, came home and watched Pat put my new computer together, made soup, did dishes and now it's time to read!

Paula our goal weight is the same. Let’s get it done.
Kathy I just find it on my television and do it. Then I let my phone catch up later. App can be a pain at times
So glad we have each other’s contact info in case this gets changed also.
Worked out at the gym with a personal trainer tonight. It was rough.

I’ve been having some issues with Fitbit just not syncing in a timely manner. I get notifications on my Fitbit sort of days later. I’m not sure if it’s my Fitbit or my phone. But I’ve definitely seen a difference as well.
Just got in from a 15 minute walk. That’s all the time I had this morning but I figure 15 minutes is better than nothing right?
We had some rain storms last night, which have cooled down a teeny bit. But it’s also gonna get worse later in the day. Hope everybody has a great day!

I am such a dim light bulb when it comes to electronics. I touch a button...think I got it and then everything disappears!! Thank the computer gods that my sweet husband is so darn smart about these things.
I'm glad we have each others contact info, too...just in case.
No plans for today. Maybe I'll bike... I's going to be 108 this afternoon...probably not a good idea to go out to check the mail box bare foot!!
I don't know how you guy's states work but our post office has changed from putting our mail in a mail slot in your house/garage, to putting our mail in mail boxes up on the street...three mail boxes on a post and platform. Then three houses down, the same thing. The mail lady/man is now in a mail truck instead of carrying a mail bag and walking house to house. Boy, how things change!

Chris we still have a carrier who goes door to door. I still enjoy getting to know them.
Did a walking FitOn tonight. It was fun. I am sore tonight. From last nights upper body workout. Has anyone heard of red-light therapy? Also for those who remove the hair on your legs. Which method do you like the best?

Our mail carrier uses the mail truck too. Just drives from mailbox to mailbox. Sometimes irritating because they stuff so much in my mailbox I can barely get it out.
I did have a little time free up yesterday afternoon and decided to also go to the gym under the elliptical. Haven't done that in a really long time. So that felt great.
I'm in the office today which I'm usually not on Fridays. Have to meet a leader that's going to be there. I do have a happy hour tonight with my friends from yoga. It's at a nice place that has a lot of different food options many of them healthy. I will drink seltzer with lemon :-)

We had the boys this morning until this afternoon when Sara and Pete brought over dinner and dessert so we could all celebrate Pat and my 41st wedding anniversary! It was a good day!
My trainers daughter is really sick, so I opted not to workout today. The boys are enough of a workout and Pat wasn't here by himself.
Tomorrow Sara and I have haircuts then S&P have a funeral to attend, so we'll have Bean most of the day.

We will get a late start on the road tomorrow. The late start is due to all the pets. Must do what’s right for them before we get on the road

Lots of clouds and coolness this morning. We have haircuts and maybe...just maybe...it will still be cool when we finish and I can walk to the post office.
Tomorrow is Ronan's baseball game against the Gail Force at 9:00. Sara insists that he wants me at the game...ugh...maybe...just maybe...I can walk after.

Forgot to post the last 2 days. Friday was a short full body stretch and arms w/o. Saturday was an upper body stretch and upper body strength training.
Happy anniversaries Chris and Shelley…enjoy. Everyone is doing so well. Let’s finish the month strong.

I got 5.43 miles done in 110 mins this morning/afternoon to the post office and back. The sun was shining, there were clouds and good wind!! It was a good walk.

I love the "Full Body Fat Loss" workout video. They are all simple exercises that can be accomplished with bad knees. Bad news is I'm currently miserably out of shape and only able to do the first two exercises (one minute) before losing the ability to lift my arms anymore. Good news is there is so much room for improvement.
One minute today; maybe the full half-hour in a month? Baby steps are less intimidating. My goal is to take a stab at it daily (and maybe even sneak in a few extra minutes here and there). It may trigger something wonderful.

A full body stretch followed by an upper body strength session. My brother visiting mom this week so did a little cleaning in the bonus area where he’ll stay.
Keep at it Paula. I tell myself that everyday as I try to improve my flexibility. Always room….

Hi everyone. Bought my statues and had a great lunch with my mom and husband. Barbecue place in Washington. Then we went on a walk. Mom in her scooter. Went down to the lake. Then we walked on the dock. Mom had a great experience.

Ronan has a blood draw this morning then they will bring over donuts to celebrate his bravery! He is such a brave kid. We are so proud of him.
Cleaned house for our housekeeper today. Depending on when she is done, I might get to walk. It's a cooler day today...only supposed to get to 85 degrees. We'll see.

No walking yesterday. It got pretty hot...high 90s.
I have my trainer at noon for an hour today then I want to finish the book I'm reading and start another.
