    Today’s Weight: 213.6
    Day Streak on MFP 556

Decent week. I joined a new gym and had a complimentary personal training session. I definitely used different muscles that I haven’t used in a while.

2 weeks left of this class, then I get a break before the next one starts. After the next class I’ll be halfway done with the program.

Dogs are doing good. I took vacation this week to help family out after my stepdad had surgery. He’s all good just a lot of pain from everything they had to do.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! Looks like it is going to be a rainy/gloomy one here.

Good morning! There's not much going on around here. Yesterday, Maggie's bandage started coming off. I found her hiding on my bathroom rug, and her little face said, "Help me, Mom!" So I took off the bandage, which must have been pulling weirdly at her leg. So far, she is still leaving her leg alone. We don't want that cone! :# I fasted yesterday for 20 hours. I was going to go longer, but I had done an hour-long lift program and was so hungry! I'm rebounding today and will try for the 24-hour fast. I can do it!! :)

    Good morning 👋

I hope you all had a great 4th of July. Hubby & I stayed home with Chipper, he doesn't do well with fireworks. I decided to have a daiquiri, then a friend friend came over, so I had a few more. Lol... I wasn't feeling o well yesterday. Lol... I'm not a drinker anywhere.

Wednesday, we got new windows installed and they are beautiful! It's so nice to actually be able to see outside clearly.

I haven't been doing to good on my weight loss journey, now we are having 90°+ weather. I hate it. So, I'm just hanging out. Today, though, I'm GOING to do a 15 min. workout (more if I can) and make some veggie snack packs. If it's easy to grab, I'll eat.

@gemwolf110 How do you feel about the new gym so far? I bet you can't wait for the break between classes! I hope your stepdad is feeling better soon.

@TeresaW2024 I'm glad Maggie's being good with the bandage removed. You're doing awesome with the fasts!

@trooworld You definitely have to go to the garden more now that you've discovered it! Today's the peak of the heatwave, it's 113 and pretty miserable! LOL I'm glad you went on the ride, the whole fair sounds like a blast! Haha I'd race for an oreo!

@DrewsAnna Your windows look great, what a big difference in being able to see out! I had some replaced about two years ago that had broken seals and they look so much better. I hope you got the workout in and made the veggie snack packs!

@annachanges again That's no problem on the weigh in I logged it for you, enjoy the last day on vacation!

Hi friends, had a mellow day I only went out to get some potting mix and it's too hot to do more than water the yard. Today's the peak of the heatwave at 113, hopefully next weekend we'll at least be out of the 100s though it's predicted as 99 and 98. I'm meeting my Dad for coffee tomorrow, aside of that have been doing a lot of resting. Have a great Sunday everyone!

As you can see I’ve been struggling the past few weeks, also clear from my absolute lack of engagement here. I’m sorry. I have to make some adjustments to my lifestyle and attitude and I need to do it now.

@trooworld Bummer that the pineapple shrimp didn’t live up to your expectations, and for that amount of money it should have! Fair food is always so outrageously priced. HaHa, I would race for an Oreo too! :D

@DrewsAnna Your new windows are beautiful! I love the black trim. It’s hard to focus on anything healthy when it’s so hot, but you just need to do what you can. I have some veggies in my fridge that I need to prep today. We eat a lot of sandwiches, and I’ve decided to stop eating chips and switch to carrot and celery sticks. Still crunchy and much healthier! :)

@Katmary71 Ugghhh 113 makes me almost want to stop griping about us being in the 90s. :D I’m glad you are resting and taking care of yourself. Have a good time with your dad. :)

@megnolia82 We all have our tough weeks. The key is NEVER to give up, so yes, work on adjusting what you can, and the results will follow. :)

Good morning! It's another hot and humid day here. We will go to church this morning. My sister is staying home today to keep an eye on Maggie. She would probably be OK, but we don’t want to take any chances that she would stress out with us all gone. I have yet to do a full 24-hour fast, but today is the day! *fingers crossed!* :D I did well the last couple of days with no snacks or junk food. I keep thinking about what it really takes to lose weight: Not eating more than two or three meals a day, eat whole food and not junk food, no snacking between meals, and exercising. What if that is all it takes, and we don’t need “diets?” I think it’s something worth trying because I hate diets! I don’t want to ever track or eliminate whole food groups again. And since I’m an experiment of one, it’s worth me giving it a try. :)

@rrooworld I only put in veggies because my protein source changes almost daily.

    Hi everyone ☺️

I did a 20-min workout yesterday and it felt good. My feet were hurting all day, but I worked 💪 I didn't make my veggie snack packs yesterday and I saw it on the scale this morning. Today, I'm going to do another workout and make those darn snack packs.

My hubby put in the AC yesterday and it was nice. Today, it will be a little more comfortable to move around. I really don't like 90+ degree temps.

I really don't have any plans today aside from working out and making snack packs.

    Yall have a great day!

It is called Camp Electric. It's a Christian musician camp. My daughter is here and she asked me apply to be a chaperone. I have no idea what I'm doing. I thought I was just going to help corral the kids but it's so much more than that. I am very stressed.

Very hot and humid here for the last two days, and the upcoming four days looks like more of the same with temperatures in the 90s. We did a lot of walking, probably 10 miles today.

@19shmoo69 - take a few deep breaths. It's just kids and music. Just be glad that you aren't teaching them to drive. You got this.

@megnolia82 Hugs my friend, you got this!

@TeresaW2024 It's worth a try to see if you can avoid a strict diet right? I think a “secret” way to do it is to keep meals in the calorie range you're used to without actually logging everything if that makes sense. I think I could do that but I like seeing all the stats so I usually log.

@trooworld Understandable not wanting to drive that IS a long commute. That's too bad the farmer's market was disappointing, I feel that way about my town's market not being worth it (especially as it's on hilly grass and I trip everywhere). Hope you had a good relaxing day getting ready for the week.

@DrewsAnna Great plan for today to workout and make those snack packs, you got this too!

@Digger61 @maryirisfroelich @davors19 Great job top winners this week!

@19shmoo69 You'll do great and if you need help ask some of the people that have been doing this longest, I'm sure they'd have some good advice.

@miacroo4 Wow that IS a lot of walking! It's going to be a hot week my garden is miserable with all these 110+ days.

Hi team! Met my Dad for coffee this morning and to pass rent along. Annoyed with my roommate but it's a long story. One of my closest friends is having her son move back from Atlanta and he'll need to be close to work at first during the week so she'd asked me if I'd rent to him during the week. May be a way to change things around and have someone I'm more compatible with who rates rent as a responsibility and not something to ask for back after 24 hours when ends aren't meeting. It's sad how much basic stuff like rent before having pot doesn't compute for some people. Not much else going on, made Skinnytaste's Chicken Caprese Skillet with tomatoes and basil from the yard and am headed outside now to water, everything looks like it's dying from all this heat it's frustrating it's so hot! Got my workout in, wasn't super energetic but it's done. Have a great Monday team!

@trooworld Diets don’t work, which is a sad truth. Another sad truth is that 95% of all people who lose weight will quit and gain it back. What sets this group apart is that we might have setbacks like I had for the last couple of years, but we never fully give up on ourselves. That is to be celebrated! :)

@19shmoo69 I’m sure you will do fine at the camp. Just pray for peace and help. :)

@Katmary71 Yeah, I’ve counted calories for so many years that I pretty much know when I’m going over them. :) Ugh, on that roommate! I hope you can see an end to the stress he keeps putting you under.

@laurelfit57 I do admire you going outside in 90-degree weather. I make it my goal to go from AC to AC at all times! :D

@DrewsAnna Those snack trays look so good. Will you have a dip for the veggies? Great job on your workout and reaching your step goal! 🙂

Good morning! Well, I finally did my 24-hour fast yesterday. It wasn’t that hard once I got past the lunch hour. For dinner, I made a yummy chicken cordon blue casserole with broccoli. This afternoon, Maggie will get her staples out. She has slowly started using the leg, and I think once the staples are out, she will even more. It’s not good for her to keep jumping on the good leg, and I really don’t want to pay for another surgery anytime soon! :# I wanted to share a podcast I’ve been listening to from Jason Seib, the Diligent Mind Self-Care program owner. That program cost money, but he has a really good free podcast that has the same information he shares in his paid program. They are short and really worth listening to in my opinion. :)

    Good morning,

Congratulations @digger61 @maryirisfroehlich and @davors19 for being the top winners this week. Great job y'all!

@TeresaW2024 Your idea of eating the right foods and staying away from junk food is correct. Protein begin the focus on each meal. I have also read that as we get older that we do not need to workout as hard as the younger crowds do. We tend to put too much stress on our bodies which hurts us instead of helping us.

@19shmoo69 Have a blast with camp don't stress, you will do great.

    @micaroo4 Great job with walking.

@DrewsAnna Your windows look great. Your snack packs look refreshing.

@trooworld I'm sorry the farmer's market was not what you expected. I wish we had a market around here. I would love to get fresh veggies instead of the grocery store veggies.

@Katmary71 I am sorry you are having problems with your roommate again. I hope you get things worked out.

@laurelfit57 Love the pics from the river. Looks like they were worn out.

Well the BBQ went great, all the kids enjoyed the water slide. I was not able to get pictures due to playing the host role. I did over eat a bit. But now we are back on track.
Hubby made a decision yesterday to start changing things up for himself. He has jumped on the wagon of getting fit. He got up this morning at 6 and is in the rec room working out. I will support him by making sure we eat right so that I don't sabotage his goals.
For me, yesterday was a very lazy day, but I am feeling motivated by his decision and will do the same today. It's time to get moving. It's a new day to make better decisions.
I am on the count down to hopefully having Diesel home on Sunday.

    Have a great Monday!
