I do have a schedule I prefer. When work schedules me as the second person in and first lunch. My day goes so much better. As my co-workers can't get to work on time I am usually first person in. 🙄 I try to swap lunches to have the first lunch but this doesn't always work. First lunch is 11 second lunch noon third is 1pm. Hopefully the position I want will get posted soon. That job has the perfect schedule as all I have to worry about is myself.

Today I did more prep for the move. I am the person who is organized. I keep getting we can just wing it. Please, I can't wing it. I don't want to struggle I want things to go smoothly. Let me make my lists and get things ready.

Was going to buy a grab stick for seniors. Anybody have suggestions what's the best? I need one for my parents.

@Tabatha_Cain , NICE JOB at work Tabatha!! WTG!! Okay, I gotta ask, what is life referral? So strange how some kids think life is all about pleasing only their own self!! GOOD JOB having him make that choice!! And like a child, he packed up his toys and went home. Instead of taking the opportunity to get a job. Hopefully, this will help him. NO FRIENDS will put up with anyone not pulling their weight.
@Macrat12, this is the old Portland Maine chamber of commerce. I was with a friend who knows someone who works in the building now. It's VERY RARE anyone who's not a worker ever gets in here. It is STUNNING!! WOW!! It's AMAZING!!

@Patti241, HI Patti!! How did the day go?
@Kurtize, GREAT Way to help avoid anxiety!!
@Sweetpeasmom55, That would be so awesome if you get the job you want!! A nice lunch schedule would be great. OH I SURE DID GIGGLE when you said our coworkers think it's okay to WING IT!! OOHHHHH NOOOO!!! NOOOOO!!! OH NOOOOO WAY!! LOLOLOL OH MY!!! For a grab stick, one that has an extender is nicer, because some items are closer to the reachable level there's no excess stick hanging backward to deal with. One that can grip EASILY because arthritic hands, as we age our hands do not squeeze easily. Oh and if it can NOT BE BLACK!!! OH, WHY do they make things BLACK!!! Its so hard to see when seeing is already hard!!!

    Good Morning Airport Friends:

I hope you are all doing well this morning. Today is Thursday and I cannot believe we are on Thursday already. We are moving so fast through the week. I got my ultrasound results. Not sure what the doctor wants to do because I got the results from the hospital app before my doctor has had a chance to go over it and give me a call. I have 2 cysts on my left ovary. One simple and one complex. I have 2 larger fibroids inside my uterus and several insignificant smaller ones. I have now developed small Nabothian cysts on my cervix. I knew something was going on due to increased pain at times, but I don't really do anything about it because well there is not much I can do about it. So hopefully we will see. We also have my husband seeing a specialist as his Kidney stone grew larger. So now he is starting to have random pains in regards to that. So we are both a mess apparently.

@SweetPeasMom55 - I love my routine as well. I am a creature of habit. I am sorry you are being told to wing it. I don't ever wing it unless I am on the back of a motorcycle and letting my husband decide where we are going. He usually plans the motorcycle routes as a date type thing.
@Dianedoessmiles1 - A life referral is just asking someone if they would be willing to talk to someone about Life insurance. Then I get their information and send it over to the Life Agents. It is hard to get anyone to do that. Those that know they need life insurance most likely have it already. I did have one person tell me in the past that he would be dead so his funeral was not his problem. I do hope this move will help Joe's son grow up. His friends are only going to help him so much.

Well I hope you all have a wonderful Thursday.

@Tabatha_Cain My Dad and Sister both suffer from kidney stones. I believe both had a stone analyzed to determine what the cause was. The procedure to blast them isn't painful it's passing the stones that's A killer. Best of luck to him. Would love to know what the doctor suggests for you. My daughter has a lot of that too. I would love to point her in a direction to get help.

@Dianedoessmiles1 That's very helpful on the grab stick. Definitely stuff I didn't think about.

Today I am boxing up more stuff to move next door. Once we move a demolition crew comes in to redo our area into offices. So once we leave there's no going back for anything left behind. Definitely something the girls have forgotten about. I am not dumpster diving for them. 😂 Let me be my organized little self and get things done. Before covid we were a dept. of 12 people. Now we are down to five. I definitely can get what we need set it aside and won't be touching anything we are presently using.

    Have a great day everyone!!

@Tabatha_Cain, I learn so much more from my medical portal than I do from the Drs!!! I had my ovaries taken out at 48, the best thing I EVER DID!! At that point, there was NO way I wanted to be popping out kids!! Sure it threw me into menopause, but I was young enough it made that easier in my mind. Whatever you face, we are here with you. It's so strange, how we ALL KNOW We do not make it out of life, alive, but so many hate the idea of dying. Well of course we do. I have everything all set though and it's a relief to know that. Joe's son will soon see that growing up is mandatory!! Being a child in a man's body is never appealing.
@Sweetpeasmom55, Awww you're welcome!!! If you can afford 2 of them, one for the car (Grocery shopping is so hard for me!!! I do not use one because it's a 2L of soda I want and they are on the TOP SHELF!! I am 5'2" which is not easy. I am a heart patient, putting my arms above my shoulder level it's too much. I have a friend who's 4'11" (okay I think it's more of 4'9" but she walks very confidently!! I rarely think of her height, she's such a great friend.) who uses the grab/reach bar. She's taught me so much about them. OH, I HOPE the move goes well for work. I worked for the city of Portland, we moved Social Services out of city hall to an easier place to park, and a little easier for our clients. Parking was a HUGE deal to a very nice parking lot. BUT!! All we had to do was box up our personal items. The city did the rest of it. Thankfully!! Everything arrived safely. I remember freaking out since I was the person who handed out the food stamps (at that time they were paper in various books of $1, $5, $10. $20. They were printed in large batches. Most were left in the vault at city hall, but of course, enough for the week coming was transferred by movers. THANKFULLY no one stole any. I didn't have to box up anything. They did it all.
@Patti241 GOOD DAY Patti!!! Hope you are enjoying the day.

Hi all good afternoon, Didn't get much done today. Don had a appt. with the Urologist. He will have to have surgery on the 5th of Nov. The dr. said that will tell if he will need another surgery. We took the house off the market until we know how everything will turn out. It would be just our luck to get an offer and we couldn't move when they wanted to move in. He has to be at the hospital early so we are going to board Kayla, she had been there for day care but this will be her first time away from us at night. Hoping she will do ok. It is 73 out and windy. I am enjoying the fall weather. I had a good nights sleep but right now very tired. Love all the pet pictures. Hugs and blessings all

With only one more day to take measurements, this is probably a little late, but I haven't taken mine yet and just thought of it tonight. I am a breast cancer survivor who had a single mastectomy and used to be thrown when asked to take chest measurements until I was given this tip:

Put one end of the tape measure on your spine and bring it around your remaining breast to your sternum. Then multiply that number by 2.

It's a small thing, but when I was given this information, it made such a difference! Hope it helps someone even if it's not seen until after the measurement deadline.

I limit posting in public forums, but as long as I'm here, @Kurtize , praying for you and your hubby, that all goes well with the surgery, for peace, and that your home will sell quickly for you when you put it back on the market. Hugs!

    Good Morning Airport Friends:

I hope you are all doing well this morning. Today is Friday and I am so glad it is. I really need a break. I am so tired and cranky today. I just can feel it. Really bad. I almost feel like taking a nap this morning before going to work. Not sure what else to do. May even call into work. Not sure yet.

@SweetPeasMom55 - I will definitely let you know. My appt is 3 weeks away. Not happy about that but it is all they had available. I have PCOS and have had it for years. This is the first time though I have had more than 1 cyst on an ovary at a time. Never had any Fibroids until recently, and never had any cysts on my cervix like they say now. So we will see what they want to do. I do hope you get everything moved over to the new place.
@Dianedoessmiles1 - Me too. My portal is my friend. In 3 weeks I will see my OB-GYN and they will decide what to do. I am just going to let them decide. My husband made a comment about how I seem to be pushing a surgery. So I am just not going to say anything anymore. I won't mention being in pain or anything. Just do my day to day until I cannot anymore.
@Kurtize - I hope everything goes well for Don. I am sure one overnight will be ok for Kayla.

Well I hope you all have a wonderful Friday.

@Tabatha_Cain I really don't think our husbands/partners get the pain we endure at times. It also floors me that depending where you live depends on what you can have done. I live in NY I had an ablation done in my early 40's to stop the non stop periods. My sister lives in VA they won't do ablation only a hysterectomy which she doesn't want. In NY I had one high risk pregnancy. At 25 I chose to have my tubes tied. The doctor did not question me or ask permission from my spouse/partner. My daughter lives in TN and at 31 with a lot of health complications may not get her tubes tied without a consent letter from spouse/partner. It's not his body why would I need or any woman need their consent. I'm on team Tabatha do whatever you need to get relief. If it's surgery so be it.🤗

@DNjoys TY TY TY TY!!! That's an excellent hint for other survivors, we have quite a few with us. So happy you are a survivor. We know you to be very kind hearted and a fighter (in a positive way) it's a JOY to know you.
@Tabatha_Cain It's hard for men, most have that "I'm a fixer!" But Joe can't fix this in any way for you. Its hard on them to feel they can't "fix" us and make us happy. I'd want surgery, especially since I had it done (at 48 that's young though not drastically) it was awesome!! All of that pain etc. was gone!! My Mom was so funny in menopause that I knew to follow suit, Weirdly I had very little signs of it. Not that I minded that, it was just strange. We are here with you. It's hard knowing something is going on when we have to wait. Tabatha, may it bring you comfort that when its an emergency they act immediately. Since they are not rushing you right into surgery, it gives you the time to get used to the idea, etc. If they do say surgery you'll have time to freeze meals for an easier time etc.
@Sweetpeasmom55 that's interesting how various states do things differently.
@Patti241 TY TY TY TY!! I am having a good day. In an hour I'll be with another Dianne. LOL The 2 of us have quite a sense of humor. WHO KNOWS what either one of us will say, and where that will lead us, but we usually have others laughing quite hard! I hope today you get to be outside and enjoy the fall(ish) air. Our trees are at their peak now.

@Patti241 is it nice enough to get outside today? Do you usually get out daily? I can't believe it, but this HH (Healthy Habit) has shown me many days I DO NOT GET OUT!!! I am not sure when that changed, but it has.
@Macrat12, LOL is that a coincident National Sweet Day aligns with the 31st? I had to giggle. All about the money, and ways people can make more. Even in a very depressed economy people still will do what they can for a tiny sweet occasionally. May our country not hit that point.

So I am onto another DYI project. I popped into our Value home center. Its less than a mile from my house. So I booped in and grabbed what I needed. Left it on the manager counter and she goes see you in a few minutes. I went out to the car bought the stuff on line and saved $30.00 Popped back in and Angie says love your online shopping Sue here you go. 😂 Stores should just let me have the sale without having me work for it.

@baodell17724 My husband has to have high protein diet as he is on ozempic. Nuts, cottage cheese and Greek yogurt are my go to for protein. By the way it definitely bothers me he gets a shot and I have to bust my tuckus.

From almost everything I've read, going on any weight-loss drug, you probably will gain the weight all back, once you go off the drugs. I don't see it as a cure-all, unless you learn to eat clean, cut-out 90% of junk food and processed foods and exercise regularly, while ON the medication. Like the 'experts' say, it IS a lifestyle change. Those of us losing weight the "old-fashioned" way of just diet and exercise, are in a much better situation for the rest of our lives, IMHO.

@baodell17724 I know your right as he is definitely not trying and bought himself a pie. Thank goodness it's not something I like so it's not a temptation. He is my biggest saboteur he buys all the junk food. I won't spend the money on junk and that's all he buys. As long as I don't have it I'm good. I'm definitely the once I have one it's all downhill from there. I tell the girls you know the m&m's says the sharing bag but who actually shares when you open that bad boy in the car. Go for the individual bag you will eat less. My coworkers say they hear me in their heads more than their mother. LOL

@Sweetpeasmom55, Oh I agree!! Prices should be the same be it in person or online. GOOD Job knowing to look!! Nice saving. What are you doing an DIY? Here's a TV stand I did. I got it at Goodwill for $3. It was a MESS!!! It had huge dings and missing edges. TY TY TY for wood putty I filled those in. Sanded the entire thing. It was all black. I am not a fan of all black. The top I did as a paint pour!! It came out FANTASTIC!! This was 3 years go, it looks just as good today as did the night I finished it. I painted the bottom half one of the blues in the paint pour.
    2r9p786sptsb.png
LOLOL I agree the sharable bags are not shared usually. Like you I buy small bars of things (think Dollar Tree 1.25 for 6 small bars) they are perfect for me now. I fill up on real food, junk food is only a taste. No longer a meal.
@baodell17724 , you are very correct. I started off on Sparkpeople (Closed 2021 we came over to MFP) in 2010. During that time I've seen so many crazy things people do!! BUT!! Unless they do it through a diet they can continue to enjoy and exercise, they do regain it. Often times a new person will cut out most if not all of the ones they love the most. It rarely lasts overall. But, for those who learn portion control and putting in healthier foods along with them, along with exercise, they are the long term winners.
@Kurtize, LOVE THAT one also, please if you didn't post it also on PS4L. Joyce and I are both Extra Leaders on the Positively Strong 4 Life team. I was a challenge leader, but realized being both an Over ALl Leader and CL was too much. In the best interest of taking care of myself I knew the limit. Oh yes @Tabatha_Cain is also a leader on Fit Force (our competition!) as a weigh in leader.
