Happy Halloween!! This morning, Joe has his 4-month CT scan, and then I will drag him to the church so I can do payroll and grab the contributions so I can do end-of-month stuff. Tonight, I will hand out candy to any kiddos who knock on the door.

Nothing for pain; antibiotics for 7 days. She said take ibuprofen for pain. Doesn't seem to be working very well.

Hi gang! I'm waiting for my chicken pumpkin chili to finish in the Instant Pot, I hope it does before my class tonight! Last night went well for the Let It Snow committee and the afternoon meeting went well too, we had some new people come out which is awesome. We have an issue with our treasurer that's a big deal, I'm hoping he pulls through as I like him a lot but he's behind on filing a bunch of paperwork that's affecting everything we do. I had my surgeon follow-up and my back's fused well, it was worth the surgery for the back pain alone just wish the nerves had improved some with the fusions. My rheumatology appointment is finally scheduled at the end of Dec. Had a good greenhouse morning and am about to try a new recipe with some Futsu winter squash I freezed last year, hoping it's good as it just finished cooking. Have a great Friday!3 -

I have been up and down on my diary logging. I am doing better. I am on day 3 of no bready carbs. I went to texas roadhouse (my favorite lunch deal for protein) and skipped the buns. The aroma was calling out to me. 😂

Finally over being sick, but I must have vastly underestimated my calories. In the 3 weeks I was sick, I jumped 9 lb.! Some of that is birthday cake season at my house, but the numbers just aren't adding up, so I must be underestimating somehow. I'm up a shirt size and a pant size. It's not a great feeling. The scale is currently my enemy.6

Good morning Slims,
Normally I have Fridays off, but it's the first day of the month, and that means inventory. I went in at 4, and worked 5 hours. Now I'm home to rest for a bit. I don't know if the antibiotics are working yet; my face hurts. My upper left jaw hurts. The roof of my mouth hurts. I have a headache, and I can't remember if I've already taken ibuprofen. I set the timer for 20 minutes; if everything still hurts just as much when the timer goes off, it means I probably didn't take it yet.

Yesterday, was a good day, I didn't exercise, but I got a lot accomplished. I call that a win. My food choices have been on point and I'm glad. Lol... I have been eating the candy.
It's time I started logging in my diary again. It really helps because, if you don't want to log it, don't eat it.

@morenin I'm glad you aren't sick now! Like @DrewsAnna just said time to log again so you can look at it in black and white for possible issues. I usually gain when I'm sick from all the sodium from crackers and soup. I hear ya on the scale as enemy!

Hi friends! We've had rain off and on and it's on it's way again, forgot how tough the cold and rain is on me. I was up and down most the night and was snappy with a friend of mine but I explained what was going on and stopped being a grump before it hurt our friendship. Made it to the greenhouse, checked on my garden bed, cleaned, and did a little shopping. A friend is supposed to come by tonight to pick up her bike but I'm going to take a bath and put my pjs on if she doesn't call soon and crawl into bed and read. Have a great Saturday!2 -

Antibiotics are working; my sinus pain is mostly gone and I don't need ibuprofen. I'm still not back to exercising, but I'm going to try to catch up with the house work.

I have been introduced to Power Project. It's a program for people who are pre-diabetic or all the way in a diabetic. I'm all the way in. I heard about it from my sister in love. Since joining, I have been more conscious of my numbers, the foods I eat and moving better. There is a coach available all the time and I am on a team. There are so many tools available. I feel encouraged. I'm proud of my numbers and am encouraged!
On another note, I will be having knee surgery a week from Monday. I have been struggling with these knees over five years and am tired of hurting. I will get the left one done first. I'm ready for it to be over and the healing process to begin. They say it's pain like you've never imagined. I figure, if others have made it through, then I can too.3 -

Dairy free yesterday, skipped cheese on my burger, my latte was made with oatmilk. I dropped 2 lb. overnight, my stomach is less bloated than yesterday, I woke up without nausea, my digestion is happy, and my skin cleared up some. I'm just going to have to learn to love dairy free I guess! My current allergy tally is... pretty amazing. I am physically incapable of being vegetarian or vegan. Being very glad I live in a time and place where I can still eat around my allergies!1
