I’ve set a goal to be out of the 160s before our cruise in Feb. Vacation is always a good incentive for me. My 2025 goal is to finally reach my UGW. I’m 23 pounds away.

Okay...16 pounds of belly and back fat must go! No more junk...that includes graham crackers! My sweet husband said I can STOP buying them. That means he will stop eating them, too. That works for me!
I must eat healthy! And walk much more than I'm currently walking!!
We are having the kids over tomorrow for dinner. I'll make the new soup and we'll have bread with it. The kids will order dessert. I'll have to put the soup recipe in the MFP calculator and see what I come up with.
I don't want to live in extra large shirts any more!!
We can do whatever we set our minds to do.
Let's do it! Happy 2025, my very good friends!

Ladies we seem to have a bit of work cutout for us. I also want to get into the 140's and stay thete. I currently bounce up and down. 149-151

I am still working out regularly. Did take New Year's eve and today off. Needed a break. Chris I will do one of the exercises you posted tomorrow. I need a change.

Floor was measured today for our new carpet. Excited. Took advantage of some New Year sales and bought 2 merino wool long sleeve tops. Bought size large. Medium was tempting, but decided to stick with the large. Both long sleeve. I love my others. Soft and warm.

Yesterday, I had ordered groceries and made soup for today and was going to walk a little. I was going to walk around the school when Pat and Ronan let me know they were going over to our park so Ronan could ride his new weird funny-lay-down on it bike. So I walked around the park while they messed around and Ronan aimed for the mud again and again. I got 1.68 miles in 39 mins done. Funny thing is that it was hard!! I don't know if it was that I'd had gallons of coffee or it was late in the day or what...but I trudged along...trudged. ugh!
Today I did exactly 5.0 miles in 100 mins and the first part of the walk was hard! It took me a long time to get to a 20 minute mile.I decided I needed new shoes and pulled some down, fixed the insides and am ready for my next adventure.
Sara isn't feeling well so just Ronan came over to play with Grandpa today. I sent soup and French Bread with Pat when he p/u Ronan.
The rest of my day is reading and drinking coffee!!
    Have a great Thursday ladies!

I did 60 minutes on recumbent bike, arms strength training and abs workout. Following a young lady on the “Gram” who’s doing a January veggie detox for the 4th year in a row. So far the recipes have been pretty good. I’ll see how long I can do this.

Chris I hope changing shoes helps. Must reach your UGW. Hope Sara feels better soon. Walking around a small area is hard in itself.

Kathy post a recipe you like from the veggie detox. I love a great recipe.

Paid bills today. Some of those last minute shopping ones. Of course there are a couple still out there. I did get 2 new 100% merino wool sweaters last night. Love those New Year sales.
Went out with a couple of my friends tonight for dinner. Mainly just wanted to catch up.

I wish you all well in reaching your goals.

Happy New Year to everyone and may your 2025 be blessed!

My new year's wish is for a rested healed warrior spirit. As Chris said many years ago:
     STRENGTH
I've been keeping the couch warm and my diet is totally derailed. But tomorrow is a new day and there's no whiskey left in the cupboard. I don't get plastered, just take the edge off. But sometimes the edge is where the fight comes from.

Busy day. Grocery run and bill pay. 45 mins on recumbent, 2 FitOn walking workouts, arms strength training and core workout.

Paula hang you’ll get your mojo back. You were doing great towards the end of the year. Can’t wait until you get out of the 200s again. You’re so close.

Shelley I will post a recipe soon. She doesn’t post exact recipes but puts up reels showing herself making the dishes. She gives ingredients but not exact measurements which is okay for me because that’s how I cook anyway.

I met with my trainer today for a 60 min workout. I was still a slug and she went easy on me. Maybe it's the weather...
I will walk tomorrow to the Ruins and back. New shoes are ready.
My sweet husband baked me a russet potato tonight. It's been a long time since we've done that. It was good. Only ate half...saving the other half for tomorrow.
Have a great weekend, my friends.

No walking today. My trainer told me to take it easy and she was right. I feel wonky today. Don't know if I would have made it to the Ruins and back. And now I'm having a hot flash!! ugh.
The kids dropped of Ronan and are taking Collin for a drive to see if he'll nap. I gave him a bear to take with him. :D
I hope tomorrow is different and I can walk to the post office and back.

Paula I also can't wait until you get back into onederland. Whiskey, egads so glad you are out. Stuff will steal your mojo. I am excited for you. You are ready to rock and roll.

Kathy my husband cooks like that. I am a lousy cook. Unless it is french toast. You really rocked today. You should be proud.

Chris hope you feel better. My inspiration has been lacking.

Went furniture shopping. What a pain. Finally settled on a small sectional. Will be over 2 months for delivery.

I took it easy today just 60 minutes on recumbent. No strength or weights today. Tomorrow will be a true rest day as I’m going to the Falcons last game with Ron. But I will get in some steps walking from the parking lot to the stadium and back.

Shelley something tells me you don’t like shopping at all. 😀 I’m up at 3:00 am watching tennis. Hopefully team USA will win the United Cup. Coco Gauff won the first match. Now we just need one more. I’m going to be so tired in the morning and have to be at Ron’s by 11:00. His house is closer to the stadium.

Kathy!! What? 3:00 A!M!??? NOOOO ! It's the weekend! ...Hope you have fun at the game..no sleeping there.
Shelley, I'm not crazy about shopping either...unless it's with Sara. Then it's a blast and great day!
Paula, you will find your mojo and get up off the couch. You know walking is the easiest way to get your mind back in the game. I'm always talking to myself on my walks about what needs to be done. Just Do It, Paula. Come on... :)<3
I'm feeling much better today. I'll be putting my new shoes on in a bit and going to the post office and back. I'm looking forward to it. What a rough three or four days.
I might be back to let you all know how it went.
Have a really great Sunday, my friends.

Kathy, You crack me up! 60 minutes is great!

My current regimen is arm lifts over my head whenever I think of it. So walking in the hall, sitting on the couch, right now, I just stop and lift those arms.

I know it's peanuts, but it's actually helping. Ten reps used to turn my arms into wet noodles. Then a couple days ago it was surprising to be able to double that. It's sad to be so out of shape, but amazing to improve so easily.

Chris, It was a little alarming to read about your feeling wonky for multiple days. Doesn't sound like your usual self at all. Glad you're feeling better.

Thanks, Paula. Yeah, it was so strange. My trainer said I might have been fighting off some illness. Who knows? I'm okay now.
My walk was great! 5.43 miles in 108 mins. Used my umbrella a little. Saw two ducks in the canal for the first time in months. Passed a few folks, not many. My mail went right to the bottom of the blue box. My new shoes were great!
Tomorrow we'll have Collin in the morning and Ronan in the afternoon to play w/Grandpa. I'm planning on getting Collin in the stroller and going over to see the animals. Yeah, we'll see...it's hard when a two-year-old is in charge. :D
    Later, my friends.

Kathy I agree with Paula. 60 minutes is great. Up at 3:00 to watch tennis? You are dedicated. That alone should be cause for USA to win. Have fun at the game with Ron. And I do like shopping mostly. I can never find what I want. I wanted a heated massage love seat without the center piece for cups. Nope only a chair or sofa.

Chris your walks sound amazing. Wish mine were. Walking is a great way to get back into moving.

Paula what Chris said. You can do it again. Put a cat in a stroller for company. I walk Libby in her stroller. So much fun. It's her turn to push next time. ;)

Cleaned tanks today. Walked the dogs a mile. Anything more than that we have to carry Libby. The baby mollies are growing quickly.

    Shelley,

I'm afraid I use Amazon for almost all my shopping. It just puts thousands of products at my fingertips. I googled "massage chair love seat" on Amazon and got dozens of choices, mostly recliners... But if your interest is piqued, here's one:

One of my more persuasive demons popped into my brain at the grocery store yesterday and whispered, "You already blew it, it won't hurt to get just one dairy-free cookie... and even maybe a couple more..."

Then another part of my brain said something really surprising, "Gee, that's a great idea and fun to think about. And y'know what, just envisioning the taste brings pleasure. But that's satisfaction enough right now. Because I haven't really blown it, those ten pounds might be water weight that comes off easily, and I don't need to lose the few successful days currently under my belt, by hitting the restart button with you again today. Plus, you never mention the long-lasting guilt, triggers and despair that accompany that fleeting pleasure."

It was all so calm, peaceful and strong. This angel, my logic, is not usually calm and strong around food. It was pleasantly surprising to find myself at the checkout an hour later, with no cookies in the cart.

And as of this morning, I've lost three pounds, probably water weight, but it's there.

    Namaste,
    Paula

Paula, good going with three pounds lost! Your conversation w/your brain was awesome! Amazon is my drug, too!
Karen, the last cold I got was killer. I coughed for a long time. Doc gave me a couple of good meds for it. I hope you feel better soon.
Shelley, Thanks. My walks are pretty fun most of the time. I'm hoping to walk tomorrow after Collin is p/u. He and I walked over to the animal farm today and ran into a whole lot of thick fog...cold thick fog. I could not get us home fast enough.
I had my trainer today for a 60 min workout. It was a good session.

Chris I laughed at the thought of you furiously pushing Collin as fast as possible. I have never been able to buy furniture off of any online store. I have to sit in it. I wanted it in gray without a console. That was a big no go. Oh well next time maybe. Amazon can be addictive.

Karen get well. And I also enjoyed myself a bit to much. Back at it. Keep the evening snacks away. Let us know how the jury selection went.

Paula you are amazing. Talking yourself into not getting those cookies. And those first pounds must come off to prove that you are doing it. So fun to hear your thoughts.

Worked out at the gym tonight. It was intense. But I talked myself through it. Tomorrow is a commissioner's meeting.

Well the football season is over. The Falcons loss the final game of the season. No playoffs. At least I have tennis now. Continuing my veggie detox for January. Even at the stadium I was able to find a hibachi kiosk and got a veggie bowl. No hotdog or hamburger.

No exercise Sunday or Monday. Back at it today. It is cold in Atlanta as well.

    Have a great week ladies.

Recumbent 60 minutes and upper body strength training completed today. Need to get to the grocery store in the morning I’m running out of veggies and fruit. I’m going to make a vegetable soup.

Other than working out, I had a very lazy day. Laundry and housework tomorrow.

Shelley, it was like the movies how fast the fog moved! Today, however, was sunny and cold and windy!! Good job at the gym. How was the meeting?
Kathy, Good job on the bike! And with the veggie detox. What is that, btw??
We had Collin this morning. SIL didn't have any clients, but we took Collin anyway. Ronan came over around noon when Collin was p/u. It was way to cold and windy for a stroller walk this morning. I had to convince myself to put my shoes on and walk to the post office and back after Collin was p/u. Two or three times this morning I came up with great excuses...I'm old...it's windy and cold...blaaaa. But I put those shoes on and went!! 5.41 miles in 106 mins...I did get hot and had to take off my jacket!!!
I made soup when I got home. Now I am sitting, going to have some soup and read my book.

Chris so glad you talked yourself out of being old and got it done. Walking is who you are. And my soup creator.

Kathy great job. You are doing a great job on your eating. I think I would have caved and had a hotdog.
