Good morning Shape Shifters. I got groceries yesterday morning and bought food for 5 days. I got some treats for myself as well, but nothing too crazy and I didn't even eat the frozen pizza I bought. So I guess that will be the treat for next Wednesday. My walk on the pad was really nice; I just zoned out with music and did 4.02 km / 46 minutes. Body felt good! Cleaned the kitchen and did the dishes so I am all set to cook my favourite potato/broccoli/veggie burger meals again. Oh yes, I am also getting the money back for the bee hotels. Very happy with that since it was almost 68 euros, a lot. Happy Thursday everyone
Favourite song that played on the Flower Power radio during my walk:

Happy with that as I had 3 meetings yesterday. That's the reason we all go to the office on Wednesdays so that we can meet in person at least once a week. Means a lot of sitting onconference rooms though. Also, my adapter arrived yesterday so I can charge my Garmin now. WOOT! I've been trying to scroll through all of the ortions and figure out what some of the things like Body Battery are trying to tell me. Information overload with this one. LOL Still frigid here so none of Monday's snow is melting, but it's supposed to be sunny so if it isn't too windy I will venture outside for a walk later. Have a great day everyone!5 -

Yesterday was day 5 of 7 of running a 5k on the treadmill. It was significantly easier than day 1, which I'm pleased with.
The boys' therapy appointment is in the afternoon today. Since mornings are a bit colder than I would like to take the boys out in, I don't think we'll make it on a walk. I'm thinking I'll go to the store instead.
I'm still working at improving my diet. I think my meals are decent enough, but all of the little bites here and there are adding up, so im trying to eliminate that. It's still a work in progress. Today's big goal is to track EVERYTHING I put in mouth.5 -
I'm being an absolute cranky bear so far today. It's been a pretty high pain morning so far and I have quite a lot to do. The non-negotiables are taking the car to the mechanics and, since my dad woke up this morning throwing up, taking care of him. I feel bad because I already snapped at him a bit this morning when I hadn't taken my pain medication yet... *sigh*
Luckily, food-wise, most of my meals today are just leftovers, so I just need to stick to the plan. But Dad wants homemade chicken noodle soup, so I am thinking seriously about just going to the store and nabbing some pre-chopped veg so I don't have to use my shoulder that much. Right now, I just feel like crawling back into bed, but I'm going to get up and do some yoga and breathing exercises instead, so that I can be less cranky later when he wakes up.6 -

Sorry, forgot to post these. My step goal is 10,000, but if it's too late to be added, that's ok.
Hope everyone is off too a good new year. I've been good at working out on my days off so far. My diet has been OK, but the days I work are a struggle. But still trying to keep it in check. My goal is to be down 20 pounds by July. I'm trying to do intermittent fasting again and stick to 1500 calories7 -
@jessicakrall8 Will you add a row for our steppers so Angela can be added? I don't want to break the sheet. Thanks.1

Good morning Shape Shifters. Yesterday morning started with some cleaning. I went to scoop a pile of number 2 out of the litterbox and saw it was squished. Tinus had stepped in it for the first time ever. It was easy to sniff out with which paw. I used some pet shampoo in a big plastic mug, added warm water and dunked his back leg in it to clean it. Tinus didn't approve, but it worked well! Then I repeated it twice more with clean water to get the soap off. No more smell after that. I also put all the blankets he likely stepped/sat on in the laundry and I mopped the kitchen and living room floor. It wasn't a big deal and I think it had just happened so hopefully Tinus didn't try to groom that paw, yuck. I got the 3 sports leggings I ordered delivered. They feel very nice and fit well. I am really excited to go the gym so it sucks a bit I have to wait another 3,5 weeks for my appointment. I walked on the pad for 30 minutes which is the minimum I want to do when I use it. I was just feeling very tired and not great. It was a cold day again so lots of laptime for Tinus and tea for me. Happy Friday everyone4

I bumped up my 5k run to 6k, trying to prepare a little more for my 10k race on January 26th. I know I won't be completely ready for it, but I'm doing what I can. My hip issues and a few sicknesses really messed up my training plans, but I'm just doing what I can now.
For my weigh in, I'm not too happy. I am glad it is down from last week, but I was hoping I would be back to my starting weight for the month (148.0). I'll have to continue to improve my diet, watching out for the random bites that find their way into my mouth.6 -

I'm somewhat proud of the steps. After dinner I sat down on the couch for what I thought was the night, looked at my watch and saw I had 7500 steps. I said "well that ain't gonna happen" and my husband asked what so I told him I have to get 2500 more steps. He said he'd go for a walk with me but it was only 20 degrees and dark and I was afraid of the black ice from the melting during the day so I said no. I did go into the basement though, and between walking back and forth the length of it, with periodic stops to use the Bowflex for 2 minute intervals, I got them all. I don't like the Bowflex because it's more of a stair climber than an elliptical machine so rarely use that. Two minutes is about all I can stand to do at one time. But I went to bed feeling accomplished.
Until I got up this morning. Today is my day off so I slept in for an hour and when I got up and checked my Garmin both my sleep score and my body battery were the lowest they've been all week (76 and 83). I thought the extra hour would've improved them. I guess I'll have to take a nap to recoup some points.
Have a great day everyone!5 -

@Zaxa2021 I think that's a great weigh-in!! And you're doing great on your running. I think you'll be ready for the 26th. Keep up the great work.3 -

Hi all! I was travelling last week and had to eat out a few times, but bought a healthy breakfast to keep in the hotel fridge. I am doing an 8 week challenge that starts tomorrow. I committed to logging my food every day, aiming for 1,800 to 2,000 calories a day and intentionally exercising 400 minutes a week, including two weight lifting sessions. This week was a practice week and I successfully logged my food for 7 days straight. I'm very pleased about that. I am aiming to get down to 210lbs by the end of January.
I've been catching up on your posts and it sounds as if there is some other awesome work happening in the group!6 -

That was a pleasant surprise on the scale this morning, but I think its just a whoosh following TOM and riding that sugar high during the holidays. My 30 day trend is still fairly flat. I've been trying to think about what my strategy is going to be for the next little while for weight loss. Following Christmas I tried hard to get back into regularly tracking food, and there were a few days I was successful but mostly I'm doing intuitive eating. Not sure if thats working for or against me, my gingerbread house is now missing it's roof entirely, but still has 4 walls standing! It was one of those kits that come preassembled and you just have to decorate it. Therefore it's fairly stale and really difficult to break apart, and when you eat it its kinda hard as a rock with some sweetness. I'm fairly sure my cats have licked parts of it. I guess my intuition says this is a better snack than other stuff as I don't tend to binge or overeat it. And I find it comical to watch it deteriorate. So much of food is about entertainment!
Anyways, I'm still doing lots of running and have a group event/race this weekend 8km so I can't let my sugar stores get too low right? Happy New Year everyone and wish you all much success with health and shape shifting this year.

We’ve been stuck inside the house the past few days. Just a few inches of snow, but here in Texas we don’t have a lot of equipment to plow streets. And people around here don’t know how to drive so it’s just safer to stay inside. I’ve been working on some things I’ve been putting off like mending and closet cleaning although it’s very tempting to snuggle under a blanket and veg out! Stay warm, everyone!

Diet has been better this week, but not yet where I want it to be. Logged all food this week without judgment, but that also had the effect of limiting my snacking.

Good morning Shape Shifters. Not much going on yesterday. I noticed I am often pretty hungry in the mornings, even after my breakfast. Decided to switch my meals so my biggest one is in the morning. That means I am cooking my potatoes/broccoli/veggie burger for breakfast. A little weird maybe, but it made a big difference so I am happy to do it. I hate thinking about food non stop. Walked on the pad for 38 minutes. Otherwise the day was pretty boring. Happy Saturday everyone5

I'm pleased to get back to my pre Christmas weight.
I'm going away for a couple of nights with my hubby. He will be going to the Manchester United match on Sunday so I will be in my own in London for a few hours.I don't mind as I know the area well & there are a few shows on a Sunday in the West End theatres. Its very frosty here which I hate as I'm scared of slipping on the ice.Im taking my walking boots so hope they are comfy as I plan to do alot of walking.
Have a great Saturday everyone ❤️
