Steps
1/10: 11,882
I didn't do much walking other than the run and a bit of walking on the treadmill. I was planning on running 7k but I was struggling. My eating and water intake was a bit off so I wasn't properly fueled for a good run. I only ran 5k and did some walking. I completed the 7th day of running 5k, meeting my goal.
My boys are at Gramma's again for the weekend and we are celebrating my husband's birthday. I was planning on taking a rest day from the gym, but that would make it an extremely low step count/exercise day paired with higher calories, so I might go and at least do a little something. We'll see.

Hi Y'all:
It's been a tough week. I made it through Tuesday-Friday at work, but once I get home and lie down, I suffer for a few hours just to get to sleep due to the pain in my upper left leg...and then I'm up every 1.5-2 hrs to go to the restroom and drain any swelling from the day. It IS getting better, but it's certainly not easy. I'm nearing the cross into the two hundreds soon and I cannot wait to see what I'm able to do over the next 3-6 months. I look forward to this swelling going away for good and will ensure I never go through this again. Bad decisions DO haunt me...and I want to move forward. I really miss being able to walk, but right now I have to focus on nutrition and making it through each week at work. That's all the strength I have currently. @pupowl I am very sorry to have taken such a step back in co-captaining with you...know that I'm still here reading comments, but I'm not online much due to my leg issue. I got up after seeing your note today to make sure I fixed the chart.
Glad you found the source of Tinus' little litter box adventure...bet he gave you the stink eye for a bit after that bath! I had to giggle a little...very cute story. The things we do as fur moms!! LOL

I started my stint on jury duty this week. It has kind of thrown a spanner in the works for me. My people skills have become rusty and I feel pretty drained by the time I get home. I will been focusing on calories/nutrition and my daily step goal on court days but will be doing intentional exercise on non court days. I have also realized I would probably not be able to pass a field sobriety test 🙃 so continuing to work on my balance is a good thing.

@Pupowl i like your new shoes and think it was smart to do the gym intake after the January rush.

@p8m6bwghh9 Thank you. I live in a pretty small village, so not sure if the gym got that much more crowded. When I went there before, they had time slots that you have to reserve with a max amount of people, so it never got crazy busy. I really like that system.1

Good morning Shape Shifters. The scale was mean yesterday morning and made me grumpy. I did laundry and that was pretty much it. I had a headache most of the day and I didn't feel like walking so I just hit my step goal. I did start to use my rainbow tracker again because I like it, so I will put the past week under a spoiler. I took a rest day from running and just did some walking instead. Then last night we went to a friend's place to watch a football game. We had some beers and pizza so it wasn't the healthiest day, but it was fun.

Good morning Shape Shifters. A lazy Sunday for me and Tinus. It has been freezing at night for a few days in a row now so I have been feeding the garden birds. It has been really busy with lots of different ones eating. I got some groceries in the afternoon; more broccoli and a dark chocolate bar. I enjoyed my horse game as usual and walked for 41 mins / 3.5km on the pad in the evening. Happy Monday everyone6

I'm with @Pupowl having a lazy Sunday. My husband brought home several quilt tops from a woman at work on Friday. She wasn't going to do anything with them and wanted to donate to my guild. They need borders added to be a useful size, and then sandwiched and quilted. I started playing with those yesterday as I don't want to just dump them on another guild member to finish. Nevermind that I have several of my own in the same state that I should be working on. LOL

I pushed myself to run a 10k. It was a bit more difficult than I would like, but happy I was able to accomplish it. Other than that, with my kids away at Gramma's again, I also had a lazy Sunday. I had a city break in our capital city this weekend.My hubby & my 2 sons were going to London for a Manchester United match .So I travelled there & back on the train with my hubby.The boys only went for the day by minibus.
I had a few hours to kill on my own whilst the match was on.So I booked for Matilda the musical as I've never seen it before.Of course it was full of kids but I got a good seat.I loved it ❤️ the whole cast were amazing I was smiling all the way through.I then went to the National Portrait gallery & walked around Covent Garden & China town.In the evening we had booked a Greek Restaurant .The meal was great & such a lively atmosphere.We walked all the way up the river Thames the next day from Tower Bridge to the London Eye.
