So a pretty miserable time recently with quite a lot of disruption to my training. Between generally not being well over Christmas, then hurting my leg it's been inconsistent.

I managed a nice muddy 6km on Saturday, very slow as that took about 45 minutes but quite a bit of elevation and the surface was very slippy.

A fairly gentle 8km tonight at 5:53/km. I've still got a bit of tightness in my right calf, but it just made me more conscious of my gait and footstrike, so worked ok.

Awesome!! And as I watch it snow, I'm so jealous of your perfect weather!

Sometimes you just have to rest. Not a bad thing.

Life is good, still in an odd mental place though, I think it's the taper.
Glad nearly everyone's running is going well :)
Hope things come back on track for you MM
2k of medium intensity tonight. Averaged 4:45 pace, which is a bit slower than I had hoped for, but it was also a little close to dinner for a good push. 8 days until the 100k.....
5k tomorrow at parkun, then marshalling at a trail race on sunday, which means getting up at like 4am.... I'm running to my marshal point. I haven't decided exactly how far I'll run. Possibly the long course (18k), more likely the short course. (11k)

My bicycle called my name yesterday. It was 60F when I snuck out of work early to go for a ride. 20.71 miles!

@taeliesyn Will there be a website where we can follow your progress in the 100K?

I'll find out. It's the same organiser as the Track Ultra I did, so I think there is a chance. :)

Winter was back this morning, so I ran 2 miles at the gym (19:06), during which I faceplanted. Nothing injured but my pride (only got a couple of scrapes.) There were at least 50 people walking on the track.

She was just behind me. 34 min and 6 out of seven. Her group looked all like serious kid runners. She joined track next year and she got a taste of it. I think she liked it

Too cold here to run. Didn't even want to walk the dog. Brrrrr

I some how missed telling you all about my Friday run- 7 miles. Probably was trying to pretend it didn't happen. It was the next to last slowest I have ever run that route. I had to walk a couple of times up some hills. I really need to do some hill repeats.

    Embrace the suck Ceci! ;)
We all have bad runs now and then, honestly I suffered on my 5.5k yesterday to where I was marshalling for the race. I was a little glad when I came across a friend, when I heading back in that wasn't doing so well. So I had a good excuse to slow down and stick with her.
