Happy New Year Lushes!!!!

It's a new year and we al get to start over. Clean slate! What is your goal for this year?

I would like to get back to healthy and motivated. I believe that is going to require a lot more zeros in 2014.

Okay catchup:

So happy my Broncos did well. Kat - I hope they beat SF It makes the Seahawks fans happy:smile:(that would be husband)
Bridget - sorry about the Chiefs but you know how us Bronco fans feel about you guys:wink: and Syd I know you are happy about the Chargers but again, you know how us Bronco Fans feel about you guys.

Welcome Jessica:drinker:

Kim I am so on board with JSNJ. My scale has found new high numbers it has never seen before.

Syd - definitely water retention.

Gary how was your holiday?

I missed you guys:blushing:

    Happy New Year!

Sadly, I'm starting my new year without my beloved Bears. Happens every single time it comes down to us against GB. Now I am pulling for GB to beat SF.

So now I have to say "GO COLTS!"

    Happy New Year everyone!

Robin, thanks for getting the new thread up for January. The holidays went well for us. We have one more family get together on Saturday but I plan on behaving myself.

Goals for the year are likely like the rest of you. More zeros, and continue to get in some exercise and healthy foods.

Hope everyone had a great holiday, and am now looking forward to seeing what the new year brings for all of you!

    Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for starting the thread Mama Lush and welcome back!!!!!!! We missed you too  I like the Broncos, love Eric Decker. He and his adorable wife have their own show on E which I watch and she's actually pregnant with their first little one (who's also a girl!) and due around the same time I am.

Dragon - I'm a Packers girl through and through, have been since I was a wee tot. Looks like you and I will have a nice little rivalry during football season if you stick around this lovely thread :drinker:

So I already started the year without a hangover, granted it's because I could only have one small glass of the real bubbly due to growing little girl BUT I would like one of my goals to be a drastic decrease in horrible hangovers. I would think that this will be quite easy for a while given I'll be breastfeeding and even after I'll still have a little one to come home and take care of. Aside from attempting to be good with the booze I'm going to try and keep up a realistic and good exercise routine. No more working out like a mad woman and then burning myself out. I plan on losing the baby weight and weight I gained after the wedding/before getting pregnant before we have baby #2. With that said though I do want our little ones close in age but I should still have plenty of time to reach the weight I'm most comfortable at, so here's to serious motivation!! :drinker:

Husband and I took down all the Christmas decor and I cleaned up the house. I sort of ease myself into things because I still have winter decor up which is still sparkly and has lights  That will be taken down before baby girl arrives though, which is in 3 short months!! Where did this pregnancy go?! :noway:

Survived NYE without over doing the food or drink. Met the son's g/f and her parents. She's adorable and loves my son...so she must be great.
Didn't get much sleep...and the 3 hours in the car yesterday and today doesn't help.
    0 Today
    Son leaves tomorrow  :brokenheart:
I'll avoid the scale the next couple of days and try to get back in a decent routine....and set some goals for myself as well.
here's to a great 2014 for us all!

Happy 2014!!! I got schmamered NYE. Too much wine. I was pretty much a sloppy mess and I don't want to be a sloppy mess anymore. So for me, my goal is to cut back on the drinking in 2014. I was thinking about a rationing program; like only buying 3 bottles of wine a week to split between Eric and me. We'll see. I felt pretty crappy yesterday, but was able to function and even walked for 45 minutes. Today I feel rather bloated.

So my goals for 2014 is to better moderate. I think I'm going to start logging again which should help with my drinking since I am typically pretty honest with my alcohol. And seeing it on paper makes it real.......

    Let's have a great year!!

Oh Mama Lush, you know how us Chiefs fans feel about the Broncos! And I especially dislike Peyton Manning. I just hope that the Chiefs can pull off a win against the Colts!!

Happy 2014 everyone! I cannot believe it is January 2! I'm very messed up today because I had to work Monday, off Tuesday & Wednesday..and then back to work today. So, I've had 2 Mondays this week! LOL. No good!

Welcome back Mama Lush and welcome new lushes!

    Kat - You look adorable!!!

Bgrune - I am feeling today is Monday too :ohwell:

Glad to see all the lushes again. I had a great holiday..minimal drinking...hence my absence. I do check in and read every now and again.

Football sucks for me this year since the Falcons suck this year. So I am cheering for the Pats and then the Broncos.

Hope the new year brings love and happiness to you all and not just in liquid form... although that's okay too!

I like the Broncos, I mean, I like for them to win, but I don't watch, I usually use that time to do something else! Maybe I will watch the playoffs, or not, since they have been doing so well without me;)

NYE I had 2 glasses of wine and 2 beers with dinner, then 3 more beers at a concert. so I was a little hungover yesterday. I had fish n chips and two beers.

tonight is my usual Thursday get together with the girls, I will try and stick to 3 drinks.

After Jan 8 (21 day countdown to Costa Rica) I want to limit my drinking and calories in general, so hoping to log a few 0s with you lushes here!

I did well yesterday, I only had two fingers of Zacapa grand reserve(Yum! ) and then one bacardi and diet coke. that was it all day. The scale was horific this morning. a number I have never seen and hope to never see again. I really have got to get it together and take care of this.

I have a trip planned in April/May for our 5 year anniversary so I hope to lose a bit by then. Zeros here I come. :drinker: :drinker: :drinker:

I drank quite a bit on NYE, but I didn't feel like death like I expected yesterday. I did spend most of the day napping though. I'm too scared to hit the Y just yet....the amount of people just gives me crazy anxiety! At home DVD for me tonight...and try to tidy up the house a bit - even though that is hard with a broken vacuum :ohwell:

    Wednesday - 0
    Thursday - will be 0
Friday - Hubby & I are going to Bonefish Grill & wine will be had :drinker:

Good job, mamalush...my scale is a truthful ***** of a machine and now I have to take it seriously. It is going to take months of re-commitment.

Nice to see you pop in, Ms. Wolfie!!

Kat, that is def one cute baby bump!! You and I will cheer for GB now that the Bears are out of it. I CANNOT believe that they resigned Cutler for next year *bangs head*

4 nights and counting here....Day 2 of JSNJ

Thanks ladies =} I don't always feel adorable but that comes with only being 5'2" and having a big ol' belly.

Kat I am 5'2" as well so belly seemed to be large on me too. But you look like you are all belly, which is good!

Two 0's in a row. Tonight is my first test of drinking moderately. We have my bro-in-law's concert and going to grab a quick bite before. I may drink beer. That always seems to last longer.

I got on the scale today for the first time in a couple months and took measurements as well. Not surprisingly, all numbers (except my neck) were up. Nowhere to go but down from here! Have a great weekend lushes.

    Kat, super cute baby bump!!

Wednesday & Thursday nights were 0's!

My goal is to moderate my alcohol intake better this year. I enjoy not waking up on Saturday mornings with a hangover because then I can be more productive during the day! However, I'm going to have to buckle down and hope hubby will do the same with me. With his little brother moving in next week, I don't see that happening...but I will refuse to lose my Friday & Saturday nights with hubby since those are the only nights I get to see him! UGH!! I don't want his brother to move in with us   Only 6 months...just 6 months...have to keep telling myself that. :grumble:

I'm thinking about purchasing a Fitbit Force today. I had such great success with my HRM, but that crapped out quite a while ago, so I need something new! What do you all think??

Syd, I ordered my Fitbit this afternoon...but it is backordered 2-4 weeks. I had an HRM for so long and then it died on me...and it seems like this new thing will keep track of a lot more. I love to see data on stuff! LOL!

    welcome back sister!

2 glasses of red wine last night...stepped on the scale and it wasn't *too* bad. hope to knock it back this week as I start the exercise and eating right again. The husband is on board so that should help. He's motivated to get in shape for a ski trip. I'm already looking forward to spring break in march...got a week long trip and a bathing suit as my motivation. :noway:
Decorations are coming down today..and a good workout. Party tomorrow for the Chargers game. Enjoy your weekend everyone! :drinker:

    HAPPY FRIDAY:drinker:

I returned the "flex" for the "one" - here's my reasoning....I did not like the clasp on the flex. One side punctures into the other instead of a tradition metal clasp like a watch (high risk for losing and a ***** to put on). Also, kind of bulky if you already wear a watch. The flex did not give specifec numbers - it just kind of flashes at you. The Flex has more data on it so you might be happy with it. So, I returned mine for the One which I am super happy with.

Hi, lil' bunny...good to see a lush return home.

Day 3 of JSNJ is a success - not sure if it gets any easier....9.6% done and 2 passes left

Sorry, Kat, I couldn't have a drink for you...pretending I am mock pregnant with you

    I'mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!!!!!!!!

I took a hiatus over the summer which took me until October to really get back into things (I coached 2 seasons of volleyball) and I was trying to not log and just eat/drink intuitively, and it wasn't quite working, so here I am. I missed you guys so much!!!!!!!

Kat, your baby bump is adorable. I don't even know if I knew you had a bun in the oven. Congrats!!

Anyway, what's been going on? How is everyone? I'm good here...I'm hating my job and trying to get out of the classroom, but I'm loving my kids this year. Girl child just turned 5 and is going on 15 and Boy child will be 8 in April and he's just plugging along doing his thing. I finished my EdS in June (classes) and passed my comps in December, so I've officially "graduated" and will get my diploma at the end of the month. Husband and I are thinking about moving up north to the Ft. Collins area...but we'll see.

So, I'm still lushing it up (very much so) and have taken a liking to darker beers and Jim Beam...which is scary for me!!

I am being very moderate. a couple of Vodka Cranberries last night. nothing yet today. still not real motivated though.

I am loving that all the lushes are stopping back in. Welcome home. I wonder if Dave (Poppa Lush) or Yvonne will stop back by.

Bridget, I love my Fitbit one. it hides in my bra all day so no one sees it. Granted I haven't worn it for about two months because of my lack of motivation.

Syd. I remember when I used to miss my workouts. and healthy food when I didn't get it. I have overcome those feelings. :noway: this is not a good thing. :grumble:

I am having an internal argument with myself. I want a cider. I have some in the fridge. :ohwell:

    Happy Lushing.
