Last night got a bit crazy. Five (ish) beers and 2 shots of chocolate vodka. And it's as delicious as it sounds. I could have drank the entire bottle if it wasn't for that pesky black out and possible death thing.

    Lol sis...that cracked me up.

WOOOOHOOO CHARGERS! I managed to get in a workout during halftime to help relieve stress and turn things around and it worked!
now I can relax the rest of the day and maybe enjoy a cocktail or 2. Gooooo Green bay. I hate the 9'ers.

Syd, congrats on your Chargers! Looks like I'll be rooting for them against the Denver Donkeys!

Needless to say, my Chiefs lost yesterday. They got too cocky and threw the game away. Totally sucked. Many beers were had last night...and I managed to workout today! YAY!

    Back to the grind tomorrow...boo!

Needless to say I have been overinduldging lots and not working out as much as I should. I am excited to get back into my routine.

    Welcome back sister and amy!!!

I'm so sleepy from the weekend. Also this is a very busy time of year at work for me, so I must get cracking....MEH :grumble:

Hi Dot - welcome back....I thought about the intuitive eating comment and think that's how I get in trouble.

I used up one of my passes yesterday and so that leaves one left for the month.

    Jan 1-5 - 0
Jan 6 - I have no idea - maybe 8 since I started at 1600 and got home at 2300...1 pass used

Green Bay lost so we my two favorite teams are out of it...

Kate, I was wondering where you have been!! Glad you decided to join us again

    Welcome back, Dot!!

Sorry your Packers lost, Kim! I was rooting for them cause I dislike the 49ers & I LOVE Aaron Rodgers! Maybe next year!!

    Sunday - 0
    Monday - will be 0!

I'm aiming for all 0's until Friday night! :drinker:

I did it! I moderated! And had such a better weekend for it.

Friday - 2 beers at dinner, 2 glasses of wine and a vanilla vodka with diet coke at my brother-in-law's show. The drinks were small, so that = 2. So total of 4ish drinks. I even got home at 10:30 and did not have another drink.

Saturday - a beer and 2 glasses of wine

    Sunday - 3 beers

That was fantastic. Probably a 0 tonight. Maybe a beer. We have a ton left over from NYE.

So close, if only defense had actually gotten to work and made a stop then my Pack could have won, so pissed :explode: . Baby was also angry and stomping all around in my belly. I couldn't even drown my sorrows in alcohol either

And so, football is over for this football loving gal :frown: What's worse is about 6 months ago when I ordered some Packers gear…..they sent me 49er's sweatpants :noway: so I ordered again and AGAIN they sent me 49er's sweatpants!!! My poor cousin and the reason I've been a Packers fan my whole life was at the game, I can only imagine how pissed he was.

Husband is having a weight loss competition with his sisters boyfriend, this is good for me as well because we'll be having lots of healthy food. With baby girl being due in 3 months we actually have to make a baby registry because despite the fact that I don't want one, my mom and best friend are apparently planning a baby shower. Oh well.

Got most of my cleaning done yesterday which is good because it is gloomy here today and I just don't have much energy so I'll do some laundry and be lazy on the couch.

MamaLush, I have no choice but to get some zeros. I simply cannot let the scale go any higher. I am too vain for that.

School was cancelled again for tomorrow....temps down to 45 below with the wind chill...red wine would be nice by the fireplace

Wasn't really planning on a sober January but I want to shed the poundage I gained over the last couple months.

School is closed here also with the wind chills in the -20's.

It was -4 today when I woke up, but it warmed up to 40-something...the major roads are clear of snow and whatnot...I love that about Colorado. You peeps in the damn-cold places stay warm!!!

My winter break was lushy...I'm sure none of you are surprised. So, I'm going to try and be "good" during the weeks to save it for the weekends.
    Sunday-1 Breckenridge Christmas Ale
    Monday-teeny glass of Moscato

Today we're supposed to get up to 38 degrees! HEAT WAVE!!!

I did a little at home yoga last night & no drinks. I was planning on going to the Y tonight, but I forgot my headphones at home...and quite frankly, I hate going home & then having to drive all the way to the gym. Maybe some more yoga tonight instead??

Going to have another 0 for tonight. I'm really going to try my hardest to not drink anything until Friday nights...and then try to just limit it to Friday night. I stepped on the scale the other morning...and while I didn't gain anything during the holidays, I definitely need to lose!!!

Id like to rack up a few more. We'll see how it goes.

Stay warm everyone! I'll spare you what our temps are here in SoCal. :glasses:

Bridget - sometimes it's not the scale that scary - IT'S THE MIRROR!! I had to put on a bathing suit for the Dells and I was a pasty white, fat, fat old looking woman :grumble:

I'm going to visit SoCal!! I'll bring wine...OK, off to workout for the first time in a long time - Kickboxing new gym

Kim, I definitely believe you on that one too!! But I highly doubt that you look like a fat, fat old looking woman! As far as the pasty white thing goes...welcome to my daily life! Haha. I am so fair skinned, I can only spray tan...and that takes way too much upkeep for this little Irish girl!! Hope you enjoyed kickboxing!

I forgot my headphones at home so there is no way I'm going to the Y after work. But I also have to pick up kitty food & then I don't know if I'll have the energy to workout at home. I am trying to talk myself into something...but we'll see!! UGH!

Monday - a beer because I was sitting under the kitchen sink with a blow dryer trying to thaw our pipes. It finally worked in conjunction with a lot of other efforts.....EFF the cold weather! It's been in the negatives in KY. We're in the 20's today and it feels warm!
Tuesday - 3 glasses of wine. About 15 oz. I'm going to count 5 glasses per bottle for a while instead of 4.

Eric showed me this article last night about binge drinking and how most health care providers never ask people about their drinking. Then there was a quiz to take. It asked if in the last year you had had 4 or more drinks in one sitting as a male or 3 for a female (Of course). Then how many days a week you drink (I put 4....which some weeks is a stretch.....) and how many drink you typically have (I put 3....again sometimes a stretch.....) and those answers put me in the top 9% of female drinkers - "highest risk". Eric put the same numbers and he is in the second highest category. So this told me 2 things: I drink more than you average bear (duh). But more importantly, drinking as a female is different than a male for whatever biological reasons. I tend to "keep up" with Eric, when really I should be drinking less. OK....end rant. Just some more evidence that I should be drinking less. So anyways, three 5oz glasses last nigth was not too bad. I'll have a 0 tonight. Maybe a beer Thursday. Keep it mellow this weekend as well. I'm feeling good about moderating this year.

Note to self: Do NOT buy a Black Box Merlot if you are trying to not have any drinks during the week. Boxes are so conveniet to say I'll just have a glass and end up having 4. :noway:

Kim, I was just on a yacht in St Maarten for a week and everyday, first thing in the morning, I put on a bathingsuit and saw a Seattle chalky white, fat fat FAT old lady looking back at me in the mirror. Every day. :grumble: I have to find the mojo to get back to that women that I posted here in the bikini when we first met. I can't seem to find her. I think I ate her while being slightly inibriated.

I am happy that all of you in the freezing cold are finally starting to warm up. It has just hung out in the 40's around here.

katie...work sucks! i hope things calm down. good for you for not going to the bottle at night to deal with the stress. that's what i would do.

better...yeah my dr asks about my drinking. but she drinks too lol. i think the binge drinking is an issue for sure...and it's something we as women really need to be aware and careful about. it's my goal to avoid those in 2014.. i think i did better last year but still slipped up. it's not fun and i just end up feeling like crap.

that said...I had one glass of red last night.
i hope you all warm up. i just cannot even begin to imagine the cold youve all endured. :noway: 70's here all week.

yeah, I took the quiz and I drink most nights and have 3 minimum so I decided maybe to log a couple of 0s and get it down to 3 nights per week and maybe if I don't drink for a while, 3 will be enough? hope so...

Also, I am a fan of the spray tan for beach vacations, but they are too pricey for the regular life.

I put on some of my clothes for Costa Rica and I wasn't totally devastated but I do need a little trim down on the belly area... but, get this:
    Sunday=0 drinks
    Monday=0 drinks
    Tuesday=0 drinks
Probably none tonight, either. It's some kind of personal record:blushing:

I read the same article and have the same concerns as the rest of you. That's why I would like to manage zeros through the week. This week its not happening yet but I still have a coupe of days to do it. Glad to see I am in such good company!

I generally try to keep my drinking to Friday & Saturday nights...but I know that I am considered a binge drinker on those nights because I definitely have more than 3 drinks!

I'm having another 0 tonight and will be another 0 tomorrow night! Then on Friday....all bets are off! Hubby's little brother (& his obnoxious dog) are moving in....and aren't leaving until August  I hope this doesn't drive me to drink more!! LOL

It's family, ya gotta think of if it were you that needed a place to stay. Plus with how quickly years seem to go by now it'll be August before we know it :noway:

As far as drinking, before getting pregnant I could go Monday - Thursday without drinks leaving Friday, Saturday and Sunday as fair game. I'm not sure what my ultimate goal will be once little one is out and about but the goal as of right now is to just moderate. I know I'll probably want/need a glass or two at the end of the day during the week so I'm not going to say that I'll abstain on certain days and not others. Weekends will be much easier as we won't be able to just go out to dinner and drink 2 bottles of wine between husband and I and then go to the restaurant bar and drink more. Little girl will be our moderator  . I must say though these last 6+ months of no alcohol/no hangovers have been pretty nice. Don't get me wrong I can't wait to be able to have my wine and beer again but seeing people with their hangovers while I feel totally fine has certainly changed how I'd like to go about my booze consumption.

Ok time to get off my butt and go work out!

Kat, you're 100% correct. I absolutely love him, and he is a great guy. It's not like he is homeless. He has a nice high paying internship that he is starting on Monday morning....and he isn't going to be paying us rent either, so I'm a little peeved about that. Also, I'm just not wanting the whole "roommate" dynamic. I've never had one for a reason. I'm just very controlling of my space and surroundings, so it will be a huge adjustment for me to have someone around all the time when I'm home. I'm so used to being alone in the evenings! Everything will be fine. I'm just a teeny bit stressed at the moment. This too shall pass :)
