Went to another Shop Rite today because Talenti is on sale... no luck. This sucks! So I got my two favorites (caramel and butter pecan) plus two I haven't tried yet, caramel apple pie and raspberry and cream.
I like the caramel apple pie a lot. My grocery store says I should have the new talenti flavors Tuesday.

I should really ask mine... I'll probably go back this week to check anyway, before the deal runs out. Might have to do something about the freezer situation if they do though... getting full.0 -

Lol. Mines empty. I'm holding out. Just girl scout cookies and a lonely pint of pumpkin pie.

Mine is mostly frozen veggies, with some chicken nuggets for the kids and a bit of frozen fish.0

I got it at Target. They also had a Mint Chocolate, but I didn't get it.
My Shoprite now has the Strawberry Truffle (yay!). I noticed also a Vanilla Caramel and a Cappuccino flavors. I didn't get either this time since there was no sales, but I'll be interested in the Vanilla Caramel for when they do
Tonight I have B&J's Boom Chocolatta!0 -

I've had the vanilla caramel. I liked it. Honestly I really like all the ones I've tried so far (tiramisu, raspberry cheesecake and triple chocolate).0 -
I bought the Blue Bell Mardi Gras. It's a cinnamon base with pieces of cake and cream cheese icing. The cinnamon base was good, but I got no cake pieces in my serving.
My boyfriend had some cake pieces. He said it was kind of just like birthday cake. A little disappointing, but not horrible. I had to get a half gallon because that's the only size they sell. I probably wouldn't buy it again.

Today at Giant I picked up Haagen Dazs Spiced Pecan Turtle, Edy's Snickerdoodle Custard, Talenti Black Cherry, & another of the Talenti Salted Caramel Peanut. For those of you who shop at Giant the Talenti is on sale for $3.99 & the Haagen Dazs is 2 for $7.00.
Tonight I tried some of the Edy's Snickerdoodle. The custard was hard as a rock & I bent a spoon trying to get it out LOL! It had a nice cinnamon taste & a few crunchy cookies; however, it's still not as good as Ben & Jerry's Cinnamon Buns.
I've never seen the Talenti Black Cherry & will try a serving tomorrow.0 -
Tried some of the Talenti Black Cherry & it was a lot better than I thought it would be. It has 200 calories per serving. It had a creamy base with a decent amount of cherry mix-ins. I was worried that it would taste as awful as their Lisbon Lemon flavor, but luckily that wasn't the case.
Also had a serving of the Haagen Dazs Spiced Pecan Turtle & found it pretty interesting. It had a chocolate base that isn't too overpowering with a decent amount of turtle mix-ins & just the right amount of spice to surprise you at times.
Anyone try the Haagen Dazs Ginger Molasses Cookie?0 -
I'm traveling for work and just got the invite to our group dinner tomorrow night. It's unlikely I will take pics of my food among colleagues, so I will just go ahead and post the link to the menus for those so inclined to look.... Desserts look amazing! They post the calorie counts, LOL, gotta love California!

I wouldn't even care. In my belly. When you see the calorie content for everything else, you're pretty much screwed anyway, might as well enjoy it, lol!0 -

That's definitely what I'd go for. And super nice that they have the calorie counts for everything.0 -
Well Shop Rite DID have the new Talenti flavors. YESSS. I probably got a little bit too excited. I guess I was disappointed at first because I didn't see them, then I went to the other side of the isle to check something else and the freezer at the end with the promotion stuff was pretty much full of them. I might have squeeled.
So I bought the 3 I wanted (did not see tiramisu and I'm pretty bummed about that) and had a couple tablespoons of each when I got home...
Raspberry cheesecake - good. Didn't seem to be that many mix ins but the pieces are huge. Not sure how it's going to work out. The cheesecake bits didn't quite taste like the regular cream cheese I'm used to though... more like some kind of Greek yogurt cheesecake I guess, with some stronger cheese flavor. Still good, just not quite what I was expecting.
Chocolate chip cookie dough - um, where are the mix ins? There seemed to be stuff and swirls in it, but no pieces of cookie dough that I could find (I had a little more of that one hoping to find some... but nope). Still good, but a disappointment so far, compared to that chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream from the local shop here that is incredible. Will have to get a bigger serving and try again.
Hazelnut chocolate chip - incredible. But of course, I love hazelnut everything.
I also got to try the other two I got the other day... The caramel apple pie is too sweet for me, I think, but was still pretty good. I'll probably save it for when I have an apple pie craving because that will definitely work. The raspberry and cream flavor was pretty decent but I was a bit disappointed... I used to find some Greek yogurt raspberry gelato that had less calories and was actually better, but they have been out lately. Bummer. I'll still eat it though, obviously, but will probably not buy again.
I just wish I had more room in my freezer right now. But overall, I don't think I'll buy any of those flavors again except for the hazelnut one (which is even better than the plain hazelnut from Target).0 -

Today is the day (i hope) the grocery guy said they would be here! Good find it sounds like!

That's what I had my eye on as well. Also the affogatto because I saw Giada make it one time and it looked so good, but how can I pass up hazelnut cake with salted caramel gelato for espresso and vanilla!?

Going to check the other Shop Rite at some point this week for the Tiramisu one.0 -
Ok the other Shop Rite didn't have it either. Bummer. I got the Fudge Brownie instead, I had been meaning to try it anyway.0

Sea Salt Caramel Talenti today!
Just curious, but did they change it? I don't remember there being chocolate caramel mix-ins in it... but then again, the last time I had it was a long time ago... probably more than 9 months.0 -

Whoo! I thought the Cookie Dough tasted very generic! I'll try the Hazelnut one on Thursday & still need to find the Raspberry Cheesecake.
If you like the Sea Salt Caramel flavor then you need to try the Salted Caramel Peanut.0 -

I saw the salted caramel peanut but I'm not a huge peanut fan.
I had a bit more of the cookie dough tonight and did manage to find a very disappointing chunk. I mean, it's not bad, but if I want cookie dough ice cream I'll go back to my local place instead with its tons of delicious mix ins (although it probably has a ton more calories too).0 -

Still no new talenti for me. Apparently I was not clear with the words NEW FLAVORS. So breyers raspberry cheesecake is what I get tonight.0

I got some of that too. I really want the strawberry truffle though, I just haven't had any luck finding it. Gotta make a trek to Super Target this weekend.0 -

Doh. Did you check the end of the isles where the promo items usually are? Both the Shop Rite I went to didn't have them with the regular flavors.

Without reading all 46 pages, I wanted to pose a question...While I don't doubt the deliciousness of Talenti (I haven't had it, but now after reading about it, I'll make sure I pick myself up some next go around at the store). Any Ohio People out there that have had Jeni's Ice Cream. IT'S THE BOMB!
Thanks for creating this group. Talking about "Ice Cream" on the regular forums seem to make people "hangry".0 -

I'm not from Ohio, but I love most of Jeni's Ice creams.

Jeni's is awesome, but I don't often spring for it. I have a hard time justifying that $12 price tag.
Welcome!0 -
Yes, I agree. But being a "Buckeye" I feel the need to support the local economy...LOL
Lately I have also been addicted to Krogers "Peanut Butter Candy Crunch" ice cream. Really cheap, and it has pieces of Butterfinger in it. TO DIE FOR. But then again, anything with Peanut Butter and Chocolate is amazing.

I need to find where Jeni's is, and the brand you guys were talking about in the other thread. That's the problem with only having three groceries around me and one's Walmart.
And apparently the nice store by my brother and sister-in-law has it. Time for a road trip!0
