Sunday: 4 miles of walking. Going to take it easy now and see if my knee calms down :indifferent:
Hi Rachel
I noticed that you are back on justa\ after the race. Is it advidsable to run/jog/walk everyday? I had been practiceing almost every day but had been reminded several time by my reflexologist. He says the muscles are cramped.
I consider walking a type of cross-training. Plus, I had to get to work.0 -
Hey Reese. You are simply doing and amazing job..including Will of course.
Day 1 - 8 km
Day 2 - 1 km
Total of 9 km = 5.6 km
Thats all from me for this week. Sorry guys. I will join back after 26th November. I think its a welcoming break. As yesterday I had over strained myself. Climbed up and down about 300 flight of stairs TWICE. And walk/jog for 7 km. It did not jive well. My muscles are protesting.0 -

I have always been told in and out through the nose, but I have read on article that said in through the nose and out through mouth. I do the first one0 -

I don't have a car, so I can't get anywhere without walking at least a tenth of a mile unless a friend picks me up. That's how I rack up so many miles!0 -

Haven't read all responses but in my running book i'm reading they suggest (for running at least) to breath in/out through mouth b/c you can't get as much oxygen through your nose and when running you need all you can get!
As I google it though, I get conflicting views.
Nose is better - http://ultimatefitness.wordpress.com/2006/10/13/the-importance-of-nasal-breathing/

So far:
