Wade, tell us more, tell us more!

Um...a little beer on Sunday, nothing last night and probably nothing tonight. Or maybe so. I have an open bottle of Pinot grigot that's calling my name.

Monday wine with dinner, accompanied by a lovely young lady who proved to be pleasant company indeed.
I'm hearing porn music in my head.

Nothing better than a day of skiing, followed by good food/drinks and really good sex after.
Did I just say that out loud? :glasses:

I too, am working to get everything done for the holidays by the end of this week so I can just enjoy next week off. I'm running around like a mad woman..and having my usual 1/2 glasses of wine a night.
Hope everyone else is well!! :drinker:

Craving peanut butter cups, and don't have the ingredients to make the ones posted on the recipe thread. So I opted for a chocolate martini (which I do have the ingredients for) and a tbsp of peanut butter, still feel like I've won :-)

I have a question for the wives or wives to be. What is the reason (if if applies to you) that you don't wear your engagement or wedding rings? To me, it's like smacking Kyle (your fiancé/husband) in the face if you don't wear the ring. I just feel like if your guy buys you a beautiful ring then you should wear it.

Kat, the second I get home from work, I take mine off. I don't like to exercise with them on...my hands swell and I can't STAND the feeling of constriction. When I do get home, I'm cooking, cleaning, doing laundry, wiping butts... I don't like wearing my rings when I'm doing all that either. Basically, I wear them at work or when we go out, but on the weekends, if we're just hanging out, they stay in my jewelry box.

2 glasses of wine tonight...I'm revising papers and they're so bad...ugh, I'd be shocked if I DON'T start doing shots soon.

went out last night. lots of Miller light and 3 shots of honey turkey. ugh, I wish I was still home in bed. How does one stay within their calorie limits and still drink?? thats a tough one for me.

Kat-I really never wear my rings, unless we are in a social setting....I'm allergic to platinum apparently! I wore it everyday throughout our engagement (22mths) and dealt with it because it was so exciting and I love my ring. My husband doesn't mind that I don't really wear them. We've found that after awhile the relationship is more important than the ring. But enjoy putting it on every single day and showing it off, it is a very exciting thing for both of you!!! xoxo

And Amy-never wore my rings working out either...you are so right about the swelling and being uncomfortable!!!

Last night 10oz of wine! Tonight, we are going to a Avery Brewery event at our favorite beer bar, woohoo!!!!

I am the same way with my rings, I take it off as soon as I walk in the door, usually bc I work out when I get home and then I don't put them back on until I leave for work in the morning. I cant sleep with them on for some reason it really bugs me.

    Monday-0
    Tuesday-0
    Wednesday-probably some wine :)

I almost never take my rings off because it seems like they only get lost when they are off your fingers! But, lifting weights means taking them off or I get blisters.
My husband takes his ring off a lot, I can't believe he hasn't lost it by now, but he takes it off for working out, yardwork, and just sitting around playing with it. I tease him that he is going to the yard trying to look single:wink: but it doesn't bother me that he takes it off and I wouldn't be mad if he lost it, either. It's really about the relationship, my sister stopped wearing her wedding ring and it was meant to be hostile, or send a message.
    oh and...
Sunday, Monday, tuesday=0 drinks! I don't think there will be any drinking tonight, either...

Kat, I wear my ring constantly. I never take it off unless I'm taking a shower or going to hot yoga. Otherwise, it's on all the time. I love my ring too much to take it off!! My husband takes his ring off the minute he gets home from work. I get so angry if he forgets to wear it to work! Drives me nuts!

I had a TON of drinks last night at the office holiday party. I feel like I'm going to throw up today, but I still went to my trainer. Although I asked him to take it easy on me, lol :)

    Gotcha.

I love jewelry and I know Kyle paid a pretty penny for my ring and I absolutely love it so I don't take it off for long periods of time. I know Kyle will wear his all the time because I bought him a ring a few years ago engraved with his Grampa's initials and the date he passed away along with the God serenity prayer on the inside because his Gramp always carried that prayer around and he never takes it off except for occasionally when he works out. Plus to me, even though the actual relationship is the important part, the symbolism of the rings is just as important. Luckily since we were together for 8 years before getting engaged Kyle knew what size to get and my ring still feels fine even when my fingers swell from too much sodium or what have you. I was just wondering though. My best friends cousin has a beautiful ring that her husband apparently spent like a years salary on and she never wore it and I just couldn't understand why if he spent all that money on her why she wouldn't wear it and enjoy it. She wears it now though, not sure what changed haha. My uncle's wife used to not wear hers because they lived in Venezuela and apparently people will take your whole finger just to get the ring, scary!

Never heard of someone allergic to platinum, weird!

Too many drinks last night but I was able to get some sleep, feel crappy today but not from the booze, still pretty sick and stuffy. So happy Kyle gets home tonight. I just hope I feel better for New York on Saturday.

Having a "winter" martini because even though my wonderful fiancé will be home from work traveling, I have a really hard time sleeping when my nose is stuffed up. I hate breathing through my mouth! I also keep getting that tickle as if I'm going to sneeze buuuut then I don't and it's just so itchy and annoying!
