Just wanted to say hi and save this thread for later! I just started following a lower carb diet (The Metabolism Miracle) and I don't dare post on the forums about it.

For Lent this year I went LC, Basically South Beach Phase 1. I lost a good 5#! For me that's something! Unfortunatly I stopped and practically carb binged after, and guess what, it's all back.
i'm gonna try and not go completely carb free, but make better carb choices, more like Phase 2. But I did learn a couple of things.
1. I had little or no PMSing while off Carbs! No cramps, no sore chest, etc!
2. I seem to be bad carb sensitive. Even just a little and it seems to go straight to my belly and thighs.
Did anyone see the article about the benefits of having only one or two LC days a week, and still getting all the weight loss benefits? I think it may have been a British study/article. May try that.
My biggest weeknesses are: pringles, baked potatoes, ok potatoes in general, ice cream. Bread I like to make my own or eat rye, and rice I've switched to Basmati. But I really need to do better on those pringles...I think after Easter I ate one or two cans a week! :-(
